Good quality water based paint with a finish as hardy as oil or spirit based. On opening the can the paint appeared to be brown. The instructions emphasised that thorough stirring is essential. I had to stir it hard for at least ten minutes before the brown gave way to the red but it was worth it. I was covering the interior brickwork of my porch and, after an hour and a half, it needed no further stirring.
