My last review was on Jan 3rd
My last review was on Jan 3rd. I am still no closer to setting 1Password up. Their chatbot keeps on instructing me to tap settings that don't exist on my iPhone 14. Their support team takes days to answer any question and then doesn't solve the problem. I sighned on for this two months ago and am still struggling to set it up. 1Password described the process as simple to set up and this is totally inaccurate and deceptive. Also having my passwords so exposed whilst trying to transfer them is extremely hazardous. I would give them 0 stars if I had the opportunity
Support is poor, product is solid 3/5
I’ve been a long-term 1Password customer, but over the years the experience has been getting worse, especially when it comes to support and pricing logic.
Support is extremely slow. Replies can take 5–6 days, sometimes longer. On top of that, support often does not read messages carefully and keeps asking for more and more information instead of actually answering the questions. Very often it feels like I am assisting support rather than support assisting me.
There are long-standing usability issues that have been raised multiple times over the years and still remain unresolved. For example, searching in the Archive is poorly implemented. The UI constantly switches between archived and non-archived items, and there is no clear, fixed way to search only within the archive. This affects both the desktop apps and the web interface and has been an issue for years.
The company’s approach to monetization also feels excessively aggressive. If a payment card expires or fails even briefly, Family accounts get immediately disconnected from Teams or Business plans, and reconnecting them is unnecessarily painful. It requires a long email back-and-forth with support, which, again, responds very slowly.
The Guest Account model is another example of poor common sense. You can have two fully paid, separate 1Password accounts, but if you want to invite one as a Guest to the other, you are still charged additionally — despite both accounts already being paid subscriptions. This feels unreasonable and greedy rather than customer-friendly.
Overall, 1Password is still a solid product technically, but support quality, slow responses, unresolved long-term issues, and overly aggressive charging policies significantly degrade the experience. The company really needs more common sense in how it treats loyal, long-term customers — not just a focus on charging for everything possible.

Excellent security, slightly pricey
Excellent service for keeping your passwords safe.
The security is top-notch, and the auto-fill works better than with most competitors.
It is reliable, intuitive, and does exactly what it promises.
The only downside is the price, which is a bit high, but overall you really can’t go wrong with it.
Program ok, sales horrid
The program itself is fine, though their sales tactics are unethical. I was contacted in multiple places, including work and personal accounts, by 1Password sales folk claiming that they had spoken to my C-Level managers about adopting 1Password. The CTO confirmed that this was a lie.
Best password manager out there
Best password manager out there. Support is amazing. Product is amazing as well.
Buggy and unpredictable
I had LastPass for over 10 years and it was fine. I switched to 1 Pasword believing the online advertising as to how simple it was. After about a year using it, I am totally frustrated since it asks for my master password every 5 minutes, and when it fills a website in, I'm told it's an incorrect password. I'm ditching this program
Not a great password manager
Tutorials are outdated, impossible to speak to someone via chat, only with AI, secret key does not work so you can't log in to other devices. Very poor experience with this product.
I've used free password managers that work better.
A long-term loyal client
A long-term loyal client, now churned and leaving for the competition after receiving a 30% price hike on the subscription, just because I briefly canceled for one minute to maintain control over the current billing cycle. Support was completely unhelpful in resolving the issue.

Very good product, very bad support
Very good product, very bad support for a paid service. Two "very" words in one sentence. I thought of giving it less due to (again) very bad support but I'm being kind...
Product provides what promised.
But
1password has admitted that there is a bug for a specific case but has failed to fix it for over a year now!
1password with passkeys for Oracle sites (and maybe others)
I don't know how I'd live without it
I don't know how I'd live without it. OTP, secure notes, separate vaults. 10/10.

does not work well on iphone
I can use it to log into apps on my iphone, but I cannot (and I keep trying) register with an app using 1password.
This means I can only ever register to a new website on my computer.
The 1password guide is not helpful as the key symbol does not exist when attempting with an app. It is, there when I need to enter a password and this works, but when I need to create a password, it is not there.
Broadly speaking, it is otherwise very useful and the UI interface was better than others I have tried. None are perfect - I suspect it is a tricky area to get to work across all browsers/apps, etc.
I do have to "clean up" once in a while to delete passwords that have somehow not synced. I use it to separate work and personal passwords which is useful. I could probably learn to use it better.
rude customer care by Catherine F.
I asked 1password customer service why I can't see Italian website's logo/favicons and they replied that if I want to see them I must provide a whole list of websites so they can try to add them to their DB.
Me?? I cared to let them know that I'm not on Agile Bits's pay book and it should be their job to keep their DB widely updated, not mine.
At first was an annoying Amy M. who was not very nice, but eventually the next agent was even worse when she replied with this: "I understand your perspective, though our position remains the same. If you prefer not to provide those details, you can continue using 1Password without them. " which is like saying: if you like it this way, good. Differently, we don't care...

This is the reason why I'm leaving 1password and I will do my best to spread the word over the internet to let people know what an awful customer support idiots work at this company.
There are many other password manager services out there which are less expensive, but mainly they treat their PAYING customers with respect for the money we paid them!
Goodbye. Shame on you!
No sync with my Android Ph?
I have given 2 stars only because 1Password works excellent only on my Windows PC. I need this app to work when Im not in my office - I am paying for this app to auto fill on my Android and it does not.
Fairly good product, poor customer service
Fairly good product. Bad customer service.
When I initiate a ticket it takes a couple of days to receive a response, typically asking for more information. I promptly send off the requested information...and then I hear nothing further from 1Password.
One of my tickets involves the fact that 1Password does not populate the Dropbox login on an Android phone. Dropbox is a major app, so they should have figured this out. I've observed this failure on two different phones by two different manufacturers. This is an example of a ticket where the company has completely dropped the ball.
Sometimes when I'm filling in a field the app will get in the way, aggressively prompting me to generate a password or load the field into the app. This can obscure the text that I'm trying to enter into the field. There needs to be a way to quickly and easily tell the app to go quiet for a given field or web page.
To summarize: 1Password works fairly well on a Windows browser, not so well on an Android phone, and support is bad.
The password manager keeps changing the…
The password manager keeps changing the keyboard shortcut settings in my browser. It is extremely annoying.
5 stars because it's better
I have been using it for years now! Everything that a password manager needs, plus additional useful stuff like notes, watchguard, SSH keys, and more.
Would like to see more of those "nice-to-haves" and maybe more integrations with services like Fastmail and privacy.
Also, it lacks the option to add coupons to a subscription that's currently active.
But 5 stars because it's better, more useful, and more affordable.
No response from support yet again
I wish this is the first time I've had this problem. However, unfortunately this is not the first time I've had this problem where eye contact support. They don't do anything and then they completely ghost me when I call them out on the fact that they're not actually answering their support ticket other than with an automated response that I could have found on their website. That didn't even address the problem had they bothered to read the email originally sent to them. They would have known this information but they didn't bother. I wish this the first time I've had the problem where support ghosts me. However, unfortunately this isn't. I wish this is the first time I've had a problem where I've had to contact support. However, that seems to be an ongoing problem. Not that the support actually does anything to begin with. One password has got to have the worst support I've ever seen. Perhaps if they spent a little more effort on support teams and a little less money on partnerships, maybe they have a better app
