I hired a tutor for an assignment with the explicit written condition that no AI tools be used. The tutor agreed to this in writing, but then delivered AI-generated work. My school’s official Turnitin report flagged the submission as AI-generated, and the institution formally rejected the assignment, causing significant academic harm. Independent scans from multiple AI detection platforms confirmed the same result, with a human probability score of only 20%.

When I requested a refund for this clear breach of contract, the Chief Operations Officer responded in an unprofessional and dismissive manner. He ignored the official institutional rejection and third-party AI detection evidence, and instead relied on a single false-negative result from GPTZero to deny the refund and close the ticket. The tutor also immediately stopped responding once the proof was provided.

The quality of this platform has deteriorated drastically since the last time I used it over a decade ago. Given this decline, it is hard to believe the service will remain credible in the long term. In my case, I successfully disputed the charge with my credit card provider and recovered the funds.

For anyone in a similar situation: do not allow them to keep your money for a service they failed to provide. 24HourAnswers protects dishonest tutors and disregards the academic integrity standards enforced by real educational institutions.

Avoid this platform entirely.

Not saying this is everyone's experience, but I got scammed

The tutor completely ignored my instructions and submitted work that was totally wrong. When I tried to discuss it, he stopped responding until I contacted customer service for a refund. Instead of fixing the issue, he asked me for more money to “do it properly” and refused to refund me.

Customer service is extremely slow and unhelpful. When they do reply, it’s with generic responses like, “Did you try talking to the tutor?” After weeks of back-and-forth, they simply stopped responding altogether.

The phone number they provide doesn’t work. When you call, you get an automated message, and no one ever answers.

Now I'm 150 dollars short for nothing.

I have been searching for this type of platform for so long! Matt has been amazingly understanding. Every path I can imagine is clear of all potential obstacles. I am excited beyond words to begin!

Rated you a 1 because the biometric login is absolutely ridiculous. Sometimes it takes 30 minutes to get logged in. I will not use you again because of this.

Honestly I feel like you can’t go wrong with the online tutoring. as simple as sending in a problem and having a session with an expert going through it step by step has been a game changer.
