Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
We would like to clarify the situation to avoid any misunderstanding. The initial price discussed over the phone (£59 labour plus parts) was a provisional estimate only, given before our engineer had the opportunity to assess the issue on site. As explained at the time, final costs can only be confirmed after inspection.
Once the engineer assessed the door, you were given a clear breakdown of the full costs before any work was carried out.
The total cost £458 was explained in advance and you were asked if you were happy to proceed. At that point you confirmed that you were satisfied with the price and agreed for the work to go ahead. No work was undertaken without your approval.
Regarding the review: our engineers sometimes offer to help customers write a review, especially when customers have difficulty typing on mobile phones. In these cases the engineer writes exactly what customer asks them to write, word for word. This is offered purely as assistance and many of our customers appreciate this option.
We always aim to be transparent, upfront and fair with our pricing and we regret if there was any confusion. If you would like to discuss this further, we are more than happy to do so directly.

Outstanding service from Damian at 7-Locksmiths
My front door lock broke completely, leaving me unable to secure my home. I initially contacted another local company who messed me around for hours, repeatedly saying they were on their way and then delaying. When they finally arrived three hours later, the locksmith was rude, dismissive, and said he didn’t have time to fix it. I felt intimidated in my own home and had to ask him several times to leave.
By this point it was dark, I was extremely upset, and my young daughter and I were left with no way of locking the front door.
I then rang 7-Locksmiths in tears and explained what had happened. Damian was absolutely fantastic — calm, reassuring, and kind. He told me not to worry and promised to get to me as soon as possible to make the house safe.
He arrived around 40 minutes later, immediately got to work, and had the lock fixed within about 30 minutes. Afterward, he stayed to talk and reassure me, apologising that I’d had such an awful experience with an unprofessional locksmith earlier.
I HIGHLY recommend 7-Locksmiths and Damian. I can’t thank him enough for making my daughter and me feel safe again

I made a call to 7 Locksmiths and I was…
I made a call to 7 Locksmiths and I was able to speak to someone to explain the issues I had with a door lock. They were then able rj send a member of their team to my house within x30 minutes. They assessed the problem and called me to confirm the cost to fix it and asked if I was ok for them to proceed. They had all the relevant tools and equipment on their van which meant my initial problem was rectified inside an hour of making the call. A great and very efficient service.
