Amazing food

Yesterday I thought it would be nice to get some Spanish food for my husband (it is his birthday today). I contacted Carmen, the owner, and she moved heaven and earth to help me. We got a selection of tapas that took me and mine back to Spain!! It is so hard to find this kind of food and at a very sensible price!!! We had tortilla (which we devoured!), croquetas de jamon (OMG), pisto (yummy), pimientos del piquillo filled with cod (just like my mum's) and a wonderful squid!!! She even put some torrijas in the bag!!! THANK you, Carmen!!!! I wish your business will succeed because you oh so deserve it!!!!

Restaurant quality with the convenience of a takeaway

We received this three course meal promptly and all was as planned. The food is in foil containers with the original menu and instructions. It really was as simple as turning on the oven and reheating so perfect for the non cook! There is also a playlist to access and this added to the feel of something special (Spanish music and covers) and made me feel as if I was in a restaurant!
The starter (Serrano ham croquette) had a beautiful texture and really gave a taster of what what was to come. We had cod for main as my husband loves fish, but I am not such a fan and was a little apprehensive. However it was beautifully flavoured and the potatoes and peppers that went alongside were out of this world! There were also green beans and the portion sizes were generous.
The dessert was an almond cake which had a lovely flavour, not too strong and perfect with coffee. It might have been nice to have a recommendation or option for wine but I think this may be available in the future.
As my husband commented, the convenience of take away with the quality of a restaurant - would highly recommend this not only in lockdown but as a viable alternative to a meal out. Perfect price point at £25 per person, more than happy to pay that price for a three course meal of this quality.
