Amazing Customer Service
The customer service of 8000kicks did a really great job after I had some issues with my shoes. The new ones I love and wear them ever since comfortably! Can only recommend these shoes and the team behind it.
I love 8000 kicks products
I love 8000 kicks products and the company. The quality of products is excellent, the customer service is wonderful, and the ethos of the company is great.
I started with 2 pairs of trekkers and socks via a Kickstarter, adding a wallet. Then I got the Kickstarter for a Commuter bag set. Loved every product.
The socks I got with the trekkers were so good I had to have more - I have honestly not spent so much money on socks in my life so far, combined, as I just have on this last order ... but they're just so comfy!
I love my new Men’s Runners!
I ordered a pair of Men’s Runners and found that they were a bit too small. I worked with the team at 8000Kicks to arrange an exchange. The responsiveness was quick and super polite across all of the associates I spoke with. Now that I have them the shoes themselves are fabulous and I’m ready for the stress test.
Great shoes
Great shoes. Very light and comfortable to wear. And they look very good too.
My 8000kicks Trekkers were made for walking and they walked all over..
I just wanted to post a review of my Trekker, which did a whole lot of travelling in March. I really enjoyed wearing them and they felt light and comfortable. I trekked through rain, mud, and dusty areas, and all it took was a wipe down with a wet towel. Im a 72 year old woman, and I must say these were the best walking/ trekking shoes. I even climbed up 600 stone stairs to an ancient temple on a hill in Hampi, India. The stairs were rough and uneven, but I truly had steady grip with the trekkers. And coming down the stairs was also not uncomfortable on my arthritic knees. The treads were amazing. Only drawback: don't wear them on the long flight as it got hot. That was my mistakes for not wearing more appropriate shoes on the flight.
I highly recommend these shoes....
Lifetime warranty not honoured for manufacturing defect
I purchased a backpack from 8000Kicks in September 2025, sold with a lifetime warranty.
Within the first year, a manufacturing defect became apparent: a structural pocket was not sewn into the body of the backpack at all during manufacturing, leaving the pocket unsecured. Independent repair professionals confirmed this is a structural defect, not wear and tear or a cosmetic issue, and that a proper repair requires dismantling and re‑stitching an integrated panel.
The company acknowledged that the product was under warranty, but characterised the repair as a €5–€10 fix and offered a small amount of compensation that did not reflect the actual nature or cost of the repair. This offer did not address the defect or restore the product to conformity.
When I requested a proper warranty remedy (repair, reimbursement of reasonable repair costs, or replacement), the company stated this was their “final offer” and insisted that I return the backpack to a physical shop, while refusing to cover the cost of returning a defective product from abroad.
In practice, this means the advertised lifetime warranty is conditional on the customer absorbing significant cost and inconvenience, even when a manufacturing defect is acknowledged.
I am sharing this experience factually so other customers can make an informed decision. I have submitted the matter to the competent Portuguese consumer authority and will update this review if the issue is resolved appropriately.
UPDATE:
Thank you for your response.
To clarify, this concerns a manufacturing defect present at the time of sale, not a discretionary warranty issue. The defect has been independently assessed as structural: a pocket was never integrated into the body of the backpack, requiring disassembly and reconstruction to repair.
You mentioned having handled similar cases before. If this type of defect was already known, it raises a reasonable question as to why it was not identified or addressed at the point of sale. A structural manufacturing issue of this kind should not pass quality control, particularly if it is a recurring problem.
I have obtained multiple independent repair assessments in Australia, all of which confirm that this is not a minor €5–€10 repair, but a substantially more involved structural fix. The $40 compensation offered does not reflect the actual cost required to restore the product to conformity.
In your most recent email, you stated: “this is the final offer we have for you” and reiterated that the main process would be to return the item to the physical shop in Portugal, while declining to cover the cost of returning a defective product from abroad. By presenting this as a “final offer” and closing the discussion while the defect remains unresolved, there is no realistic way to access the advertised lifetime warranty without incurring disproportionate cost and inconvenience.
Under the Sale of Goods Directive (EU) 2019/771, a seller must bring goods into conformity free of charge and without significant inconvenience to the consumer. While logistical constraints may exist, a remedy must still be effective in practice. A solution that requires the consumer to bear substantial international costs, or that does not cover the actual repair, does not resolve the defect.
As a result, I have referred the matter to the competent Portuguese consumer authorities for assessment.
I am sharing this experience factually so other customers can make an informed decision. I will update this review if the issue is resolved appropriately.

