I have been using the sensor for over a year. The sensor read too low like 60 or 50 sometimes. I have went to a specialist for diabetics also and found out it is the sensor not me. That is scary went you think your level is too low and you don't feel anything. I'm going to switch to something new.

Customer Service????

I have had to call Abbot customer service 4 times. Each time the same thing. You keep repeating the question and the response is completely different then what your question was. About the 4th time of going thru this I say you are not getting what I’m saying. Then I get a reply that has nothing to do with my question. I usually just give up at that point. I was actually thinking of trying the freestyle Libre 3 but that won’t happen. I’m staying with Dexcom. No comparison in customer service.

Big fan of their CGM

Big fan of the CGM. More recently a big fan of the company itself for going above and beyond by replacing a unit that stopped working without hassle.

Horrible Overseas Out-Sourced Customer Support

This Abbott Diabetes Division is the worst company I’ve ever had to deal with. When you call customer support, you are directed to an overseas call center with reps having difficulty with English language, lack of knowledge and follow prompts to answer your questions. Takes forever to accomplish anything. It’s outrageous that a medical device manufacturer has such horrible customer service and lack of a US-based customer support call center.

If I can give them zero stars I would absolutely worst experience today. My sensor a couple of days ago malfunctioned and it happened readings below 50. I wasn’t actually below 50 when the sensor told me to take it off because it was malfunctioning. When I took my sensor off there was blood and bruising and now there is a lump underneath my skin on my arm. when I called to tell them what happened all they wanted to do was read me the manual I don’t wanna hear a freaking manual I wanna know why is there a lump underneath my arm. The supervisor wasn’t any better they asked me to return the sensor to them that’s all they want. There’s no concern about why I’ve developed a lump underneath my arm from their product. I will never use their product again

Absolutely horrible customer service

Absolutely horrible customer service, which for life-critical equipment is just a shame. Endless waiting in the info line, people that disconnect because they don't know how to answer your questions. Just a nightmare.

Abbott reader and sensor failed after exposure to body sweat while working in high humidity climate. Contacted Abbott for warranty. Abbott rejected warranty request. Requested Abbott suggest a method to protect units from humid environment. Abbott had no solutions. Do not purchase Abbott products. Try Dexcom.

14 day free trial.... yeah right

Went online to get the free 14 day trial sensor.
Followed all the steps , and thought I was done, but later in the day, I had been charged £48, already taken from my bank.
No option on their website to cancel, so ended up doing a live chat.
Still waiting for my refund.
There's no customer service here at all

Worst CGM on the market

To reiterate what just about everyone else has stated, avoid Libre 2 sensors at all costs. The device has an astronomically unacceptable failure rate. When it does work, the readings are inaccurate. To repeat: DO NOT RELY ON THIS DEVICE TO MAKE IMPORTANT TREATMENT DECISIONS! Easily the worst customer service on the planet (and that's saying something). Customer service reps barely speak rudimentary English, the phone line quality is hit-or-miss and cuts out most of the time. Whenever you call, they are more interested is collecting personal and marketing data than resolving your issue and usually just read from a script, obviously lacking a basic understanding of the device they are providing support for. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

customers death & products still arriving

Requested return of products and advised of recipients death, they refused, we were left to sell it on gumtree at a loss. They sent out another order today & despite much effort they refused to take it back. No follow up on death of customer's account, they will keep sending out products & do not cancel your account. Poor customer service asked to speak to supervisor said will call back within 2 days, no one to assist. As for the product sensors often failed to work only lasting 5 days. Profit ahead of everything.

I am a diabetic Abbott makes monitoring equipment and has done for years. Their new equipment SUCKS - difficult to use. It is hard enough to be a diabetic and Abbott must have come up with equipment that they can make more money. Who cares about the user? NOT ABBOTT

DON'T TRUST ABBOTT DEVICES.

Abbot's Freestyle Libre glucose meters work great....for a few months.

Then they regularly give incredibly inaccurate readings.
I'm talking off by more than a hundred points. For example, the meter will say my sugar is 200. I check it against several traditional finger stick meters, and it will be something like 58. If I listened to the meter, and took insulin at that point,

I COULD DIE.

