Fantastic trip to SA including Cape Town, Stellenbosh and Kruger safari. Planning from Susan and the team was exceptional and the itinerary perfect for what we wanted. We always felt looked after and the accommodation and food were exceptional. We have used this company 3 times and will definitely use again.

My first booking with 2by2. Great to find local Travel Consultants with detailed knowledge. Claire & Susan managed to negotiate my admission on to a ‘full National Geographic tour’ when I thought my desired trip had passed me by. Individual arrangements worked like clockwork including private transfers, hotels, bag storage and internal flights on a light aircraft. I would highly recommend Costa Rica. If you are thinking of planning a trip, a conversation with 2by2 would be a good place to start.

I recently booked a nature experience in Costa Rica with a local tour company who use 2by2 Holidays as their UK based travel company. 2by2 managed all the costs, bookings, flights and all communications. Importantly, this ensured by trip was fully ATOL protected. I found the Travel Consultants courteous, prompt in dealing with questions and very communicative through all steps of the process. Well organise tour for our two weeks Mexico holiday have no issue except some minor problem like our guide was not great as his English was very poor.

South Africa even to the very remote part of the
country. Their staffs and the services are excellent.
Especially our consultant Lisa Fisher, she spent a lot of
time and patience in order to fulfill our needs for the trip. So finally we definitely recommend this company.

We received excellent service and advice from the minute we met Claire at a travel show pre Covid to the time we returned from holiday last week .
Susan became involved at the booking stage about 10 months ago and listened to what we wanted and more importantly didn’t want in our holiday to SA .She did a lot of research into the types of accommodation and holiday that we wished for and the result was that we had a great time and all 5 stays were excellent.
We particularly liked that out trip was bespoke to us …and we were not just slotted into a typical SA trip that larger companies would perhaps try to do

2x2 arranged the most fantastic adventure for us, around Argentina and Chile. We sent them our outline plans - where, what and when we wanted to go, and they did the rest! All the team communicated very well, and were efficient in dealing with a network of agents across South America, providing hotels, transfers, flights, ferries, buses, with some ideas thrown in for good measure! Hotels were of a good standard in very good locations, with a couple of extra special ones eg the Palafito on stilts in Castro, and Rio Serrano in Torres del Paine. 2x2 have systems and processes in place which mean you have all documents and itineraries in one place, and clear sources of support if needs be. Our trip was complex - Starting in Buenos Aires; swimming with sea lions in Peninsula Valdéz; exploring Tierra del Fuego; on an expedition boat round the bottom of Patagonia (landing on Cape Horn and learning so much); up to Torres del Paine and Grey Glacier; onto Chiloé Island and the Chilean Lake District… finally crossing the Andes by bus and ferry from Puerto Varas to Bariloche. Every piece of the jigsaw slotted into place. No superlative is enough to express what a marvellous experience this was.

We usually use a UK based birding company but decided to choose a local company that we spoke to at the Bird Fair last year. We couldn't fault the organisation, both the assistance we received in the UK and Costa Rica. We travelled with a very experienced guide and driver, the accommodation was very acceptable and the amount of bird life that we saw was both stunning and at times overwhelming. We comprised a group of nine travelling companions who hit it off from the very first day, helping to make it a very enjoyable experience.

My partner and I had an amazing trip to Africa. Flew to Dar Es Salaam, stayed overnight and then 15 nights on Rovos Rail to Cape Town. We ended with 4 days in Franschhoek. Claire and the 2by2 team helped us get the hotel in Dar and in Franschhoek. Both were just what we wanted. Also they booked transfers and some wine tours. When our wine tour driver came a day early, we were able to ring 2by2 from South Africa and they fixed it within the hour. 2by2 have organised many holidays for us and have always provided sound advice and great customer service.

2 by 2 Holidays are very good at keeping in touch throughout the whole holiday booking experience.

This was a well-organised trip to the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico with an excellent local guide. The hotels were all of a good standard. The administration prior to the holiday was very efficient. All-in-all a great holiday experience.

The company and staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant. All questions were responded to in quick quick time and they were on the ball immediately when we had a flight cancelled. Their choice of locations were brilliant and their South African partners were just as good. I will definitely be using 2by2 Holidays again

Caribbean to The Pacific Costa Rica. A long awaited family holiday, and I wanted it to be perfect. Susan certainly contributed to this outcome. I deliberately chose an independent smaller provider that I hoped would provide a personal service. Susan did so and beyond! From my first contact with the company, Susan responded to my queries / requests promptly and satisfactorily; nothing seemed too much trouble for her. The itinerary was splendid, sufficient own-time, many excursions included in the price. Different levels of accommodation, from "basic rustic" to 5-star hotels, all which had all the modern comforts. The locations for were varied; a lodge in a lagoon, to a research centre in the middle of a forest. Many choices of food, and The local guides were fluent in English and knowledgeable. All transfers by shuttle and boat were on time and comfortable.

There was a local issue while we were out there (appeared to be a miscommunication of some sort between the local agent and a provider); and as not received a satisfactory response from the local agent, I got in touch with Susan.

She responded immediately and said she would look into it. This she did and matter was resolved quickly and to my satisfaction.

Suggestion: After. a long flight, and delayed taking-off from London too, we arrived in time to have dinner at our hotel; meal not included in itinerary. But breakfast the next day was. However, breakfast was from 6 a.m and pick-up to next location was 6:30 a.m ; this was a very tight window. I was not allowed to pick-up anything ("hotel policy") for my family who were getting ready in the room. In any event, the pick-up was late and we did manage to have some coffee. Perhaps the option of a packed breakfast?
