Exceptional Service at A1
Exceptional Service at A1 – Special Thanks to Silvia Ninova!
I recently visited the A1 store on Vitosha Boulevard and was truly impressed by the outstanding service I received. From the moment I walked in, Silvia Ninova, the shop manager, went above and beyond to make sure all my questions were answered and my needs were met. She was not only professional and knowledgeable, but also genuinely friendly and attentive.
Silvia took the time to explain all my options, helped me find the best plan for my needs, and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. One of the things that really stood out to me is that A1 offers the fourth fastest internet in the world—which makes a huge difference for my gamer son. The high-speed, reliable connection has truly improved his gaming experience at home.
It's rare to experience such a high level of customer care, and I left the store feeling valued and well taken care of. Thank you, Silvia, and the entire A1 team, for your exceptional service! I highly recommend this store to anyone looking for high-quality digital solutions, ultra-fast internet, and top-notch customer support.
Predatory
Few years back, one of their representatives in Vratsa, Bulgaria, tricked my elderly grandfather to move from prepaid service to a 2-year contract with internet with high monthly fee. He didn't know what the internet was and had a very simple phone, on which he only knew how to call my mother, his daughter. He thought his other grandkids that live far from the city will call him more with internet.
Attempts to find the employee were unsuccessful, she was never at work or at the office.
A1 Bulgaria is a scam
A1 Bulgaria is a scam. They lie clients and what is written in the website is not true!!!!
They charge roaming on 0,99 bearing in mind you already paid for roaming and then they said they can not fix the invoice which is illegal. They also ask for money to give to talk with Customer Service or even to provide you with detailed Invoice. This company must be investigated for fraud as they definitely lie their clients with incorrect provided information!!! Please anyone in A1 run
A1 in N. Macedonia
A1 in N. Macedonia is a scam. We bought two routers (bcs. the signal is so week and I didn‘t find a repeater) and an extra SIM for an old iPhone to be used as router as well. Signal still weak - so we were invited to go to A1 and receive new routers, which we did. One of the „new“ routers was an used device, and the contracts we received contained not the SN numbers of our routers, i.e. we might be paying for the cousin of the „expert“ in the shop. Went back to replace the defunct router, argued with a very nasty arrogant male and finally got another device and they promised to cancel the contract - which we can‘t verify. Back home after 2 hrs - the other „new“ router doesn‘t work. Now it is 3 days that it doesn‘t work, support says „switch on/of and clean the SIM card“ and then „we‘ll call you“. Nobody called till 26 Mar 25 of course. I tried again, insisting to speak to someone in English, and 2 hours later I got a call telling me to go to a A1 office and exchange the router, which didn‘t make sense, since the router was functioning. I did this and I got a new router. Back home, the until then functioning router blinked red. Back to the office (my taxi bill is now higher than the monthly fees for A1) and showed the document according to which they have switched on the new (5th) router, but switched off the functioning one.
To summarize: A1 kept exchanging my functioning routers instead of simply fixing a mistake in my records that THEY made. This is why A1 is so expensive.
I was wise enough to make a prepaid contract, so I‘m not going to extend and will „only“ loose less than 50€ and will try to find another provider.
The biggest scammers in all of…
The biggest scammers in all of Bulgaria, even worse than Millennium. Tried to lie saying we used a home phone to call vivacom for 6 hours everyday for a span of 2 weeks, when the phone was never removed from its box. Also charged me for two separate wifi boxes when I asked for one. Signed a 70 bgn contract and they tried to make me pay 120 bgn, after which they said they would ‘investigate the issue’ GO TO VIVACOM
Worst Bulgarian operator they have…
Worst Bulgarian operator they have signal only in Sofia other major city you barely have any signal even if you’re with 5g max signal is 2
So far so good.
A1 mobile operator in Bulgaria is the most incorrect operator
I recently re-signed my contract with A1 bg. and returning to Great Britain I was unpleasantly surprised, the only option for roaming is Revolut for BGN 5 per day. How is a contract re-signed? in a store of a1 in a metropolitan mall they kindly tell you that the standard a are the same as before at a cheaper price and invite you electronically to put a few signatures without having access to content. Then they send you a contract by email that is encrypted and you can't open it. I have been their customer for more than 20 years, I called to ask what this was and they most brazenly explained to me that as soon as I signed the contract that was it. I do not recommend anyone to become a1's customer.
They can not cancel the contact and…
They can not cancel the contact and want to bill you for the rest of our life. A1 is a racketeering internet company. I told over the phone many times I want to cancel contact, and they tell me I have to go to their office with ID. I have stopped paying them. SCAM Company don't use A1.
BEWARE HIDDEN SCAMS
My mother used A1 SIM card during her recent 5-month travel in Serbia. The price was reasonable and she had decent coverage. However, I am leaving a 1 star review because A1 charged my mother for something they call “Travel Insurance”. My mother closed the contract while still in Belgrade, Serbia and informed the sales associate that she will not need the SIM card or Travellers Insurance since she will be going back home to Canada. She was assured by the sales associate that the contract was closed and that she only needs to pay the amount owing. Her phone was on airplane mode while travelling and I helped her remove the SIM card from the phone the day she arrived back to Toronto, Canada on September 8th. About a month later A1 sent a bill with the remaining amount she was owing and they somehow added over $200 worth of “Travellers Insurance” for a SIM card that was not in use. My mom is an elderly person on a fixed income and when we tried to speak to the customer service representative via our friend in Serbia, they would not talk with us over the phone. They insisted on using email. After several messages they told us that A1 sent a message informing my mother she will be charged for using the SIM card outside of Serbia. My mom did not see this message until she landed in Canada and the SIM card was removed two hours later. I would even understand if A1 charged my mother for that 1 day. Instead they charged her for over a month. Today I physically destroyed the SIM card. I’m sure my mother is not the first person to be scammed in this way. However, by posting this, I hope she will be the last.
scammers and liers
scammers, liers and incompetent!
