Heres a little explanation regarding the filters.
Filters are an extreemly important item for ANY boiling water tap. It is there to protect the system from scale build up and should not be underestimated.
We feel our filters are competitvely priced and are even cheaper if you buy them on subscription given the advanced properties and protection they provide. As for similar filters, there arn't many because of the way that ours work. Ours arn't just a regular Calcium Carbon filter like most on the market, so it is dificult to compare just with the price. Our filters use a more advanced way to filter using ION technology to reduce the harmful scale that all boiling water taps suffer from. Also, our filters keep the Calcium and Magnesium in the water so you still get the health benefits from those but still help stop the formation of the Calcium Carbonate. It's also a dual filter so helps with taste and odour to increase your drinking quality.
I hope this helps describes our filter a little as a lot of work has gone INTU it (pardon the pun!) and at £37 on subscription every 6 months we believe gives excellent value for the quality product you are getting.