8000Kicks ROCK!
Fantastic, high quality products that made travel a joy!! But even more important, OUTSTANDING customer service. Had an issue with one of the 6 products I got. Instantly taken care of - no questions asked - FIXED!! Kudos to a great team - 8000Kicks ROCKS!
Turned my toes blue
I'm a size 42.5 EU, and I've been wearing regular size 43 shoes my whole life without major issues. First time I walked a bit longer on these shoes (~12km in one evening) both big toes got bruised symmetrically. I didn't wear them since, to give my feet time to recover, but three months later my nails are still blue and are starting to come off.
Which makes this the worst experience with a shoe I've ever had. I honestly don't really understand how, because they don't even feel all that tight while walking in them. They actually feel quite comfortable. Maybe the material is just too stiff and the toe box too small. I like the design and the quality, but for this reason I cannot recommend them.
I did give the shoes time to break in with about a week of short distances / everyday use, and my feet could definitely handle long distances at the time as I got my 10k a day for months consistenly and did regular longer walks. It wasn't a case of doing too much too soon. I also did a foot scan at a hiking shop and my feet are just slightly wider than average, but not as much as requiring a special type of wider shoe ever before.
So I guess these shoes are just only suited for narrow up to exactly average width feet and not a millimeter more.
I didn't buy from them directly so there's probably nothing anyone can do. So I'll put them on Vinted. Shame about the money wasted.

Bought in July, still going strong after a crash and storm
I bought my shoes back in July of this year. As an anniversary gift to myself as well as being sick of going through shoes like crazy. I was working in a restaurant doing 30,000 steps a day and I generally went through probably a pair of shoes every 6-10 weeks. I switched to a less active job, but cycle 100-120 miles a week. I've been in this job since July of 2024. I have easily put these shoes through a 1000 miles and more of use. They are my only and daily shoe. They hate survival a British Rain Storm where they were so. Waterproof, I stopped 4 times to pour water out of them! I rang them out by hand when I got home and let them air dry. They also survived a car/E-Bike (that's me) crash with very minor grazing but they did leave a small hole, that's expected after such a crash. They took some time to break in, the quality is extremely resilient and durable which is exactly what I was after. The sole hasn't broke away as most shoes do and are usually the first place for me to break. I love the soles are easily removable and have been washed a few times as since have the original rain storm and a lot of heavy rain recently, it's been difficult to keep them from smelling like damp. However, I did wash them, not in the recommended way, but they came out great. I'm really hoping I can reach out to pay for some new soles as I have put them through a lot. I will absolutely be getting a new pair in the future as the price is absolutely worth it. The customer service has been brilliant and I had an issue with UPS delivering to me, which they have continued to investigating months after my purchase and continued to update me. As I always believe, be honest with the seller, they'll be honest with you. Thank you for a fantastic product. Please look into water proof cycling shoe covers next!
Comfortable
Comfortable, stylish. It's my new favorite sneaker. Stays dry in the wet PNW weather.
8000 kicks trekkers never arrived
I paid for a pair of 8000 kicks trekkers in May, pre-ordered. They were planned to arrive in August. This weekend NOVEMBER starts! And I still am waiting for my trekkers to arrive. It's a very sad situation. I will need to contact the customer association in Belgium.

Trust and reliability!
Hi! Appreciate hemp shoes and the company 8000kicks who make them!
Super comfortable. I ordered my third pair of sun-sliders, fourth pr. hemp shoes in total.
My last order involved a glitch with undetermined theft after shipping and a postal strike. Bernardo reached out via email to inform me, and disclose the issue and remained transparent with commitment and promise to re- ship if needed. Shoes arrived, fit perfect!
I had to honor to be one of the first…
I had to honor to be one of the first to receive the Hemp Trekker in Navy Blue and super stoked. Der very comfortable and perfect for wet autumn days and outdoor activities.
Aslo I have to mention the fast and friendly communication of the team.
I love this company
I love this company, the products, their marketing and the way they care about their customers. The shoes I bought, 3 pairs all got their best fit after some time and then they stay like that. The socks never smell. If anything I want them to make more products to choose from.

Love my shoes!
I bought my first pair, waterproof trainers, as a Kickstarter and was so impressed that I bought a pair of the slip-ons too. Both pairs are extremely comfortable and are very well made. There was a slight delay in the delivery of the Kickstarter pair but I was kept up to date and, having bought a lot of items through Kickstarter, I’m aware that timescales don’t always run to plan with new and developing companies. Overall I’m very happy with my shoes and will definitely buy from the company again.
Excellent quality and functional…
Excellent quality and functional design! Trustworthy and rapid service, friendly communication!
Comfortable and sustainable
I’m from Australia and I bought 3 sneakers from 8000 kicks. Runners for the gym and walking, sneakers for casual wear, and the trekker for my travelling. I’ve really enjoyed the shoes, they are comfortable, super light and the initial tightness I felt has overtime reduced.
Overall, it matters to me to wear shoes made from sustainable material so I think I made a good investment. I hope they can sell in Australia so it’s not so expensive to convert the currency!
Great for Triathlon T2
I recently bought the Runners and they are very comfortable. As I do triathlons, the sock liner makes it easier to transition to running without having to tighten the laces.
Great products
I love the Email, the style they communicate with one is very special and new to me. I bought the chelsea boots and the "seekers" from their store. I am very happy. waterproof, more breathable than other shoes I owned and very nice crafting. I also bought a tech bag..and what can I say...I am happy...yes they are pricy but I hope they are as long lasting as they look