I had to pay 120 BGN deposit and was told that already after the first month, the monthly payment of 27 BGN will be taken from my Deposit. First month i had a payment of 67 BGN and nobody told me that there will be additional activation costs. My fault that i did not take a lawyer with me to read the contract in bulgarian language and instead believed the nice girl in the A1 Shop. Got the Invoice for the second month and paid 27 BGN. Went to the shop and asked, why the amount was not paid from my deposit, as you told me? She excused and told me that she made a mistake and i have to pay 3 months, after this i it will be deducted from my Deposit. After the 4 th payment i again had to drive to Gabrovo to the A1 Shop because its not possible to write A1 with the Bot and also the A1 App is not in english. In VT nobody speak english and had to leave twice without help. 25km to Gabrovo again and she told me without any explanation that "sorry, next month you will not pay, it will be deducted from your Deposit". Today i paid my 6th monthly payment. Where my deposit is gone and why i always get lied? I also need always an Invoice for my company. Send the invoice from the App to my email does not work. I am really pissed and can not recommand this company! My client Number: M7293135
additional i have to mention, that after 2 or 3 weeks the internet went very bad and slow, even not 1 Mbit Upload and had to cancel Appointments, Lessons, and lost a lot of money. They dont care and it took weeks that internet again worked fine, meanwhile i had to install an other internet and now i have to pay for 2! I am really angry and they just take my nervs, time and money!
A1 is a SCAM
I’ve had a terrible experience with A1’s billing and customer service. After moving out and providing clear evidence of my relocation, they continue to send charges with no explanation. I was originally told I’d need to pay less than €100 for a cancellation fee (which was never mentioned before), but instead, they’ve invoiced me €300 without any justification. Despite reaching out multiple times, I’ve gotten no response.
At this point, I’m starting to think this is how they make money—scamming people by misleading them, and even adding random charges. This entire process has been frustrating and unprofessional. DO NOT USE A1!!!
I see here many hateful reviews and I…
I see here many hateful reviews and I feel the authors’ pain. This is total crap but not a company. They don’t answer my requests not in application nor by phone, I was just hanging and waiting for 20 minutes and no success. The reason was I lost my internet connection and tried to call them for 4 days. I had to go a couple of km to a store to ask for someone to come to me to repair it. A guy came and did something with the main router at the Gfloor. Saying the internet is Ok he refused to check it at my apartment and he’s gone. I went up stairs and face the same problem, internet was out of order. Again no one answered my by phone and I had to go to the store. I was 5th day of my internet absence. I just realised if I have any small problem with internet I would waste a week and walking kilometres to the store to beg for the help. And I pay money for this humiliating. No way. I terminated the contract and pay the penalty (100 eur) and hopped to the vivacom. Those guys at least answer the phone. Never again A1. Even if I would be in other countries where they have offices I will walk them away. They are worthless piece of crap that stealing your money.
The store does gun sales
The store does gun sales and tries to sell you all kinds of crap you don't need as well as extending all your current contracts, left the store with a really bad experience!
Stay far away and use another telecommunications company where the customer is the focus and not the telecommunications company!
DO NOT EVEN THINK OF DOING IT
I cannot describe why and how they refused to cancel our subscription. Not only they got mad when we contacted the authorities for user consumption and told us we weren't allowed, as far as I know, I can sue them FOR THE 150 DOLLAR BILLS (300BGN) OUT OF THIN AIR. AND FOR NOT COMPLYING WITH MY REQUEST TO SHUT DOWN THE PHONE NUMBER TO SWITCH TO ANOTHER OPERATOR. DO IT IF YOU WANT TO GEG INTO LEGAL ACTION AND TO SUE THEM.
Easily the worst company ever
Easily the worst company ever. Very complicated paperwork, billing is very different from what you're told and their roaming charges! €10 for 1mb in Serbia. Daylight robbery.
And to active your "included" roaming allowance in the EU, you need to set up credit first.... Go figure.

Crooks and Liars
One year ago were told in one of their Plovdiv offices that the A1 online TV boxes are ok to be used in UK . A few weeks later our nightmare began. After about twenty phone calls and three weeks were told that their boxes can't work in UK at all and very " generously " were offered the contract to be cancelled ..... but only contract holder ( No one else ) needs to bring the boxes back in there office.
EVEN AFTER ALL THIS WAS CAUSED BY THEMSELVES
So we've been paying for a year for something we never use.
We came back to Bulgaria few weeks back and went to their office to bring the boxes in person and we told.... WE NEED TO GIVE THEM A MONTH OF NOTICE TO CANCEL THE CONTRACT
They authorise the cancellation an year ago and even so we needed to give them a month of notice.
I have never heard of something more stupid nasty and horrible i regards of such a services.
This are horrible people with no sense of shame or humanity what so ever.
Internet service offered by A1
The worst internet provider in Bulgaria. They promise high-quality services in their contracts, but fail to deliver in reality.

My girlfriend changed her address and requested to have the devices installed on the new location. Offered to upgrade the plan from 300 Mbps to 600 Mbps and after a visit about a week later, the technicians said they can't install more than 300 so they reported the issue and waited a week more for the second team to say the same thing and refused to leave it connected despite being limited to 300 Mbps, not even that but refused to do the wiring even. In the office they said it will take a day or two to fix it to the old contract and after a few days when we went there the colleague of this person says she can't see such request and can't downgrade it then spoke with her manager after I insisted and said she will speak with someone else and will fix the contract in up to a week and once it's done, they will send us technicians again in up to a week. 1 Month of time to install internet and television while you are paying for it. Can you imagine this...
