Ableworld are the largest mobility retailer in the country and believe this is because we genuinely care about our customer’s well-being. We employ professional, caring and knowledgeable staff to work in our stores, and provide quality mobility aids at value for money prices.
We pride ourselves on being an ethical trader who will not pressure sell items and if we feel a product should have an assessment we will not sell these online, as we want to ensure our customers that they are getting the right product for their needs, not just the most expensive mobility aid.
Our stores stock all types of mobility aids, including Mobility Scooters, Walkers, Powerchairs, Bathing Aids and Stairlifts. You can be assured that in all of our stores we provide the same caring approach to looking after our customers, and the same range of quality mobility aids.

Needed a new scooter, the choice was fantastic and confusing. John who looked after us went out of His way to find out our needs and recommended a selection of scooters for My Wife to try. Service was fantastic and nothing was to much trouble

As a 25 year old disabled woman having to look into accessibility options, it can be incredibly daunting and embarrassing. Since so many still associate accessibility with old age. Zoe and Tracy went above and beyond to keep me comfortable, they were so friendly and helped ease my worries. They answered all of the questions I had(And believe me, I had many) and never once shamed me. They even took into consideration what my mobility issues are without me having to go into detail, for those that aren't as comfortable sharing such personal information(Though I did share a fair bit with them, of my own free will) to help decide on the correct items for me. It's the first time since all of my health issues came to a head at 12, that I truly felt welcome and at home, that people understood me and that my existence wasn't a burden, that I didn't have to be ashamed about something I was born with. Even the gentleman with the cool sunglasses(I didn't catch his name) who was driving the mobility scooters around had a laugh and a quick chat. Every member of staff went above and beyond. So thankful for this shop and the experience I had, I couldn't recommend them enough. They even explained how the VAT exemption worked, and the exemption helped so much. Especially for those who may not have much income, due to having to scrape by on disability benefits. Now I have a cool new glow in the dark walking stick, with a squishy handle that after testing multiple times in the store and at home I can already feel a difference. Next purchase will hopefully be a wheelchair or scooter once I have the funds saved!

Went for my first mobility scooter at the Stafford store.
John showed me a few and I had a go on them. I chose the one I wanted but he started to pressure sell me into having a more expensive one with full suspension that was too big for me. I felt a bit intimidated.
It says on their website that there is no pressure selling. So that’s not true.
Took it home but the next day, my husband realised that the serial number on the paper work did not match the serial number on the scooter, so we were concerned about the warranty and insurance. That’s so bad for a professional company.
Also, after thinking about it I was a bit cross that i wasn’t offered a new one. I was just given the display model. I didn’t think at the time but I test drove it and lots of others, so how many other people had too. I was even offered to test drive it outside. So realistically, when you buy anything from this company you aren’t getting a new one, and so many people could have used it. You don’t know how much use the battery has had either.
I took it back for a full refund. Went somewhere else yesterday and got a much better one for the same price. Full suspension but just the right size for me.
No pressure selling at all. It’s being delivered in a few days, brand new, boxed! That’s what it should be!

On first entering the Stafford branch of Ableworld, my husband and I were greeted in a friendly manor. The sales assistant asked what we were looking for, which was a mobility scooter for my husband. Having ascertained our requirements, the sales assistant was able to show us suitable scooters and alternatives. Having tested several, my husband made a choice. The assistant spent time showing us how to use and take apart and put back together the scooter. There was no pressure selling and the assistant was easy to talk to and ask questions. He even came to the car to see that I could dismantle the scooter. If you need any help at Ableworld Stafford, ask for John, a man who knows all about disability scooters.

After a short time looking at the mobility scooters we were greeted by an assistant named Tilly. She was absolutely brilliant. Answered all our questions, however stupid they may have sounded, showed us the correct scooters for our needs, did all the demonstrations required, allowed us to take the scooter apart and put it back together again a few times until we go it right. All this and more was done with a great big smile.

Really knowledgeable staff. John took his time explaining everything about mobility scooters.
He explained the differences between 4 types of scooter.. he was very patient. When we had decided which one to buy he took my husband and son through step by step how to dismantle it to put it in the car boot . And not just once but three times so they were comfortable knowing what to do. I can fully recommend the store and especially John for his help. Thankyou

Cannot recommend this company enough!
The staff at the Stafford store are amazing. I went in after being approved for finance for a mobility scooter. I first spoke to John who asked what/how far I would be using it for and showed me one that was more suited to my needs than the original one I picked out. I was then passed onto Zoe to finish the transaction, who is an absolute delight! Knowledgeable, polite and a downright lovely person. Even offered myself and my partner a hot drink when we went to collect due to the horrendous weather outside. All the staff love my chihuahua that goes everywhere with me so we now have to pop in constantly so he can have his loves and attention!
Well done Ableworld, your Stafford staff are a credit to your company.

Dad's wheelchair had suddenly developed a problem. We brought it in and deputy manager John managed to sort it out speedily and with good humour. We are very grateful! Thank you, John!

Visited the Stafford store with my Mom today. Looking for a walker. Excellent service from Jackie. Could not have been more helpful. And so patient. Mom was encouraged to try different ones before settling on one. It definitely felt like Jackie had Mom's interest at heart...that she walked well and felt confident. No pressure at all. 11/10 for sure. Thank you.

We had great help and assistance from Jackie in the Stafford store. We were purchasing a boot scooter for my husband which is needed for his bad days. We were given all the facts on the models we looked at and showed full assembly with a chance to see the chosen model fitting in our car. Nothing too much trouble a great staff member in a customer caring store
