Abbott Libre sensor rep sakura from Morocco was brilliant!!! Just brilliant

I have started to use abbot Libre sensor 2 recently I find it brilliant for my diabetes. Unfortunately my senor came out and I had a very serious hypo. The follow day I called the Irish abbot company and was put through to a beautiful kind hearted lady from Morocco on the 5/10/24 her name was Sakura. Her English was absolutely brilliant she explained they would replace the sensor with out charge as my chemist also alerted them to this. She encouraged me to also sign up to the abbot website and not just the downloaded app. She spent time explaining it all to me which was in more detail that my diabetes nurse in the hospital. I’m having a slight issue again with the sensor but I am sure it will be solved in the morning I do wish abbot Libre sensor 2 contact thritboffice in Morocco and commend this lady and her knowledge time and understanding . I had a problem and she found the solution. Thank you very very much Sakura in Morocco you work with us here in ireland and Uk I am so confident going forward. But I do wish the company would give chronic type two diabetes it on our medical cards as it’s cost me 115 euro every 14 day and it hard to live on disability. However please give that girl a raise. She put a smile in my heart on Saturday 5/20/2024

With much thanks sn appreciation

Abbott Labs FreeStyle Libre2 Products

I have used Abbott Labs FreeStyle sensors and monitors for more than 10 years; I now use the FreeStyle Libre 2 sensors. I've had faulty sensors from time-to-time, but Abbott always replaces them without charge. Their online form is easy to use for a replacement, and their customer service phone reps are always friendly, efficient, and a pleasure to work with, most recently Isabella. I recommend their products and customer care without reservation.

Excellent product and reliable, life changing

Excellent product and reliable, yes occasionally you may get a faulty sensor big deal they even send replacements free of charge, support is brilliant.

In terms of diabetes control used correctly and linked to your diabetes specialist it's a brilliant solution and in strenuous activities it alerts you allowing freedom to run your life as you want to.

Nighttime hypos have never been a problem for me, but the features low and high alarms work to notify you at what ever levels YOU deside are correct for your body.

Android phones or Apple can also be set to sleep mode, you just need to alter the app settings on your phone to allow Freestyle app to work 24/7 etc.

In all, a life changing solution for diabetics its outstanding.
Personally type 1 for over 45years take it from me A1c at 40% 5.8, rest assured it works. If you can't get things correct keep asking its well worth the effort getting to grips with the Libre solution.

Abott Lingo Biosensor

Abott Lingo
biosensor is a big mistake I have ever done ! Do Not Buy! Do Not Believe in Stupidity! Their app crashed after 2 weeks and customer service could not help! One you download their new app, Best of Luck, it will keep syncing your data for days, you won’t be able to see your own glucose levels , so all in all is a waste of money!

Awful customer service OMAR

Awful customer service, very nosey unhelpful and damn right rude. Even aftercare the service is no better including from OMAR.
Put onto Libre Freestyle by local hospital great i thought takes out all the worrying of self testing. Bloody alarm goes off at 3.9 or 10mmol on the app. Self test and my readings are well within the rangers set.
Managed to ask for a reader as using the products and eventually they agreed to send myself on. Had it three weeks now.... Again like the app gives false readings, also have to put in charge every day as it never lasts! You can't change batteries either.

Back to ABBOTT, i contacted with concerns and get a response asking:

1) Was the reader dropped or exposed to moister?

2) Any additional information which may be of importance

3) Is the faulty reader available for return? (Please do not discard faulty hardware until contacting Customer Care and receiving confirmation whether it should be returned for evaluation.)

4) Was medical attention, loss of consciousness, or seizure (e.g. were the paramedics called)?

5) If our troubleshooting provides a replacement device being sent, please confirm your phone contact number.

To me alot of BS, ABBOTT just trying to cover their ass of liability

I've spent all weekend awaiting a response yet no offer of a replacement reader. Email on monday asking the samething from OMAR. Either the prxxt doesnt understand English or just acting the fool. So again i gave the answers and again its a waiting game.

