From $7 to $199: A Customer Service Journey

Wanted to give others a heads up about my experience. Their marketing shows a simple $7 offer, but I discovered additional $199 charges later on. I sent a polite email asking for a refund and explanation, though their customer service team seems to be quite busy, as I'm still waiting for a reply.

Scammers.

Scammers.

Bought a $7 product from an ad that made it look like a one-off purchase, ended up getting charged $199 weeks later.

Absolutely horrific website UX as well, its hard to know where to go. Martin Bell is a scammer.

I tried it out with little expectations - have had a pretty good set of dashboards and so on. But then the innitial phase proved sistemic and coherent. There were things that I had forgotten to include. So I bought the 100 ones. Hopefully it will help me reach my goals. I am more confident not forgetting essentials now.

Cannot cancel expensive, intransparent subscription

The offer looked interesting and I signed up for a list for 7$. This turned, without intension from my side, into a 199$ monthly subscription that I have not been able to cancel. No phone nr, no response on email, their billing platform does not allow me to login and cancel online. Also the payment method is hidden.
Not sure about the product as I am not interested in using but I assume if it was good, they would have more transparency and customer service.

I paid ~$7 for a one time receipt of a…

I paid ~$7 for a one time receipt of a PDF of 100 tasks and they ended up charging me a month later for $200 without my permission. I never signed up for a subscription. Scammy company, would not recommend. BTW the 100 tasks are not going to change your life / startup. Having to dispute the charge now with my credit card as they're not responding to email. I haven't opened their site for over 3 weeks.

$7 promotion deceptive

I'm quite shocked. The social media ads running for a $7 promotion made it seem like you were paying once off for a certain resource. They definitely did not clearly indicate a recurring $200 charge. Something I definitely would have not signed up - I'm from a developing country, so it's something that would have immediately been clearly too expensive. Also, the website was quite counterintuitive so I ended up giving up trying to work out how it all worked.

I bought a $7 checklist only to later…

I bought a $7 checklist only to later discover a $200 charge on my card without having signed up for this recurring monthly subscription. I am really disappointed as i was quite impressed by what i saw on instagram by the product.

There is no clear direction on how to unsubscribe from the charges either. I hope i am fairly refunded urgently.

Deceitful pricing for potentially good stuff

I bough the 100tasks list at a significant discount (under $10), which seemed like a great deal at the time. However, I was disappointed to later discover that I was being enrolled in a recurring subscription, something I never explicitly opted into.

Despite contacting them to stop these attempts to charge me (I do not want the service, they’ve been blocked, and it’s clear I’m not a customer), they continue to try billing me. This not only feels like an aggressive and misleading business practice, but also a waste of time and resources for both sides.

While the idea behind 100tasks has potential, the lack of transparency around pricing, and the persistent, unwanted billing attempts undermine any trust in the product.

For these reasons, I can’t recommend it

Disappointed by Misleading Pricing Despite Promising Content

I find the pricing structure of 100tasks to be extremely non-transparent and, frankly, off-putting. After purchasing the “Founder Package” for over $90 — which appeared to promise full access — I was immediately confronted with further locked content and upsell prompts. It’s unclear what exactly is included and what isn’t, leaving users with a sense of being strategically funneled into paying more without clear communication.

What’s even more concerning is the barely visible auto-renewing subscription for €199/month — something that feels deceptive at best. It gives the impression that the focus here is less on offering a truly helpful product and more on maximizing profit through confusing and layered paywalls.

This is frustrating, especially because I actually believe in the concept and structure behind 100tasks. The content and methodology seem strong and potentially valuable — which makes the experience even more disappointing. Transparency and trust are key, especially for a product aimed at early-stage founders. Without those, even the best tools lose their credibility.

I was skeptical at first, especially with all the noise online about the marketing and funnel etc etc. But after two weeks of digging into the material, I’ve actually learned a lot. A few modules felt underdeveloped, but the overall content is amazing.
