While the Airflow iCON 30 is undeniably a powerful extractor fan, marketing it as a "100mm" fan is incredibly misleading for anyone looking to do a simple like-for-like replacement. Here is what you need to know before buying: The 100mm only applies to the ducting: The spigot at the back connects to a standard 4-inch (100mm) flexible pipe without an issue. The actual motor housing is massive: Because it is a high-power fan, the internal body that houses the motor is much bulkier and wider than a standard flat-backed axial fan. The Joist Problem: If your existing 100mm ceiling hole was cut flush next to a wooden joist (which is very common in UK homes), this fan physically will not fit. You need significant extra internal clearance around the hole to accommodate the oversized body. It is a premium, heavy-duty fan, but the manufacturer needs to be much more transparent that this is not a universal 100mm swap. If your current fan sits right next to a joist, save yourself the wasted time and return postage fees, and look for a standard profile fan instead.

Product seems to good and a spec that I was looking for
Bought one to replace my old one that stopped working after 20 years :)
Different to the old style and these motors have soft start much quieter in operation and just as powerful
Compared to the standard 4" fans you get, this unit moves a lot of air. It's got a large fan that needs a bigger hole to accommodate. If you can't cut a hole that size, you can surface mount it. I opted for the humidity sensor as we were not too bothered about it overrunning for a while. The other thing is did was use 110mm sewer pipe with converters to flexible aluminium at the ends.
Over engineered and can’t clean !
stylish and quiet in use
Well designed fan with excellent performance.
Good quality and good price
Good product - efficient and quiet.
My husband followed instructions to be able to fit it himself
I've had one of these in my bathroom ceiling for over 10 years. It's efficient and the iris closure keeps external draughts and noise to a minimum. Good extraction rate. Ordered as a replacement for the original.
Installed a number of these fans customers really seem to like them
I've had 3 different types of extractor fitted in the last year and wish I'd picked this one first rather than last because then I'd have at least two of them by now. None of these extractors are exactly quiet (although the difference between them is marginal) but this one is more powerful than most 100mm fans and is worth it. The design also helps to reduce the draught that fans allow when turned off.
Excellet quality in a well designed product.
Very quiet bathroom extractor
Seals off to the outside which was my main reason for purchase. Skirt is a little obtrusive so I will have to look at making the hole in the wall bigger to take the fan body. Seems to work a hell of a lot better than previous fan.
A quiet fan that keeps the draft out. Looks good too.
This was a like for like replacement.i got a previous one from eBay and boy was it noisy. I Thought it was the fan but it was broken. I replaced it and thought it wasn't working but it was just so quiet from the other. It's fitted in a small ensuite that suffers from damp walls, this has done the trick. I fitted it without the sleeve so it's flush to the ceiling.
It's a beast
