Huge thank you to Yvonne for very kindly resolving my problem with my engagement ring which was faulty. Yvonne arranged a replacement which I am pleased to say is exactly how it should be! Also had a lovely chat with a manager who had been called in from the Salisbury branch.
We bought our wedding rings from Earnest Jones 18 months ago.
Mine was white gold band with diamonds, 18 months later, it’s completely discoloured and one stone has fallen out.
I took the ring to our local Jewellers who restored my engagement ring (much older) and ask them to assess the ring, the told me that there was no damage to the claws surrounding the missing stones and I should take it back to my point of sale being Earnest Jones for a replacement because it should still be under the manufacturer guarantee.
I mistakenly thought this would be a nice easy process but what an absolute nightmare it has been. The experience in the shop was awful, 2 customers actually walked after over hearing the lady behind the counters attitude and I’m on week 3 of back and forth emails as Earnest Jones wanting a £150.00 to replace the stone, after complaining that it should be covered by the manufacturers guarantee this was put down to £110.00. Not sure where they are pulling their prices from.
They’ve put the discolouration down to ‘wear and tear’ even though my engagement ring is also white gold and has no discolouration.
The emails received are so hostile and with no care at all, laughable to be honest.
I wish we had just gone to our local jewellers instead like we did for my engagement ring.
Do not waste your money, read and listen to the reviews.
I’ve found hundreds of online threads of people have all experienced the same thing and have been quoted to £150.00 and then reduced to £110.00 .

Arrived into the Fareham branch today (24.04.2022) to be greeted by a lady who was most helpful. (I did not catch her name but she was covering from Southampton) to purchase my wedding band. She was very patient and let me try on several samples of their bands for me to confirm the one i wished to purchase. On asking my ring size (sought from a different branch of Ernest Jones) it was apparent that I was indeed 2 sizes smaller.
She advised the difference between 9ct and 18ct (her manager just reiterating this) for me to settle and purchase the 18ct Rose Gold band. I was asked if I wished for this to be sent to my house or the store and we settled on the store to allow me to go and collect when this is delivered. She also advised me that I would get text messages updating me with the ring and when it will arrive.
I now have more confidence in Ernest Jones just by taken that extra time to drive 10 minutes up the motorway it may have been a smaller store but far friendlier and put my mind to ease knowing I had made the correct decision.
Ordered online, picked up in-store. I would not be here if Ernest Jones would not have the audacity to tell me that my review did not meet the guidelines. So here is the review again. Ordered on a Wednesday online, picked up from the store. Got there the ladies told me that there is something wrong with the system and the drawer can't be open, yet seconds later was open. Moments later I picked up everything in a box everything and left. 3 hours later I was back in the shop as one of the pieces from the bracelet was damaged, they told me that there will be a replacement on Saturday and that they will give me a call to go in the store to pick up another one. This is a titanium bracelet, to damage this material you need quite a bit of force. No news till today, Monday, when I went there and the shop was closed like 3 hours earlier. I've started to talk online with their customer support and I've been told that they are trying to get a hold of the store, eventually, I got disconnected and nobody called me back as they had my email, with that you can see the purchase history. An email back or phone call would have been nice. Now I receive the email to give them feedback I did, on their own website but then I got the email back that what I wrote above doesn't meet the guidelines. Well tough luck, I'll try to sort it in another shop, if that doesn't work, Long Live PayPal Customer protection. Will I every buy from them again ? . . .

Totally untrustworthy company. Claimed to have sent a watch to Tag for a new battery and then fixed it themselves. Fortunately, for us, the back of the watch fell off and their deception was exposed. Would never use again or recommend.

There was a problem with my purchase but they were quickly able to get a replacement and informed when when it arrived two days later. Big thankyou to the Fareham branch.
In store the assitant was very helpful, she said that my ring could be sent straight to my house , which it was, turning up in a week or two. I am very pleased with the ring .
Very helpful advisor, quick delivery of item purchased as small size was not in stock.
Great service - I had seen a ring that I really like but was out of stock everywhere in my size ! I went into the store in fareham on the off chance and the sales assistant was kind enough to order it in for my and I had it delivered to my home a few days later free of charge! Really pleased
Very helpful staff who listened to what we wanted in terms of our wedding rings. Helped us with decisions & gave her honest opinion.
The Staff member who served us was very pleasant and knowledgeable and we were pleased with the rings we purchased
