Ableworld are the largest mobility retailer in the country and believe this is because we genuinely care about our customer’s well-being. We employ professional, caring and knowledgeable staff to work in our stores, and provide quality mobility aids at value for money prices.
We pride ourselves on being an ethical trader who will not pressure sell items and if we feel a product should have an assessment we will not sell these online, as we want to ensure our customers that they are getting the right product for their needs, not just the most expensive mobility aid.
Our stores stock all types of mobility aids, including Mobility Scooters, Walkers, Powerchairs, Bathing Aids and Stairlifts. You can be assured that in all of our stores we provide the same caring approach to looking after our customers, and the same range of quality mobility aids.

Ableworld stores do not stock batteries for Jolly Sport scooters which means they have to be ordered. They stock batteries for all the other scooters so why not Jolly Sport. This causes an inconvenience

We purchased my husband's Rascal Apollo Life mobility scooter from your Colchester branch. After a great deal of help and advice, also checking that I could disassemble and asessemble the scooter and that I could lift the parts. We did not feel pressurised at all and had it delivered next day, with another demonstration (very useful) unfortunately there was a very small problem, which was rectified the next working day. We are very pleased with the scooter and have enjoyed 4 trips out. Thank you to all who helped. Maureen and John Jackson.

Took my auntie in to purchase a scooter, the salesman told her it was 6mph, as she was very insistent that's what she wanted.
After delivery took it out and said it's very slow. So I googled it and it's only 4mph.
The guy has said he told her it was 4mph and there's no refunds, even though I was there and witnessed he said it. She mentioned many times she wanted 6mph and decent suspension. he specifically sais the road ones were 8mph, this was the best pavement one and 6mph and the smaller ones were 4mph.
She rang the shop and was told no refunds, rang main helpine and was told they would ring the shop on her behalf and then the original guy from Penarth Rd rang her back and wouldn't let her get a word in edgewise.
It's our word against his and they are sticking to it. So be warned, they are like shady car salesmen to get a sale and will lie through their teeth making it a he said she said situation which the customer can never win.
She rang the main line back and they said, nothing we can do, you can try doing a formal complaint but it will take months.

I would recommend Ableworld. Denise in the Newport store was very helpful and knowledgeable when purchasing a mobility rise and recline chair for my mum. The delivery men were excellent, explained everything to my mum about the remote and phoned to let us know when they were 30 minutes away. Ordering to delivery only took 2 weeks. Excellent service and good price

I would like to thank everyone for their support, we needed a riser recliner for my mum who is housebound with mobility issues, the staff in the Crewe store using my mums measurements helped us to source the best chair options, the team at Head office organised a delivery demo of two chairs to be done at our convenience, the drivers who brought them were so helpful and patient with mum and they gave us great guidance to help us make the right choice. From ordering to arrival the leadtime was amazing and the Deliveries team organised a next day delivery to my parents, mum is extremely pleased with her purchase of the Wrenbury Ultra Riser Recliner and she is now sitting comfortably. Thank you to everyone at Ableworld who helped make this whole process a happy experience

Thank you Nick you are a star that gave great help at a difficult time.

Delivery took longer than expected for online order. When shopping in store the assistants have always been helpful and friendly

The bag itself looks really nicely robust and roomy. However I had to wait quite a while with a delay as the retailer had to locate the bag from another branch. I wasn’t kept informed of this, and therefore found the service slightly unreliable, hence the four stars. But again, very pleased with the anvtu bag, and that I eventually received it alright.

Peter and Julie were very professional. They took a lot of time ensuring I bought the right mobility scooter to suit my needs. It is a few months now since I bought it and the one I chose has made my life so much better.

My mother needed to update her wheelchair and when we walked into the shop a lovely man called Peter came over to us and was so helpful. He looked at my mums old chair and said due to its age it was beginning to break so he got a nice new style wheelchair and showed us how it all worked and explained it very well , took his time and was extreamly patient and didn't do a hard sell like a lot of sales people do. I would deffinately recommend Ableworld for any disability piece of equipment .My mum has visited the shop and purchased all the things she has needed and is always impressed with the friendly service and good value for money. What can I say! Service and staff were wonderful. ! Made me feel at ease , as I was reluctant to purchase a mobility scooter ,due to my own vanity! There was no pressure selling ,which was another thing I was dreading! Chelsea was so knowledgeable , and patient !
I have already recommended this store to a friend!
Thankyou for making this experience so smooth!

It took 10 days to realise that payment has not been taken (something i was not aware of) and we needed the cushion for my dad who was coming out of hospital. He has now died.
Oh my goodness, as if I’ve got time to take this further. I am now dealing with the funeral and shall never use your services again

So helpful and efficient at getting my husband a rollator and showing him how to use it properly. Shout out for Sarah, who was very kind and patient.

Absolutely shocking rude person on the phone. My mobility scooter has stopped working I phoned the Darlington branch and got transferred to head office who said no need to speak to an assistant at Darlington which I did who said yes fine will book it in and someone from head office will ring back. I got a call from a rude gentleman who asked a few questions including the make and age of the scooter to then turned round and said no we will not take responsibility of looking at an old scooter incase something happens to it, when I said but it has already stopped working may only need a new battery he said no we dont fix that make of scooter and slammed the phone down. No other help given advice on what to do next. I am a disabled person who rely's on my scooter and have been left with no help and no scooter. Absolutely appalling especially when I got told yesterday that he had booked in to get it fixed only to be told rudely no.
