Messaged me on Facebook regarding a car sale and was pushing me to buy a 1check report for £26 because "only the registered owner can request this". Anybody can request a car check, don't fall for this scam. Claimed would then reimburse me when picking the car up. Username: Leo S Kennedy

Had contact on Gumtree from number +44 7735 527514 someone called Olive their message said… Okay I'm planning to purchase it but before I make plans to come to you will you kindly show me an online history inspection report so I can make sure everything is in order? The website where you may obtain the report is 1check.co.uk this will work for me.
I blocked them luckily before falling for the Scam

Absolute scammers, offered the full price, cash or transfer before even seeing my car, then insisted I pay for the 1check, luckily I looked at the reviews, these need to be reported to Tradings Standards 😡

As everyone else contacted on auto trader and buyer wouldn’t continue without a 1 check search. Immediate red flags so said no and blocked. Found this later and feel vindicated! His name was Oliver Leo (although what’s app handle said Emma) and number ‪+44 7411 206669‬

Definitely a scam don't use i knew something was off so didn't click the link when was trying sell my bike

Tried to scam me by acting like they were interested in my buying my vehicle. Please report these to 7722 or nation cyber security Centre . gov
Please do not try and pay for a history inspection for anyone who is acting like they are interested they can do vehicle inspections on their own.

Scam, contact me over auto trader and asked me to do a bike check report. On the website chat they recommend they had said “it will cost £35 quids” kinda speaks for itself….

Emailed me of an Ashley Davis email and then there name was changed on the sign off to Jose Barbara.

Then they sent me a message on watsapp and it was a business account “carry”.

Block and avoid if contacted.

“George bett” from autotrader I searched here before I clicked the link, he then tried to compare the company reviews to that of a USA company and then blanked me when I said I wasn’t in the USA so why would I care about their reviews. Scammers and time wasters

07888874391 messaged me about my advert for sale. He is very good I must say. Took him almost one day to try to get me on the website for the check. As soon I saw what he was asking it was game over but....this guy is good I must admit 😂😂

This website and many more are used by scammers to profit from sellers. This specific one was used by “Roy Ried” from 07478328583 (email is riedroy99 @ gmail)

Standard, popular car checks aren’t enough and they ask you to go to these sites to pay £20-£30 and they keep the money and will not contact you again.

Must be struggling for Christmas funds, bless them.

Just a reminder it’s ALWAYS the buyer’s responsibility to run their own checks, never the seller.

This site is being used by scammers to get vehicle sellers to pay for a report that isn't needed. I was selling a vehicle on Autotrader. Scammer Leo Edward contacted me on+447366261181 registered on WhatsApp as a business. The scammer agreed to the sale, at the asking price 🚩 then insist you get a report from this website otherwise they won't buy. The website must be involved in the scam as the money doesn't go to the potential "buyers". Leo got unpleasant when I mentioned that it might be a scam.
