Missing Parts and Poor Communication
First time ordering from its.co.uk, and it will be my last.
I ordered a Milwaukee power head, only to find that it was missing all the mounting hardware for the handle and strap. I contacted support, and they said they were aware of the issue and would send out the parts to be with me by the end of the week.
I then contacted live chat later that day to double-check that the specific parts listed in the manual were being sent out, only to be told that I would have to wait until the middle of September because the parts were on back order. No one had bothered to contact me to let me know this.
Why was the item even sent out when you were aware of this issue? It was obvious the box had previously been opened to check whether the parts were there or not, as the tool was covered in dusty fingerprints.
Now i have to deal with trying to get a refund and buy the item elsewhere.

I placed an order for a Milwaukee cordless lawn mower; it arrived next day, along with a free Milwaukee wheeled tool bag and a 3 piece Milwaukee spirit level set. A Milwaukee deal also supplies two extra free 8ah batteries. Excellent service from ITS. Unfortunately the package appeared damaged in transit, and a front wheel was bent outwards causing the mower to go in circles when pushed.
ITS were informed immediately and photographs sent of damaged carton and mower.
ITS have arranged for a new mower to be delivered tomorrow - what fantastic after sales service from ITS, well done and thank you.
Mower carton clearly states two person handling, but only one guy carried the huge box to my door; clearly the couriers need to up their game. I can’t fault ITS, they’ve been brilliant.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with ITS and having now seen how my complaint was handled, I would NOT recommend this company.
In good faith, I purchased a Bosch GHE 18V-50 TP kit from ITS for £389.99 including VAT, plus £4.19 for garden sacks. I later discovered that the same Bosch product was available from other retailers, including Bosch itself, at a substantially lower price.
My complaint was not simply about paying a little more. The difference was more than £75 compared with the price at B&Q and alarmingly higher than the manufacturer's price! What a joke!! I wanted a reasonable explanation for why ITS was charging such a significant premium. Unfortunately, instead of properly addressing my concern, I had to send several emails before receiving a straightforward response.
What disappointed me even more was the tone of the customer service response. Receiving a smiley-face emoji 🙂 in what was supposed to be an official response to a serious pricing complaint felt needlessly casual and unprofessional.
I am perfectly happy for a retailer to make a reasonable profit, but customers should also feel they are being treated fairly and transparently.
After this experience, I feel that ITS put profit ahead of customer value and then failed to address my concerns when I questioned the price. I will also write to Bosch to ask why ITS charged me more than their price.
I will certainly think twice before purchasing from ITS again, and I would strongly advise other customers to shop around and compare prices carefully before placing an order with so-called ITS. This will be the first and last order I place with a shop called ITS.
Very disappointing experience, both in pricing and customer service.
I had to edit this into my complaint, as I can't add to their comment! Here comes the response from the ITS higher-up!
Apparently, the significant price difference between the ITS and B&Q kits is because ITS supplied a 5.5Ah ProCORE battery instead of B&Q’s 5Ah standard battery.
So, according to ITS, that 0.5Ah difference somehow accounts for around £75 extra! What a joke!!!

We always aim to offer competitive prices after reviewing the b&q kit and our kit on ITS they are slightly different, our kit comes with a 5.5ah Pro core battery which is a higher spec than the b&q 5ah bosch standard battery which is where the variation of price comes in to this.
