Mike is a real people person, we couldn’t catch him out with any questions he didn’t know the answer too over a 5 days intense course, and the open discussions we had over various subjects really bought our course into a real world context.

The course was delivered in a very thorough, clear manner by an extremely capable and knowledgeable trainer. I found the course to be both interesting and of course valuable in terms of updating my existing first aid skills along with the additional defibrillator and catastrophic bleed training given. Most excellent.

The training was excellent and we will be contacting Abacus when we need training again.

Great First Aid course delivered by Abacus's instructor, especially the training on the us of AED.
Practical, relevant down to earth training, delivered via Powerpoint style presentation, group discussion and practical work.

Mike is a friendly and knowledgeable trainer who has been running First-Aid courses for Scout Leaders in our District for many years. He keeps himself up-to-date and makes the courses interesting with various anecdotes. His knowledge of the various do's and dont's in a Scouting environment is particularly useful.

I had not attended a first aid course before and found this one extremely informative and detailed, the presenter was most friendly making some parts humorous but also made sure we understood the seriousness of the subject. Fully recommended.
