Definitely not the most approachable bike store..
Most definitely not the most approachable bike store.. Im sorry to say that my experience with the Ashmore store on the Gold Coast today was very disappointing. I came in with my electric assisted mountain bike purchased just over 5 weeks ago from this store for a couple of reasons, I was advised that after a month of use I should bring it back in for a check over. I went for a ride last weekend and after a downhill ride I noticed my front wheel was rubbing on the forks, I then loosened the and relightened the front wheel and it was okay. After arriving at 99 bikes today I asked if they could check over it and also give me some tips for maintaining my expensive toy. I was shown how the front wheel is supposed to be done up which is exactly how I had it when I encountered the wheel rubbing. I was told I can use chain lubricant aswell as wash the dust off. All of these I already knew and I can get more info from a YouTube video or website. I also wanted to know what the best suspension tuning would suit for me, and was told to talk to the sales rep as he had no idea. I wanted to find a comfortable seat replacement as the factory one gets a bit uncomfortable after a while. And was shown one with the same softness and design.
I'm not impressed with this and I'm not one to ever right a bad review but feel the need to as I'm quite disappointed after travelling 45 minutes in heavy traffic for no help what so ever.

Steering wheel wasn’t aligned with front wheel.
Bell was fit in Center of steering wheel and not close to the handle with brakes.

GREAT SERVICE!!
I was looking for a scooter on line for my granddaughter's birthday recently and found exactly what I was looking for at 99 Bikes Ashmore at a great price! The Click & Collect service is streamlined and a great option - no delays and great service when collecting. Definitely would recommend this store - thank you for making a little girl so happy! She loves her scooter!

Bought online with delivery
Bought online with delivery, was sent an email to pick-up… When I got there, they gave me rusty display bike, with some loose bolts.. I’ve complained saying that is not a new bike, she got another one which looked better.. since i got the bike every ride the chain snaps off… don’t recommend 99 bikes…

Razor e90 powercore
We got my son the razor e90 powercore scooter. Its a terrible product. The button that starts motor is on or off. It accelerated too fast for a kid. So he crashed and got hurt in multiple places after the 1st 2 metres. Also the plastic wheels are so hard that its almost too rough to ride. At $280 save your money. It's cheap and feels it.

No communication
Ordered a click and collect item that said could collect in 2 hours. After approximately 8 I had to call the store to ask and they said they couldn’t find it and they will get back to me by the end of the day. Had to call back the next day to follow up to be told they have to order it in cause they can’t find the stock. Almost a week later I had to call again and apparently they had it out the back and hadn’t got around to emailing me yet. Not once did they reach out to me to let me know what was going on I had to consistently call them.

Considering Christmas busy guy so sorry forgot name was so helpful over phone. Helped with protec helmets for my two boys.
I then called head office as one was at the Ashmore store one at office. That guy again super helpful.
Understandable assistants get busy at Christmas but these guys super.
