Don’t let this company work on your property!
The best advice I can give in this review of 4 Seasons is to avoid this company at all costs and ignore any assurances or promises as to their integrity or professionalism.
I contracted Four Seasons to replace my existing drive and path with a resin bound make-over and to restore a small boundary wall to its former glory. During the work, I questioned both the surface preparation, depth (5mm) and obvious flaws in the finished surface from day 1, but was advised by Travis these were all nothing to worry about. All were standard practice or would 'settle in'. If not, Travis and Jason both guaranteed they would come back and replace the whole drive if I wasn't happy. This was the first red flag.
Within 6 months, holes started to appear where the surface was either not prepared correctly or just not deep enough to create a lasting bond. Both on the main drive and areas of the path that don't see much if any footfall. 4 Seasons brought forward my '12 month after care' visit and essentially filled the holes and then rolled an extra layer of resin over the whole surface. They missed several holes in their haste to get it over with, but promised to return soon. For a few months Travis responded to my attempts to get him to finish the work, saying that he fully intended to come back and make good the poor workmanship but always had some excuse why this hadn't happened.
Of course he was just stringing me along and had no intention of returning, or he would have been here a long time back as this was 18 months ago. The surface is now significantly degraded with many holes covering the whole driveway and path, the largest being about 1m by 0.3m in size. Within a short time of their only return visit, Travis switched to a new tactic. I have tried voicemail, texting, emailing, calling and writing however all have been ignored, including a few cases of hanging up instead of picking up.
Essentially classic rogue trader behaviour. Beware engaging this company to do any work on your property as from my experience their promises and verbal guarantees are worth nothing as they do not have the skill to deliver a product that is fit for purpose or the moral fortitude to keep to their word or stand by the quality of their work and make good any issues with their workmanship.
I'm left with a driveway that is unsightly and has made a negative impact on the value of my property. We regret paying the last instalment while there were still clear issues with the workmanship and still kick ourselves that we fell for the old “We really need the cash as we can’t feed the kids due to covid”. Travis and Jason really played us for fools there. A clear reminder that whenever you get tradesmen in to work on your property, make sure you pay some of the bill with a credit card to add a level of insurance and always get word of mouth recommendations rather than relying on a scattering of online reviews which are so glowing, they can only have come from friends and family.
