In 2008 we celebrated our Group centenary. The First New Cross Scout Group was formed on 17th January 1908 in Besson Street, New Cross making us one of, if not the oldest, Scout Group in the World. Along with one of the oldest troops in the world we offer the young people of the surrounding area an exciting outlook into their future lives, the prospect of developing their otherwise untapped abilities and the invitation to join the 100 year old adventure that is otherwise known as scouting.

Hired the scout hut and grounds for my sons birthday party which turned out great. Good size kitchen and hut. The bouncy castle supplied by Rodney's Party's went down a storm with the children and I am very pleased with the professional service given. I would definately recommend hiring for an event and at such good value. Thank you for making my son a very happy boy on his birthday!
Beyond excellent. The grounds are perfect for any kind of event and the price is reasonable which is hard to find these days. I have recommended the hut many times to those enquiring.
