Module 12(a) was a good review of the auditing process and happened to fall just a couple months before the next internal audit - so perfect timing. The content was well laid out and easy to follow. T... See more

Our company has been working with the AASP and the COR certification program for almost 10 years now. Their auditors are excellent, their courses are engaging and educational, and their staff are quick to respond when you need them. Highly recommend

Internal Auditor Class was a good course. The instructor was knowledgeable and passed on alot of good information. I did find the course long winded and repetitive. I also would have liked there to be alot more hands on and alot less instruction.

Even though it was a jam packed class with lots of information to retain, I felt like I went in to the test knowing what I needed to know and didn't feel overwhelmed. The instructor was great as well! She explained everything, didn't make you feel silly and really made you feel supported by the AASP.

AASP is quick and professional in all my interactions throughout the year. I know the people there by name, it isn't a new person every couple of months. I like that consistency and familiarity.

Module 12- Lynn was a professional, knowledgeable and approachable instructor. He made sure the course content was understood by everyone before moving on. I learned a lot about the audit process as well as the reasons behind the sequence of events. I really appreciated Lynn’s real-world examples of how to apply certain strategies and principles.
The software was intuitive and easy to use and the resources provided were useful throughout the course and will be good to refer to in the future.

Lynn Roberts was an excellent instructor. He used humor to keep the class engaged, and provided great examples and case studies. He was well spoken and provided ample opportunities for questions and class discussion while still ensuring adequate material was covered each day.

This review is in regard to the Legislation course (module 2). The module workbook did not match the course and the whole thing was very difficult to follow. The exercises in the legislation sections have questions of which the answer cannot be found in that component of legislation. In addition, there is conflicting information in this and the JHSC course as in the JHSC course we were told there is not a minimum or maximum amount of time that a committee member can be on it for but in this course, it said that there is a minimum of 1 year. Finally, the quiz asked a couple of things that weren't covered in the course and I have no means of evaluating the exercises to see if I did them right.
Our recent COR audit that was done by Tony of Worksafe Management was excellent. His communication with our staff and myself was clear, professional and timely. This is our second time using Tony for our COR audit and will do so again in the future.

I took their course: the Guide to Develop an OHSMS , and it exceeded my expectations. The content was clear, practical, and directly applicable to real-world safety management. It provided a solid foundation for building or improving an Occupational Health and Safety Management System, with tools and templates that are actually useful.
The course was well-organized, the instructor was patient and knowledgeable. Also the pace was great for both beginners and those with experience in safety. I especially appreciated how it broke down the core elements of an OHSMS into manageable, actionable steps aligned with Alberta OH&S legislation.
Highly recommend this course for anyone responsible for workplace safety or aiming to achieve COR/SECOR certification. AASP continues to be a trusted and reliable resource for safety education!