This is the third meter in a row that has done this. I called Abbott to see how the issue might be resolved.
As soon as the rep realized I was calling with a complaint, she made any further progress, completely impossible.

She asked for my first name, and repeated it back correctly. She asked for my last name (5 letters long, very common, not at all hard to spell).

I spelled it out at least six times. There was a good phone connection, I spoke clearly, slowly, enunciating, and at an appropriate volume. Each time, she intentionally repeated it back terribly incorrectly.

I politely asked to speak to someone else. She said that was not possible.

REALLY?

I asked to speak to a supervisor, repeatedly. She put me on hold numerous times. After a long while, she came back on, and said that I could not speak to a supervisor, until she had my correct name.

Abbott OBVIOUSLY does not care about the health or well being of the people who rely on their faulty products. I have absolutely no doubt, that their devices are responsible for the death of at least a few of their users.

Their products are dangerous.
Their customer service is non-existent.

DO NOT TRUST YOUR LIFE TO THEIR DEVICES.

If you don't believe me, check out other people's reviews, on BBB, or elsewhere. You'll read stories almost identical to mine, about their products and there service, or rather, the lack there of.

Problem sensors, dreadful customer service.

Recently have had issues with the Freestyle Libre sensor, for the past three sensors. In each case, having navigated the multiple choice questionnaire helpline, I was advised to get a new sensor! Intimated that I had done something wrong with the sensor, and told there was nothing I could do. Surely, this is poor customer service. Might add, a bit of research indicates that in the UK, there is a 40% recorded failure rate of the sensors.

Absolutely the worst customer service…

Absolutely the worst customer service for a critical care issue like Diabetic blood monitoring.
Do not buy Freestyle Libre 2 product. It is incompatible with newer i phones???
I called to report a malfunctioning CGM and the rep asked me for a million pieces of data. She had no idea how the CGM works and could not bring up my file although I was a registered user.
WHY endocronoligist and pharmacies in Canada are promoting this product is criminal. It should be taken off the market NOW!

Libre 2 a few months…

Started using the Libre 2 a few months ago. Terrible charge life needs plugging in every night. I set the alarms at a low of 5 and a high of 12, continually woken at night for a low bg and then a high bg after a correction. System could be giving incorrect reading but not proven. The reader has now failed, occasionally splutters into life then dies. Diabetes specialist nurse trying to record the reader said they have a lot of problems with the readers. Avoided the phone app as no good reviews and suitable for only a few phones. Looking forward to ditching this system altogether.

Discrimination against disability

I travelled to the Netherlands from the UK. My Libre 2 sensor had only 10 days to go and I was going to be in the Netherlands for longer. I contacted Abbotts in the Netherlands to purchase a sensor. Truly disgraceful.

I was informed that the UK uses mg and therefore the Netherlands sensor would not work. This is not correct. The UK uses mmol/l just as in the Netherlands.

I was told that without a dutch mobile phone, I could not order a sensor. I was told that it was not possible to sell me a sensor.

The customer service representative Jolanda kept going backwards and forwards to a colleague and when I asked to speak directly to this colleague, I was informed it was not possible.

Any system that assumes that all people in the Netherlands must have a dutch phone is simply bad design. Any system that states that a diabetic cannot continue with a glucose monitoring system by reason of presence in the Netherlands is discriminatory.

The law requires all companies to take proactive measures to prevent discrimination by reason of disability.

Abbotts manufactures equipment for disabled persons. Abbots discriminates against diabetics visiting the Netherlands. This is illegal.

I have rarely seen so much incompetence, stupidity and discrimination in a single business process as I have seen today with Abbots Netherlands.

My jaded black consumer heart began to sink as I was shuffled from menu to menu in the CustServ q. Filtered through about 7 different options, and blacking out from boredom or a hypo, I wanted to complain that my expensive Libre2 blood glucose monitor had experienced an early death. Please Sir/Madam may I have a replacement?
Alas...Abbott was brooking no attempts at profit minimization. "More evidence is required", they insisted. We need to speak to your healthcare provider before we can issue a replacement. But you sold me a product that was allegedly faulty...
