Safestore - Altrincham Reviews 

Ideal place for temporary storage - cool, dry and very clean, both units and corridors; has excellent security with convenient access to ground floor units, and good parking. Very friendly and helpful staff to explain the storage options and prices. Thank you Claire and Naeem.

Friendly and helpful staff when I used this store for DHL returns. It was a simple process and I feel more confident leaving my expensive return to be processed by Gary, than other parcel centres I have dealt with previously. I will be using this centre again for peace of mind.

I highly recommend Safestore Altrincham. The facility is clean and secure, and the customer service is top-notch. They made the whole moving and storing process completely stress-free!

Not sure what has happened to customer service. Had an issue with a locked storage unit. It was my fault I was originally a couple of days late making my final payment but made the payment then next day hired a van for the weekend to collect and empty my unit. When I arrived one gentleman was very helpful but the lady that worked there kept overriding him telling me it would take three days to show the payment so wouldn’t open the locker. Even though I explained that I had hired a van an the next time I could collect my belongings was the next weekend would have to rehire a van and would take me one day over my contract. The gentleman made phone calls (after I provided proof of payment) and obtained consent from higher officers to open my unit. She ignored his and my request for access telling me I would have to pay for another months rental as I would be a day over the agreed timeframe of ending the contract. How can a payment in this day and age take three days to show through a company when all payments show instantly on banking apps ?

I hate to write a negative review and I have shared my feedback on the phone with the customer service team. But, the experience i have had has been really POOR! I have been a customer at Safestore for 4 years, I enquired about downsizing, as costs seemed to keep rising. In the end, a competitor was able to offer me a lower price for a bigger unit than what Safestore could offer. Safestore could not have been less interested in the fact i was leaving, I was provided no comms on the move out process, I have had to ring to chase when I will get my deposit refunded. They offer new customers 8 weeks 50%, but won't offer anything to long standing customers to encourage them to stay. My experience was at the Altrincham branch where there is Kangaroo storage and soon to be Shurguard on your doorstep. Really poor business and I won't be recommending you.

I felt my property was in a secure place.
I would definitely use this facility and service again.