Just been with ACCU-CHEK For my diabetes testings and consumables couldn't fault them quick response, fast replacement sadly the mobile reader i had is no longer produced. Pity they don't do similar to ABBOTT but if they do im certainly going back to them.

Finally the libre freestyle you get alot of waste, especially with the sensors, alot of single use plastic in a big sized box.

Not a very green viewed company!

Would i recommend ABBOTT?

WOULD I HELL!!!!

Pet owners BEWARE!!

08/23/24 -Update

Just as I'd expected, the supervisor never called back. I found email addresses for 2 of their company's PR reps, Katie Walker and Lindsy Delco. I emailed both, and Katie responded and requested my contact information so she could escalate, however, after having provided it, I never heard from her again.
Needless to say, but not surprised, very poor representation of Abbott Labs.
Abbott, thanks for your lack of compassion, and moral interpretude.

Pet owners BEWARE!!
Last week, my Yorkie became seriously ill and I took him to his Vet. Blood test results revealed diabetes with an extremely high Glucose read. He started my dog on insulin and prescribed the Freestyle3 so he could monitor every few hrs. and, if necessary, adjust the insulin.
The Vet successfully installed and tested the monitor, and it provided readings for 7 hours then failed. After researching, The Vet then prescribed the Freestyle 2 as the #3 was found to have recall issues with certain lots. The freestyle 2 was installed the next day, and worked fine until later that eve. Shortly after failing to work, the Vet texted that he could not obtain a reading. 2 hours after that, my dog seized and expired.
I contacted Freestyle and explained the situation, and they responded that because it's an animal, they won't refund. The gum-smacking representative was extremely insensitive and unprofessional. Abbott is only concerned about how deep they can reach into one's pockets rather than the customer experience.
I asked to speak with a supervisor, and after waiting on hold for several minutes, the representative advised that the supervisor staff was made aware but very busy and would call me back.
I will update with the outcome if, and when the call occurs.

Free Style Libre 2 Sensors

I use their Free Style Libre 2 and regularly have received faulty sensors. I spend hours on the phone advising of the defective sensors and get know where. Its made difficult to get hold of anyone and they will not acknowledge they have faulty products they are selling. Abbot are playing with your heath and its far too frustrating to get them to replace the faulty sensor each time. Its not a one off event . I have had numerous defective sensors delivered. Today I reported another faulty sensor, spent hours on the phone, they made me delete their App and reinstall saying it was a App issue. In reinstalling the app I lost all my records for 90 days. Then they said yes its the sensor and we will send you a replacement in 10 days. So what do I do in the mean time to monitor sugar levels. They do not care. WARNING use another company. Its not the first time this has happened. 1 in 6 sensors fail and they do nothing. I am at the point I will lodge a complaint with the Therapeutic Goods Authority in Australia and Consumer Affairs. I will also now find another company who manufactures glucose sensors AND YOU SHOULD DO THE SAME. If I could give them a zero I would. DO NOT USE ABBOT FOR ANYTHING, THEY DONT CAR AND CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST YOU WILL EVER COME ACROSS. Customer care is based overseas in Kula Lumpur so its hard to understand and communicate. Its not the first time and I have had enough of Abbot. They seem to deliberately make it difficult to contact them and get resolution. They say they will call back that day. It does not happen and 50% of the time they don't call back at all.

Great Customer Service

I use the Freestyle Libre Glucose monitor. Several times the sensors have failed, either ceasing to work after a slight bump or coming off my body. Abott has replaced the sensors no questions asked.

If every company gave the kind of customer service I have received from Abbott there would be no need for sites like TrustPilot.

