I bought a battery from 1-800-Battery…

I bought a battery from 1-800-Battery with an 18 month warranty. The battery died in less than a year. They told me they couldn’t replace it because I had moved to an area that they didn’t service. I asked for a refund of one-third of the cost of the battery (because the battery lasted for two-thirds of the warranty period). Was told several times someone would be getting back to me on it, but no one ever did. Very disappointing. Update - someone from 1-800-battery did get back to me and told me they wouldn't refund any part of the purchase price. They said the warranty is no longer honored since the car was no longer in Florida where I bought the battery, they said if I brought the car back to Florida they might honor the warranty. I told them the car won't run with a dead battery. They said I could have it towed. Thought about contacting the BBB to file a complaint, but then noticed 1-800-Battery is not a member of the BBB, which doesn't surprise me at all.

I will never use this company again

I will never use this company again. Mobile tech checked battery and determined that it was not the battery so I didn't purchase a battery. My car still wouldn't start and check engine and other dashboard cautions displayed. Had car towed and dealer said that all diagnostics showed all was fine but after they replaced the battery, the car ran fine and all dashboards cautions deleted! I wrote email and asked for my trip charge to be reimbursed ($100) and 1-800-battery said no and showed me a picture of my battery functioning at 12% which is their standard level of good which is a ridiculous notion! NW of Gilbert, AZ

Needed a battery quick

I checked all local auto parts places and none delivered along with the installation I needed. I selected Carbattery.com on a fluke and thought I would try it. At first it was too easy so I thought it could be a scam; I looked up the reviews and decided to try it at 7:30 AM-Long story short the battery was replaced and I was on my way by noon. Great service at a fair price.

Takes 6 hours and battery was swapped for no reason

First of all communicating a proper time would be nice. I work in a field where things can be late but I don’t tell customers 3 different times and keep pushing it back because they don’t end up happy. Secondly why would someone be sent to fix my battery when they can’t even figure out if the issue is my battery? It was a blown fuse and I was told my battery was having issues… yea the new battery had the same issue but I wasn’t told that. Wasted 6 hours and 300 then had to spend more to actually fix it. My tow truck driver could even tell me the battery wasn’t the issue but you tech said otherwise.

Tech team did arrive in about 2 hrs

Tech team turned up as scheduled with a battery different than the one pictured and ordered expecting I accept on faith that the delivered battery was better. I did not argue the issue and accepted alternate battery.
Tech team worked very diligently to tighten a faulty battery terminal connector, but ultimately failed. I have no knowledge as to how the clamp was damaged in the first
place.

Service was great

Service was great. The person I talked to on the phone to reschedule from Thursday to Friday was very helpful and fulfilled my request.

Mazzikin Harper was excellent. She arrived removed and replaced the battery in under 15 minutes. She was great.

Disappointed with the service despite a convenient concept

I really appreciated the convenience that 1-800-CAR-BATTERY offers—having a car battery delivered and installed at your home, workplace, or wherever you are is a great idea that can save time and money. However, my recent experience left a lot to be desired.

The technician arrived nearly five hours later than the scheduled time, which caused significant disruption to our day. Even more concerning was that the tech who arrived was clearly unwell. He disclosed that he has diabetes, was visibly sweating profusely, and mentioned that he normally doesn’t work summer hours. Out of genuine concern for his health, we had to ask him to stop mid-installation so he wouldn’t faint.

While the batteries were eventually installed correctly and everything is working fine now, the long delay and the condition of the technician were both unacceptable. I hope this company does a better job of supporting their workers and being more accurate with their scheduling in the future.

Great experience buying a car battery

Their website was easy to use and it was super fast to get the new battery and have it installed. The technician arrived per the commitment received at the time of purchase and it was even possible to track her whereabouts from the link in the text message sent to me. That made it possible for me to do other things without waiting by the front door for a person to show up.

Safe, easy, and fast!

So easy and fast to schedule online under a safe and secure website. I was skeptical because you have to pay in advance, but the reviews were pretty good, so I went for it. And completely agree with other customers, the service is unique, they text you every step of the process. The technician assigned to my order in Port Charlotte, FL, was Jeff Walker. He was outstanding, first check the older battery, and the conditions of it around, and let us know why it’s dead, and if the circumstances were different he will advise on a different solution. Then he took the old battery out and cleaned around. He installed the new one and tried it out, turned it off and let us drive to test the battery. Cleaned everything again and even asked us to test the car again. Everything went smooth and easy. Very fast too.

Wonderful experience

It all started when I entered my license plate on the website. They found the perfect battery for my car. I didn’t have to guess, and wonder if it was gonna fit. They came out to my work, which was super convenient and installed the battery. The technician was great. So grateful for this company.

Possible scam

I called and had a slot from 3pm - 5pm, they said they were on their way, they never showed up and I couldn't get in contact with them - their website said they were closed. AND they still charged me the full amount for doing absolutely nothing. Trying to get a refund now - let's see if this is a scam or not.
