I have been using the gym at A1 since May/June 2023 (4 times weekly)and found that all the staff are polite and experienced.
The gym is of a good calibre and well equipped
and I always look forward to my visits. Keep up the good work

Extremely inconsiderate, rude and disrespectful towards there own clients.
A training service that just shove more work to you although it's not even in the contract and no extra pay is included. Giving you work to do expecting you to reach stupid targets although you don't have any training given for this or any information on how to achieve these targets. They do mental health courses here but the manager don't seem to understand it himself and again is very inconsiderate! Gym is not too bad but it's not pleasant training in the gym and hearing the manager being rude towards his clients. Don't recommend at all

Yes I am the boyfriend of an employee who has left, but I am still aware of mistreatment from the boss (Stephen Banks), I am also aware of how the roles work as I have come in various amount of times and sometimes sat in the reception bit after doing a session in the gym! But anyway why does that matter... I understand that you are a training service and should be training people up before giving them another role! I also understand that you can't just shove more work onto them and expect them just to do it when they have NOT been shown but I have no reason to understand the business but I still understand that you can't mistreat your employers to the point they're having a breakdown, giving them ridiculous targets to meet, in a short period of time... but no training or understanding on how to reach these targets! Also you do mental health courses but don't take anyone's mental health into consideration and very insensitive towards your employee's. I'm glad you look forward to seeing 'Genuine' members in the coming days and weeks... I guess they don't see the mistreatment of your employees! I have listened to an audio that my partner had recorded and I find Mr Banks extremely arrogant and quite toxic too!

Been a member of a few gyms but I must say this is the most friendly one I've joined I must admit I don't use it as much as I should but I am now goin to try but the staff are very friendly and welcoming

Love this gym has everything you need but not a massive intimidating place like some gyms so you feel comfortable an relaxed working out, staff are very friendly an always happy to help, price is good an affordable, gald I found this gym an will be a member for the foreseeable 😊

Really glad I came across this gym, location for me is perfect and plenty of parking. All the staff are friendly and take time out to get to know you, so a really nice relaxed atmosphere. There is plenty of equipment for me to have a full and varied workout everytime I am there. Have recommended to friends already and will continue to do so. Thanks A1!

A1 make you feel extremely welcome and the staff always have a smile on their face. The gym has excellent equipment to use ranging from all types of cardio machines to weight machines. I love the fact they have big changing rooms and access to showers after a sweaty workout! … I have tried many gyms but feel like A1 is definitely the best I’ve been to! :)

Bare basics gym. But has everything you need. I think it's fantastic, all the equipment is kept clean and well functioning. The staff are lovely and helpful, and if you go in at the right times, you can earwig in on the owner training trainee trainers. The price is great too. And theres no tie in and includes the option of pay as you go if you are unsure of if it's right for you.
I joined in feb, and I have lost 2 stone. Increased my running up to 10 mins non stop, and majorly seen gains in my muscles and ability. Still have 4 more stone to lose, but I feel confident I can in the next 12 months. And the lovely chats and compliments I get from Angie just makes me feel like I can achieve. It's a properly family run business.
They have treadmills, cycling, rowing and cross trainers. Plus 7 weights machines. (Including a cable machines) All the dumbells you could want. Plus ropes, balls and others I don't know names of lol.
Theres changing rooms with showers and toilets. And there is a beauty parlour there too.

Very affordable gym with good selection of machines and equipment. Staff are really friendly and happy to help if needed.

I have never been to a gym where I have felt comfortable, I'm a plus size woman so can get very self-conscious, that is until I stepped into A1 gym. My first time walking I had no judgement looks like every other place I have been, no, I was welcomed in by amazing staff ready to help where ever needed. They chatted to me and made me feel so comfortable and relaxed within my first 10 minutes of going through the door. I've been going for around 5/6 months now and they all know me by face and always have a chat to see how I am, and the progress I am making.
Steve, the owner, has much pride in making everyone feel welcome, and like they have everything they need. He is always wanting to improve on services that they provide and welcomes any suggestions made.
The equipment is definitely sufficient to my needs. It also has showers for if you fancy going between shift times. They have drinks and snacks on site so don't worry if you forget your water as you can always buy one there, and are very reasonably priced! Just like the prices for memberships and pay as you go! I have no idea of another gym where you can go for a workout for £3!
I honestly could not recommend this gym enough, trust me I have, to everyone I know and plenty of them are now customers. You won't regret joining this gym.
