Charged a $300 smoking fee. We do not smoke!

Me and my husband stayed at this property like we have many times before. We have never had an issue. This time they charged us a $300 smoking fee. Which is absolutely absurd! We do not smoke! They told me they went through our trash (disgusting!)and found evidence of tobacco. What they found was my husband's spit cup. He chews tobacco. They said there was a heavy smoke smell which is totally not true. Chewing tobacco does not leave any type of odor, especially a smoke smell, since you do not light it. They essentially stole $300 from us and refuse to give it back!!
