I really only bought this so that I can have an option at night or really cloudy days. I like that you can cook using 12volt/cigarette lighter instead of requiring a high wattage like most cooking surfaces, such as a hot-plate, or other heating appliance. I’m actually reviewing my second unit, since the first one I ordered seemed to create a burning/chemical/ozone smell the first time I used it, and the smell never left, which made my food smell. So GoSun quickly sent me a new unit, and this one didn’t have the same problem. Cooked some “pancakes” in the new unit and it worked like a charm. I love that it comes with the silicone tray/cups since the stainless steel can get pretty hard to keep clean over time, with my experience in years past with their larger units.
