Beware the small print. Non Refundable deposits on bookings!

I do not recommend this company. Back in the New Year we booked a camper for a holiday in the UK in July 2022 (we were living in the US at the time so everything required a lot of planning ...). I paid a £200 deposit for the van. I recently discovered that due to unforeseen circumstances we will not be able to go on this holiday so with 11 weeks notice cancelled my booking, fully expecting to receive a refund of my deposit. I just found out today that the company are refusing a refund, claiming that they wont be able to let the van etc. I seriously doubt that this is the case as in my experience of booking campervans there is usually a high demand and that's precisely why I made my booking so early. I feel that given the very uncertain times we have gone through lately it is very inflexible of them to refuse to accommodate my change of plan and that it's rather churlish and greedy of them to keep my deposit. I wont be using this company again.

Excellent holiday

This was without doubt one of the best holidays we have ever had. We hired Sidney for 2 weeks and drove 1602 miles all around the country. Sidney was lovely to drive and very comfortable. The van had everything you could need for your time away. Added bonus was the fridge which kept the wine beautifully cooled. We visited 9 different campsites. The only downside was having to hand Sidney back.

The handover from Lazio was great and very informative. We felt very prepared for our time away. Vivienne was so friendly and helpful thoughout the whole process. They really care and want you to have a great holiday. We will definitely (already have) book with them again. Excellent customer service from start to finish. Thank you guys.

Camper van / motorhome newbies

Camper van / motorhome newbies, we had looked at several different options. But we wanted to go to St.Just in Cornwall and knowing the roads down there we settled on hiring a VW camper from 365 Campers. Wow! From the start to finish, they covered it all and made a slightly nervous 1st timer, a convert. Hiring in our situation is currently the way to go and the 365 team will be our goto from now on. They are just so helpful and knowledgeable. The only things you need are food and clothing. Ignore the caravan and motorhome snobs, get yourselves to 365 Campers and enjoy yourselves. Don't take my word for it, try them and take a look at their site for helpful advise and video guides.

Overall the van are good if basic, the attitude to service is quite different!

We picked our van (Colette) in September.
The hand over was delayed as they were trying to brief 3 pick ups in one. After ½ hour wait, we asked if we could get started and where told that the others were in a jam on the M25 so reluctantly they briefed us.

Although they showed the gas hob working they must have used all the gas in it as it was empty when we tried it later. This cost us a 1 ½ detour (North Devon doesn't seem to stock much gas).

The argument that 'you can't tell how full a gas bottle is' is poor as they are small and they could provide one in use and one spare.

The AdBlue is another odd issue, again it is not a cheap rental and the vans are provided fuelled so this should include topped up AdBlue.

The surprising issue was having a fault with the side door which decided not to shut whilst on a camp site.
We called VW Assist and the AA were great, arriving quickly and assessing the problem. On first inspection the mechanic said the spring had gone in the latch and it was a dealer fix - nearest was Exeter. This meant we could not leave the van as it was unsecure and driving would be interesting as we would have to find some way of lashing it shut.

We called 365 Campers who spoke to the AA mechanic and then reluctantly agreed that they would drive a replacement van down to us the following day but pointed out that 'They have a life too'.

Fortunately the AA mechanic decided to take the panel off the door to find a better purchase for tying the door shut and the catch decided to fix itself.

We call 365 back to cancel the replacement and they agreed.

The other issue is the return. Returning the van by 9:30 means unless you are camping in Bicester, you may as well drop home the previous day and drop it off in the morning.

The refund of the £500 has a very long lead time. It was taken instantly, but the refund wasn't started before Thursday ('when we run our accounts payable') and then took 2 days to come through (They use Zettle by PayPal).

Overall the van was good if basic, the attitude to service is quite different!

Hidden cost of Adblu and stove gas if empty

Camper van condition and holiday was amazing, however several aspects of the company can be improved. 1. At arrival we and other customers were confused where the office actually was because their business name isn’t on the door of their office. 2. There is also a “hidden” cost not mentioned- if your van runs out of Adblu or gas for the stove, you have to pay for it yourself and they won’t reimburse you for it. The gas- I semi-understand- it is not easy to determine how much gas is left in a tank- however would be nice if one has to get a new gas tank during their trip, they can claim money back from the company. We did not have any trouble with gas supply, however, within 24 hours collection of our van, we had to top up with 10.5L of Adblu for “fill up Adblu” warning light to come off (they come on when you have around 1/4 left, and we were told by staff we MUST fill up when the warning light comes on) which caused us a lot of inconvenience as we weren’t anywhere near any shops/petrol station, this cost us 1.5 hour of the morning by the time we drove to the nearest town, got everything sorted and drove back. The Adblu tank size was only 13L, which means it was almost empty when the van was handed to us, so I don’t understand why they wouldn’t have filled it up before giving us the vehicle. When brought up with staff when handing van over, they informed us it was because they are busy they don’t always have time to fill it up before handing the van over to a customer (they also mentioned “well it doesn’t cost that much” - it cost us £15 which is not a lot, but a bug hassle to get it sorted-and if it doesn’t cost that much why can’t you fill it up before we pick up the vehicle since we paid a sum to hire it?) I find the whole thing a bit cheeky as it doesn’t take them that long to do - not to mention the car has done around 7000 miles (a typical full tank would take you an average of 6000 miles- which means the car likely would have just been topped up once, or none at all prior to us filling it up).
All in all we had a really good holiday, the Adblu issue just bummed us out a bit.

365 Campers Awesome experience.

We had an awesome trip in Daisy the burnt orange camper van. From the moment we arrived to collect Daisy the 365 staff made us feel so welcome, provided a good demo of the vehicle and plenty of useful advice.
Daisy was well equipped, comfortable and great fun to drive and to live in.
At the end of the trip we were sad to drop Daisy off but this was helped by the 365 staff making it a painless experience.
We can thoroughly recommend 365 campers, they will look after you and help ensure you have an awesome camper van experience.

Great product & service…the rest is up to you

I’d recommend 365 to family and friends without a moments thought. The vans are all new, well maintained and easy to use. The conversions are clever with all mod cons. Handover was informative and the return straightforward.
We were impressed in the genuine approach of the company, we can’t fault any part of the process.

Great week away in Daisy.

Great week away in Daisy.
The team at 365 were so helpful with my questions and checks before we booked - it was really reassuring and made the pick up and return totally stress free.
Our son loved the week in the campervan and although we only stayed in one location it was a great way to do a family holiday. The van was clean, fueled and totally easy to drive. We did hire the extra tent/awning - but probably wouldn't do that next time as it was a bit of a faf, especially putting it away in the rain on the last day, aside from that, the whole experience was really stress free.
Would recommend 365 without issue.

Fabulous trip to Scotland

Everything was immaculately clean. Decent sleep in the fold down bed and the upstairs bunk. Great bike rack for our three bikes on the back which felt very secure even at speed on the motorway.
