AC readings are accurate to ±1.2% whilst DC readings have an accuracy of ±2%. The clamp is also capable of measuring AC/DC voltage up to 600V and resistance up to 1000Ω in addition to performing continuity testing. The jaw of the Martindale CM79 can clamp onto conductors up to 25mm in diameter and is operated by the simple trigger mechanism. The user can select the function using the ergonomic dial and results are shown on the meter’s backlit digital display. Data hold allows the user to freeze a reading on screen and there is a min/max recording function to show the true range of measurements.
