We loved this camp, being the most remote we stayed in, the facilities were outstanding. WiFi was the best of the trip and we had amazing animal encounters on the Serengeti - and also just outside camp! The staff were so warm and welcoming with excellent knowledge. I can’t wait to visit this camp at its other location near the masi Mara. Exceptional camp with real authenticity
The Ndutu camp was a great experience. All of the staff was extremely kind and thoughtful. Our safari guide Steven was awesome, and helped us see so many different animals we wanted to find. It was a very comfortable place to stay.
Staying at this camp was one of the best decisions we have ever made. The Accommodation, service and food was first class bearing in mind you are in the wild. All the staff at the camp are so happy and welcoming. They made a cake for my husbands 70th Birthday and treated us to an African birthday celebration song and dance….memories like this don’t come often and will stay with us forever. Our guide Barnabas was amazing. he really went the xtra mile (literally) to track down the animals. Thank you to all he lovely staff at Lemala Ndutu.
We spent four nights at Lemala and loved it! Our tent was very comfortable and clean and we didn't see a bug the whole time we were there! The food was fantastic and the staff was so kind, we enjoyed getting to know them throughout our stay! The location can't be beat for animal sighting at this time of the year, we even had some visitors to the camp sight during the night! We would absolutely stay at any Lemala property again!
To fall asleep listening to the leopard and the hyena was an experience I won't forget. I know I would have gotten this at any other camp but the staff at Lemala Ndutu, including our guide, made this a most memorable part of the trip. The meals were excellent. The nightly fire a joy (when it wasn't raining). I miss the hibiscus iced tea and warm towels to wipe the dust off us. I even liked the bucket shower!! I did not want to leave.
AMAZING! The best experience from the moment we arrived. The staff, lodging, and game drives were all curated with detail. The food (I am vegetarian) was so much better than I had expected. It was a local mix of cuisine and familiar flavors. The tent was clean and also to my surprise contained very few bugs considering where we were. The staff took care of us all day long and truly made our experience memorable. This area of the Serengeti allowed us the opportunity for viewing many animals and our guide was very knowledgeable to the area and the animals we were looking for.

Outstanding! Perfectly located, beautiful rooms with attention to every detail - just imagine lying in bed looking out on the Serengeti. Don't believe it? Then just try it - wonderful! The food was amazing, given that it is in the Serengeti and the team even made a birthday cake for my 'other half' - their singing and dancing was 'out of this world'! It is a small camp that had a wonderful ambience. This camp was perfectly located to see everything - and I mean everything. Our guide was fantastic and the only animal we didn't see was the elusive leopard but we saw everything else; from elephant calves playing in the mud, cheetah chasing and bringing down a wildebeest, lion cubs, a wildebeest birth, lions in trees, lovebirds feeding their chicks, baby hippos, rhino, giraffe - loads, zebra - thousands!! etc etc etc. We'd recommend also taking time to enjoy the peace as well as the excitement of the chase. Wonderful - we're still sorting out all the photos & video. A holiday of a lifetime. Thank you to the team at Lemala Ndutu.
We had a wonderful time in this camp as it was located right in the midst of the great migration. Our guide was fantastic and knew the area well.
Our family of three, two adults and our seven year old daughter, recently stayed at Lemala Ndutu for four nights in Tent 6. This trip was my first time "camping" so I was pleasantly surprised at the size and styling of our tent. The bedding was nice and the tent generally clean and well kept. The restroom area had a horrid sewage smell, however, and was amplified whenever we took our, very brief, talking showers. (-0.50 stars) The smell was to the point that we repeatedly woke in the middle of the night to it and had to get up and spray air freshener. And, while those talking showers had their charm, after a week of these (we spent several nights at another camp as well), we were ready to really enjoy a more lengthy shower and feel clean. A few nights this way was charming though and, while a bit nerve wracking for me, it was very adventurous to hear the nearby lions roaring at night and the staff was very kind and welcoming. The food was excellent at all meals and we absolutely loved our guide that we hired through the camp. He was very kind and excellent at spotting everything on our list! The camp did a great job making our daughter feel welcome as well. The adorable backpack that they provided with workbook will be something that we keep and reference for years to come. The only time they deviated from their great, kid friendly service, was on one afternoon. Our daughter and two other children were sitting in the common area lounging tent, quietly watching a movie on her iPad. A group of six or more new folks arrived and the Camp manager told the kids to move so that the new folks could sit where the children were. These kids were guests like anyone else and they were being very well behaved. Having them move so that new guests could sit down was rude and disparaging to them. A better approach would have been to ask their parents (we were all seated nearby) if they wouldn't mind asking the children to relocate for a brief period or to somehow incentivize the children to move by offering them a special drink or treat if they'd move briefly so that the new group could be accommodated. Ideally, the camp would have enough space for everyone in the common area so no one would need to move in the first place. (-1 star) We were at the camp over Valentine's Day and, to celebrate, my husband paid extra for a special bush dinner. Unbeknownst to him, the camp was already planning a special dinner for everyone and, as he noticed them setting up a huge table outside for this, asked them about our dinner (had the communication been better, we would've been informed of our dinner arrangements that morning at breakfast). They then set out setting up a small table a few yards from the larger table. Before they could finish, he asked that they stop as it would've been awkward to sit apart from our new friends at the camp, particularly in such an obvious way. He'd assumed, when paying extra, that we'd be in an area by ourselves. In any case, the communal dinner was fun and we absolutely loved it and likely had more fun with the full group! I only mention this as you may want to skip paying extra for a special dinner on a holiday, as they may be already planning something! The camp should've been better at communicating what we should expect, however, as we would not have paid extra had we known. (-0.5 stars) Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Lemala Ndutu! We met other guests that we're excited to keep in touch with, enjoyed delicious food and wine every night and saw wildebeests, many birds, lions, cheetahs, zebra, giraffes and countless other animals with a fantastic guide!
