The Spitfire Studio plugins are the best orchestral plugins I have come across and although expensive, you’ll never need to get a different library to upgrade.

I like Spitfire Audio's libraries because they just sound so musical, and I like this library because it also sounds very good. I would be happy if you could provide a dedicated plug-in version instead of the Kontakt version.
This is a really great package overall. It's very hard to make software brass sound good, especially without a breath controller. These are certainly not perfect, but they are among the best I've heard, and they fit very well into an orchestral mix. If you're trying to do a trumpet concerto, this might not be the best library, but I doubt any software brass instrument would suffice for a solo work like that. My two biggest cons are the range and the loop points. I think the upper range of especially the higher brass is a little limited. I do some work that requires some extreme highs, especially with trumpets, and these "only" go up to a D above the staff for trumpet and E above for piccolo trumpet. It would be nice to have a little higher for these, but I know this range works for 98% of music, especially orchestral settings. For the loop points, I do enjoy that the samples go on forever, but you can pretty clearly hear the swell of the note each time the sample loops. Again, I know this is more extreme cases, but it would be nice if the loop points were a little more consistent in volume for doing long drones, etc. Overall, it's a great library and I definitely recommend it. I love the large selection of instruments included and the variations throughout. Plus the massive amount of control you have over each instrument (especially in mic balancing) is great.
This is a totally Professional Product... the quality of the sounds I can now produce are simply amazing.
This library has a lot going for it, but unfortulantely, there are also some things to be aware of before purchasing it: THE PRO'S: -Huge variety of instruments (some, I didn't even know existed...) and articulations. -Huge dynamic range, from very soft and intimate "long's" to wall-shaking "SFZ's" or "staccatissimo's" -Very handy "light" patches for less powerful computers -Legato patches sound so, so, so good !!! THS CON'S: -some very harsh dynamic transitions with the trumpet's, for instance; which makes some dynamic melodic phrases a pain to programme on the piano-roll with "CC 01" automations (CC 01 is the CC that controls modulation, which control's the dynamic of the sound in this library) -I'm no orchestral maestro and I'm sure I will get to know, understand and use this library to it's full potential in the near future but for now, it sound kind'a aggressive and lacks some "air" out of the box... I don't know if this means something or not but I would have just liked the sound to "breath" just a tiny bit more. -Noteworthy information: I purchased this library with a -50% discount. And for 199 euros, it's an absolute steal !! I aquired it as my first brass library. Despite the small things I have against this brass library, I highly recommend it for it's huge versatility.

Absolutely excellent made library - nearly uncountable different sounds, so realistic - I love the possibility with this dry sounds to give them with additional plugins the character which I love most and fits best for my compositions.
The sound and number of instruments and articulations is excellent! However, the legato's could be a bit smoother and more natural sounding and the dynamic layers are a bit clunky to move between. I would love a slightly smoother transition in the tone from soft to loud as you get a bit of a 'jump' when you hit the border of dynamic layers. Having said that these are small gripes that one can easily work around. This is a fantastic workhorse library and a very versatile one at that!

Amazing sound in this library. It has everything I was looking for and it even surprised me with some not very popular brass instruments that I'll definitely start using in my future projects. Totally recommended.
I'm blown away with this library. So far... everything is so realistic - it's changing my workflow. I feel that adding a flugelhorn to the collection would be an excellent addition, but hey I'll work with what I have ;) Spitfire continues to impress!
