Damian came out to fix our back door…
Damian came out to fix our back door lock on our old, wooden French patio doors and arrived within an hour of me placing the enquiry! Very good communication directly from him and he even came back to do some minor adjustments a week later as the wooden door settled. Good price and a great job done. Thank you Damian!

Fast but overpriced.
Came out quickly when my son - who is on the autism spectrum and therefore clearly vulnerable to exploitation - forgot his flat-door key. From memory, when this happened once before, the locksmith found a suitable key. Instead, 7-Locksmiths chose to replace a nearly new, standard lock with a scratched-up old one, charging my son £319 for what must have been about 15 minutes' work. Will avoid in future.

We’re sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the service provided.
Please let us clarify a few points for anyone reading this review. Every lock and every lockout situation is different. In this case, our locksmith identified that the existing lock was anti-pick, meaning non-destructive entry was unfortunately not possible. As a result, the only viable method of gaining access was to drill the lock and replace it.
We’re also unable to comment on what another locksmith may have done on a previous occasion, as we can only assess the lock that is in front of us at the time of attendance.
To be completely transparent, the invoice consisted of:
* £180 – emergency door unlocking,
* £79 – new lock supplied with 3 keys,
* £59 – installation.
All work, the available options and the pricing were explained before any work was carried out and we only proceeded once everything had been agreed.
We pride ourselves on treating every customer fairly and with respect, regardless of their personal circumstances and we’re sorry that you feel we fell short on this occasion.

Really disappointed that after 2 weeks…
Really disappointed that after 2 weeks the lock was not working. He came out to check it and it appeared to be working then asked for £59! I expected as the lock was only fitted 2 weeks ago that as part of customer service he would want to check not charge. Very expensive service

We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience.
When you contacted us regarding the lock, we explained before attending that if the lock itself was found to be faulty, we would of course investigate the issue. However, if no fault was found with the lock and it was operating correctly, a call-out charge would apply for the time spent attending and diagnosing the issue.
Upon inspection, the lock was found to be functioning correctly and no fault could be identified with either the lock or the installation.
We understand that this was frustrating, which is why when you expressed concern about the call-out charge, we tried to find a fair solution. Rather than charging the £59 call-out fee, we asked what amount you felt was reasonable to cover our time and loss of availability. You suggested £30, which was accepted immediately.
We always aim to treat our customers fairly and reasonably and we are sorry that on this occasion you felt dissatisfied with the outcome.

Really pleased with the service
Really pleased with the service. Came late out on a Saturday afternoon and managed to put on a good temporary fix whilst the new part was on order which meant that I had a lockable door. He then came back at a time convenient to me to install the new locking mechanism.
Prompt, polite and with a good work ethic and an ensured all was working exactly as it should. Very pleased
