14 Day Cooling Off Period

Every Service Agreement purchased is subject to a 14-day cooling off period. This allows the Service Provider and the Customer to cancel the service agreement without penalty. Please note that any claim submitted within this 14-day period will be subject to a mandatory £95 Excess. If subsequently www.247homerescue.co.uk the Breakdown is deemed to be as a result of an intermittent or pre-existing fault the claim will be declined. In such circumstances a Pay on Use Service is available. The 14-day cooling off period commences from the date of inception of the claim or receipt of agreement whichever is sooner. Provided you have paid your contract fees, we will guarantee that our engineers will conduct one annual service (if this has been purchased), safety and operational check (this will be a Gas Safe recommended service not a manufacturer’s service) in any 12-month period.

DAY LIGHT ROBBERY

On 17/11/25 I took out a policy with the above company covering Annual Boiler, Service Boiler , Breakdown Central Heating System, Drainage Eligible For 2 Year Price Fix, Home Electrics Home Security, Pest Control and Plumbing paying £25.06 per month. In April 2026 I called and arranged for an appointment to carry out the boiler service and was given an appointment for 01/05/26. When the engineer attended we found out that the gas meter was not working and he informed me that he cannot complete the service if the gas meter is not working. He informed me that he will have to arrange for another visit to service the boiler.

Since then I have not heard anything and yesterday I tried to call but the call was not answered but today they called me back and I proceeded to request for the boiler service. I was informed that the service was completed even though I was not given any documentation and that if they send another engineer I have to pay. They were acknowledging that the service was not completed at the same time saying it was completed and it was a very confusing discussion. They even said they can now send me documentation that it was completed! Eventually I asked them to cancel the service and that is when I was told that I have to pay £84 for the completed boiler service because the engineer attended! But I have been paying since November 2025 how can I then pay as if I did not have a policy.

I have paid out of duress but I feel this is so unfair and unacceptable

Boiler insurance

Excellent until had to make claim term and condition came into it 😂
Boiler working : 15/07/25: Engineer safety check / service
Return from Holidays no hot water no heating I have a heart condition 🤔🤔🤔
2nd Engineer : 19/09/25 : PCB failure no issue identified by first engineer
Long story : £160 to the Valiant engineer who has serviced twice still working
You have to prove that the first engineer interfere with it ££££
Live and learn ...
If you have a boiler which is 13 years old get a local reliable plumber to deal with it
I do not recommend this company
Claim free service you have to pay £95 excess ..
Please for your peace of mind do not use this company