DO NOT EVER AGREE TO AN ABBOTT MEDICAL DEVICE

I had a spinal cord stimulator (SCS) put in. I had to meet with a “Rep” (I use the term loosely) later in order for her to set up and connect my ipod app with the SCS. It was a nightmare. She turned it as high as it would go as soon as she activated it which felt like I was hit by lightning. It was after I screamed that she told me and my husband that she had never done this before. I have to keep the SCS low because if I turn it up, immediately I feel like I am being hit by lightning in the same spot. Now it’s 4 years later, there is a malfunction with it and I am waiting for someone to call me back who can help me. It has been 2.5 days and still no response. I have called the Abbott number and they send messages to their Rep but I have not heard back from anyone. My message: DO NOT AGREE TO ANY MEDICAL DEVICE THAT IS MADE BY ABBOTT. YOU NEED TO ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE AGREEING TO A MEDICAL DEVICE BECAUSE AFTER IT IS PUT IN, YOU WILL BE ON YOUR OWN.

Setting up an account for the glucose…

Setting up an account for the glucose monitoring sensor is already a poor experience. The app is weak and not transparent, failing to allow changes to units to MG/dl, which is absolutely unacceptable. I ordered it from Amazon but will be returning this disappointment and will look for a different brand instead. Nothing about this sensor appeals to me compared to other options available in the market; this company is utterly failing. I'm extremely disappointed and hadn't even started using it. Had I known it was this inadequate, I would have never ordered it in the first place.

Abbot product support issues

I have been using the libre 2 glucose monitoring system. Have experienced 2 sensor failures. Abbott provides no feedback provision on their website. Why? God knows, the whole bsl monitoring system works online. Looks like they just don't want to know. Go Abbott - denial.

Libre 2 Sensor

Bought 3 Libre 2 sensors for over $300. First crapped out after 10 days (supposed to last 14 days). 3rd one keeps getting sensor errors.
Hardly reliable product.
Just got a reading of 21.7 after trying for 3 hours. Pinprick test showed 12.
I could have injected a lot of insulin if I believed the sensor reading - risking my life.

Always very wrong readings

I bought 2 libre sensors for glucose monitoring. I put the first one on and for the first week it gave me all wrong readings. When I took finger stick readings 10 mins before and then scanned the sensor as per Abbott's instructions my actual readings were so much higher than the sensor reading. In fact when the finger reading was 14.9 the sensor claimed 7.5. The graph showed that my levels never went up as high as 10.0. Ever! So even if I missed the ideal window to scan the sensor, the graph should have at least be accurate at some point but wasn't. At night the low alarms would wake me up but when I looked and tested via finger stick the sensor was claiming I was 3.0 - 3.2 several times through the night but finger sticks for each event showed I was 5.9 - 7.2.

I contacted Abbott to report that the sensor is always low and has not be correct a single time over 1st 6 days of its use. They responded quickly saying because it is a medical device they need me to provide specific info. They wanted photos of finger stick readings with the date and time showing. My device is an nhs one abd is accurate. It matches the one I bought on Amazon. So I know the finger sticks are correct. They also wanted the scan photos of the libre to compare results etc. They wanted batch numbers and numbers from both the rim of the sensor and under the sensor which meant removing the sensor. I didn't read all the info they wanted as I then had a new problem. I hadn't taken photos so I needed to gather what they needed but the sensor then wouldn't scan. It just kept saying unable to scan and try again in 10 minutes. All day it was doing that. So I contacted them again to show them a screen shot photo of this error happening that meant I can't provide the reading comparisons they have request.

The response came the same day from them, so they are quick to respond at least. But all the email said was basically the same as the last one. Stating that it is a medical device and as such they need xyz info and then the list. That wasn't very helpful at all. With that I took the sensor out of my arm and discarded of it, deleted the app and won't use the second one I have as I don't trust it. This could be dangerous for those who pin insulin based on readings. It means that you still have to do regular finger sticks anyway so defeats the purpose of having the sensor. The whole point is so you don't have to finger stick yourself regularly. Clearly this is a false claim.
