Booked through their online website and paid immediately. I got 3 missed calls from them but no voicemail. I called back to see why they were trying to contact me and nobody knew. They confirmed my booking. Taxi didn't turn up so I phoned them to ask where it was. Got told they tried phoning me everyday (3 times in 2 and a half weeks is not everyday), had emailed me and refunded me because the journey should have been double the price I paid. I did not receive any email, voicemail, refund or communication to tell me they had cancelled my booking and so was left stranded 30 mins before I was meant to be at a wedding. Very unreliable and rude - will not use again! Conveniently received a refund that evening.

Prompt service even during rush hour, very clean vehicle and professional driver. A1 hasn't disappointed me in all the years I've used them.

Shocking. Where do I start...

Prebooked 3 taxis, all of which I had text confirmations of with the times and addresses.

First taxi arrived 1 hour late because of train strikes, we then missed the first part of our event.

Second taxi was booked for 10pm, they claimed it was booked for 10.30pm so arrived late. Bad enough. We were quoted £45 but they tried to charge £80 in the taxi, then brought it down to £70.

Third taxi was booked for 11.30pm. Had a text message at 11.30 to say they had arrived, we were outside 2 minutes later to find no taxi there. Called the taxi company who say there is no record of an 11.30pm booking and there's nothing they can do. Completely left us stranded, no other taxis available from any local company. Complete nightmare.

THEN, I get a phone call two nights later with one of the taxi drivers shouting at me down the phone saying "WHERE ARE YOU" numerous times before hanging up on me.

Absolutely shocking, avoid avoid avoid.

Pre booked a minibus for 18:30 to be at an event for 19:00 we had to chase the company numerous times who then offered to send 2 cars in 15m. 30 minutes after this we chased them again and told us the car would be there in 5m. The original minibus arrived at 19:45 maxing us over 1h and 15m for our event.

Just got a taxi from Martins Heron station to home (2 miles) and they charged £16 ……..This is an absolute rip off and will NEVER use them again and NEVER recommend them……This fare has always been £6.50!!!!

My husband booked a Taxi to take him to Heatherwood hospital outpatients. He has recently had a back operation and cannot walk far. the taxi driver dropped him off at the 'old' Heatherwood entrance the hospital which is in the process of being demolished and drove away before my husband could stop him. there is no quick way to walk to get to the new hospital so my husband rang the taxi firm asking them to collect him and take him to the correct entrance. they had the cheek to ask for an additional £7.00 on top of the £18.00 from Bracknell disgusting service. this is not what is expected from a taxi service. this hospital has been open since March so there is no excuse.

DO NOT USE this taxi company. Absolutely unreliable. I used them on number of occasions and despite the fact you booked them in advance to pick you up from the airport or for short / longer journey they come late. I always say that everyone should have second chance, but this company let me down number of times with such excuses; that 6-person taxi takes longer to get to the airport or that baggage takes 1 1/2 h to collect (despite the fact that I was already front of the airport at agreed time). Obviously, they will give you additional excuses like manager is not around when you ask for discount for late arrival. Use someone else who will treat you as valuable customer, for example Uber who is cheaper and more reliable.

Great service. Booked a taxi for my dad from the airport & they delivered the service that I was looking for. Cheap and professional. They even helped out my old man.

Used this taxi company last week whilst staying in area for Royal Ascot. They were brilliant- turned up on time and communication for pick up after the races was great. They were also able to help out with a passenger whose phone had run out of charge and she had lost her friends at the last minute and I called them and they took her home. Fares were a little higher which fair enough was no doubt due to it being Royal Ascot and you have to factor that in but they were not as expensive as some of the other firms I called and their service was excellent. Highly recommend.

Booked on Bank holiday Monday to go from Green man pub to town centre £10 oh well it’s BH rates
But return for exact same journey despite a quote of £8 was charged £12 yikes
That’s inflation for you.

Flight from Spain delayed by 3 hours, in at 3am instead of midnight. No problem for the driver, Omar, who was so kind and helpful when we arrived very tired. (10/4/22)
It was also the best price by far.

Every single driver I have met have all been so pleasant and polite I honestly wouldn't use any other company there prices are more than fair and reasonable, I would recommend these guys all day long

Avoid at all costs. Website implies quality vehicles and flight tracking, it's all a lie. Driver was nearly an hour late in a filthy, clapped out VW transporter that had a problem with its starter motor so wouldn't start properly. He was rude, made nothing but excuses. When he rang to say he was at the airport he was clearly still driving and was a further 10 minutes before we saw him, so obviously not actually at the airport. Just avoid them.

No covid precautions, rude driver.
I had a restaurant booked so pre booked a cab leaving 45 mins for a 25 minute journey so we’d definitely be on time. The driver arrived 20 minutes late with no apology, then when we got to Reading, he kept going to wrong way making us even more late for our booking and then told us that he should have stayed at home today as if it was our fault.
Worst part of it is that he wasn’t wearing a mask even though we all did as per the rules.
I contacted A1 cars to complain but was ignored. They don’t care about covid or customer service, they made us late and made no effort to apologise for any of it - avoid at all costs

This was my experience 2 years ago and I realised I didn't post a review on this site as I am still appalled with my expereince. I was in Bracknell for the first and only time for work and planned to go straight back to London that same day. This is a copy and paste from my google review:

Yesterday I booked a taxi and let them know in advance that I had to catch the last train back to London and they confirmed that the driver would arrive inearly.

When I located the driver, I opened the door to tell him my name and he started to drive away, I thought maybe he was confused and so I called him and in front of me he declined the call and continued to drive. I followed him all the way down the street until I could go no further.

I was neither late, drunk or belligerent as I was coming home after a long day at work. I missed the last train back to London, was stranded and had to find a hotel room. As soon as this man saw me he drove away and I know its because I am black. I called up the company and they offered no apology or even compensation for train ticket or the Uber I had to pay for in the morning.

My Uber driver was spectacular and let me know never again to use your services and order an Uber as this is normal behaviour.

I have only just returned to London, absolutely disgusting and RACIST!

Today I had a taxi ride with a driver called Chris in a blue Skoda: his service was impeccable, great chat and made my journey enjoyable and had a laugh all throughout. Chris is a credit to the company and hope to see him again soon

The person in the office was polite and helpful, and the requested taxi arrived on time. The taxi, a lovely spacious Mercedes, was immaculate and the driver Charlie was polite and friendly. I cannot fault the service. I will definitely use them again.

Booked a taxi from a horrendous shopping trip! The driver was there promptly, very helpful, and the price was the best!

The driver turned up 35 minutes late even though my partner rang two hours in advance so they had a lot of time to organise it and it meant I was late to my meetings. I spoke to the owner of the company and he was rude, did not listen, and wasn't even apologetic. The driver wasn't much better being 35 minutes late then refusing to drive me to all the destinations I had asked for and said I would pay for even even after the awful service. The owner told the driver to just leave me in Windsor which he did even though he knew I had no phone and I couldn't ring a taxi and would therefore would also be late for my next meeting. After asking numerous times to ring the owner of the company so I could get to my next destination the driver said no and then I had a panic attack which he didnt even care about and just left me stranded in Windsor on a Thursday morning. I am a 23 year old girl and this is just not ok to leave someone stranded.
