My tablet died and I wanted my replacement that was an upgrade. I decided to go with the surface pro after speaking with a few people who had them. It does what I need it to do though I didn't realize it doesn't use android apps (like I can't read using my kindle app). I found a work around for it. Other than that, I really like my purchase.

I haven't had the device long enough to form a solid opinion on it, but so far so good. I settled on this older model surface because so many people have had good experiences with it, bugs have been fixed, there's an abundance of consumer information available for it, and I could buy it at a much lower price than a newer model. If I have issues with the device down the road, I will edit this review to share my experience.
