Its awsome
I had the chance to meet amazing and unique people from all over the world. The program offered a perfect blend of travel, new experiences, and volunteering, which allowed me to experience Nepal in a completely different way. I was able to explore new places, try new things, and create memories that I will never forget.

Nepal was a very deep and beautiful experience. I immersed myself in Nepali Culture and really learned to love the country and the people. Living at the monastery was a completely deep experience which formed me in so many ways. The first few days at Asims house were great - his whole family is really welcoming, I could have not felt more at home. Yuba, the local coordinator was so fun to be around. We loved him - he is really funny and we had the best time with him during our trek to poonhill. Overall I don’t even know where to start and stop. I experienced so much and I hope you will experience it too! Thank you to the Pmgy Team, what a great program.
Was a life changing experience
Volunteering in Nepal was an exceptional experience. The country is nothing like I expected, the people are extremely friendly, helpful and always ready to help you whenever you need help. It is a truly beautiful and safe country, and the program I chose was truly amazing. I was always taken care of and could use my time the best way ever. I truly had an amazing time there and would recommend volunteering in Nepal to anyone who feels overwhelmed by the noise of the world or just needs to find themselves.
Amazing experience, highly highly recommend
I spent almost a month in Nepal with PMGY and it was an unforgettable experience. The first days I stayed with Asim and his family in Kathmandu. They showed me the city, helped with everything, and made me feel at home. Then I moved to Neydo Monastery, located about 30 minutes from Kathmandu in beautiful nature. The monastery had everything I needed. I taught three classes a day. The children were amazing, and the older monks were incredibly kind. We went trekking together, talked, and played football. Overall, PMGY provided good support and a meaningful experience from start to finish. I can truly recommend this program.
A beautiful memory about my volunteering in Nepal!
I came to help other people, but I was given so much to take home with me. Because I am already 58 doesn’t make me too old for this adventure. Being a volunteer means you are willing to put up with a few uncomfortable circumstances. But for me being a volunteer was always just right. No force, no unneccessary burocracy, flexible and still always reliable - that‘s how I experienced the volunteerworld and PMGY people, online and face to face .

An incredible experience with magnificent landscapes!!
Had such and fun experience trekking, white water rafting, bungee jumping, safari and more! We were the June group and it was such a good time to go, we saw the mountains so clearly on our trek it was amazing!!! Thankyou Yuba for being our guide for the 2 weeks. Living in the monastery for the last 2 weeks was such as incredible experience. Loved teaching the monks and they were so lovely too!
IT WAS AMAZING! At first I did the Sri Lanka experience trip in May, the first 2 weeks of traveling around the country were amazing and Ishan and Jack (the coordinators) did an amazing job and were such lovely people. After these 2 weeks, we started the volunteering, I did the turtle conservation and had an amazing time. Even at the volunteerhouse itself, they arranged lots of activities from quiz nights to a football match! After Sri Lanka I did the Nepal experience trip wich again was amazing. Yuba was the coordinator and did a really good job! Everything was planned out and we didn't have to worry about anything. I had the best 2 months of my life here and I would 100% recommend Plan My Gap Year! I'm looking forward to doing more trips with PMGY next year!
