This is a beautiful example of product design and engineering. A solid unit that follows the minimalist design aesthetic. Of course appearance is one element of the unit. The quality of build is just as impressive. The controls are simple and straightforward to use. The knobs have a solid feel and are frictionless when used. The porthole is central to the design layout which is symmetrical and very pleasing to the eye. The clear graphic LED layout array of the porthole are sharp and look classy. The sound quality is exception. I previously owned a Marantz SA-10 and was not prepared for the significant improvements overall. The deep resonant bass, the clarity of mid range and the high treble notes combine to create an improved 3 dimensional holographic soundstage. It's difficult to express in words- you really have to hear it to believe it. I procrastinated for over a yeas before buying the Model 10 SACD Player. It is one of the most satisfying upgrades to my system in over 40 years into my quest to build my "perfect" 2 channel system. Absolutely no buyers remorse but great satisfaction with my purchase. I also upgraded my PM-10 Amp to the Model 10, A terrific pairing.
