poor software, I got wrong calculation, no customer support. I was blamed for the software error!

Paid but unable to submit to HMRC due to the bug in the their system.

The software has glitches, data entered on screen does not transform to pdf and submission. Support said "it is not important" and refuse to accept the shortcomings of the software and issue a refund. will look for an alternative next year.

Pretty sure this is a scam. Only after paying do they tell you they cannot submit to HMRC because of invalid details, despite all details being correct.

DO NOT USE THIS SHOWER! Software is extremely poor. Support chat line just leaves you half way through a conversation. Their phone number simply does not exist. I lost one of my three tokens for submitting an ammended submission (I only changed the date on the signature) and there is no indication that an ammended submission would be charged in this way. This is a scam because when submitting your self assessment on the UK.GOV site, there is no charge at all. Very, very poor service and I will take my business elswhere next year. (I expect they will be out of business by then in any case!)

Lots of issues: clunky process, no place to enter country of residence, required completion of the whole form before the payment prompt, following which I was randomly logged out. Unlike other software, amendments are charged at the same cost as a new return; this is not made clear upfront. The phone number stated on their website is disconnected, and the online chat function said "estimated wait time 1 minute" for 15 minutes. Once connected, the operative said amendments are billed like a new submission because the HMRC treats amendments this way, but that is not correct (I could amend my return by contacting HMRC direct). Will not use again.

Didn't work and no support. Do not waste your time and money. HRMC should not be recommending this company.

Unfortunately I cannot give zero stars. We simply wanted to submit our Form SA800 Partnership Tax return to HMRC but after over a week of trying to do this with aaafiler and finding out the phone number on their web site is no longer functioning and their supposed online chat doesn't always work we were finally told that their software can't cope with anyone having an HMRC password which is more than 12 characters long. Their solution for this was for us to change our password to accommodate their system shortcomings. We have asked (several times) for a refund and have just received an email saying it is our responsibility to ensure our details are correct - completely ignoring what even their own chat agent has stated to us that it is their own software's shortcomings which have caused the problem. The company appears to admit no responsibility for its errors and I am sure I will have a battle on my hands to get our money back.

The software does not work for people without government id which you can have only if you hold a UK driving license. Foreigin nationals would not have that and they will login via the Government Gateay instead.
There is other software out there such as GoTaxSimple which allows you to file with their account.
The worst of all was when I was told that they will not return me the money eventhough I cannot use their software. They did promise to move it as credit for next year though. However, I next year situation will be the same and I will not be able to use it again.
