Best virtual piano I have every had the pleasure to play.

BEAUTIFUL piano for certain applications. However, I was mostly interested in their 'super soft' patch but the pedal sounds in this patch are too loud and there's no option to turn the pedal off. No refunds possible. I guess I'll keep shopping. :(

Doesn’t sound that good. Piano sounds in the 90s were better. I’d really like a refund.

One of the best piano libraries I ever used!

Beautiful sounding piano. Already become my go-to for anything epic or large in scale.

Not really playable, but with a lot of potential Since a long time I'm already looking for a Steinway sampled instrument. And my hope was that with HZP and all the differnent microphone settings I could mix the sound until it fits my expectations. As non-professional piano player I use a piece of S. Rachmaninoff which has dynamics from ppp to ffff to test digital pianos. Unfortunately with HZP I have been disappointed, because the instrument as it is now is not really playable. I've a bit experience with Kontakt programming and I think most of the issues below could be solved with a proper script, so there is a lot of potential for this instrument. Some details ordered by priority: - When pressing the hold pedal and playing several times the same notes and then release the hold pedal there is a noticable drop in volume which sound very unnatural - Re-padelling is not implemented (this is quite important when playing Rachmaninoff) - Dynamic range sounds compressed: Playing very loud (e.g. ffff) does not really bring the big and fat sound of a Steinway whereas silent phrases (e.g. ppp) sound OK - For low notes (e.g. A-1) when playing very loud (velocity 127) without pedal and holding the notes and then press the pedal it seems to cut the low frequencies - Half-pedal is not implemented - GUI contains some controls which are not used and should be removed: MIC MIX TO ARTICULATION, DYNAMICS I've tried to test the different mics separately (in _Individual Signals_) and have found quite some issues: Hans Zimmer Piano (Surround): - When playing with low velocity 31 - 49 it sounds mono - I've checked the Kontakt mapping editor and it is an issue with the samples for that mic and velocity (the other samples sound in stereo) Hans Zimmer Piano (Room): - When playing a glissando over dry notes (hold pedal not pressed) and then presse the hold pedal you still hear all the notes - Note that this problem cannot be reproduced with the distance compensated patch (Hans Zimmer Piano (TC Room)) - Looking into the Kontakt editor shows that there is a flexible envelope missing which might fix this problem Hans Zimmer Piano (Alt Room): - Is missing, but exists as distance compensated patch Hans Zimmer Piano (Mid A/B/C/D/Alt Room): - When playing notes in the range of A-1 to G0 using velociy 90 - 109 with no pedal hold then every 5th note (round robin is set to 5) sounds really different to the others - Looking in the Kontakt group editor it seems to be a problem in the rr1 sus (pedal up) groups Hans Zimmer Piano (Gallery Near): - Looking in the Kontakt mapping editor for group rr2 sus (pedal up) the sample for E1 - F1 is empty (flat line) Hans Zimmer Piano (Bottle): - This is mono (I don't know right now for what I should use that) Hans Zimmer Piano (Outriggers): - The underlying samples sound a bit left panned

Very clean, very expressive piano. The sound and mics settings come perfect for my kind of music. It is versatile and best quality.

Purchased the Hans Zimmer Piano. Probably the best piece of music software I’ve ever used. The fidelity, responsiveness and dynamics are second to none. It’s super intuitive and sounds superb.

The ability to mix the innumerous amount of mic positions and the multiple playing styles makes this piano truly stand out beyond anything I've heard from a plugin before. It just sounds perfect. After testing it out for about a month now there's never been a time I felt it needed to be brighter or too bright or doesn't sound full, it just reverberates beautifully whether played quiet or loud and it is a truly unique tone that you will not hear with another piano. When the tone of your instrument sings back to you the harmonics that is otherwise missing from your typical piano sound, writing becomes a process of dusting off the jewels that rise to the surface.

I got chills when I started playing these instruments. The quality of the samples is breathtaking.

Well recorded, but the piano itself is harsh and not worthy of sampling.

Wow this sounds like a grand piano. I mean a real one .

A clear and deep sound. Just few notes and a big screen atmosphere is created. Excellent!

Very dissapointed with this VST :( First of all, it took me ages to set it up because there's no clear instructions on how to proceed in order to see it in the DAW. I had to surf the Internet for hours to finally find someone who had the same problem and eventually managed to find the solution and kindly shared it in the forums. But the real issue here comes with the sound quality. It definitely doesn't meet my expectations. It is so bad, very artificial, no body, no depth. Almost no dynamics (dynamics controller is useless), the sound balance on the keys is horrible, it breaks constantly, even the fortes have no consistancy with random spikes and pannings. The build-in piano sound that comes with my keyboard has better sound, and ironically my aim was to get a better one, so sad. I had such high hopes with the world-class Hans Zimmer Piano, and I absolutely thought the price would assure the quality and the versatility I needed, but it just doesn't. If I could I would return it, but there's no such option anywhere, so I just lost 400€.

The demos online sounded a bit warmer than what I heard when I opened it - perhaps there are some settings/parameters that I need to play with.
