Ableworld are the largest mobility retailer in the country and believe this is because we genuinely care about our customer’s well-being. We employ professional, caring and knowledgeable staff to work in our stores, and provide quality mobility aids at value for money prices.
We pride ourselves on being an ethical trader who will not pressure sell items and if we feel a product should have an assessment we will not sell these online, as we want to ensure our customers that they are getting the right product for their needs, not just the most expensive mobility aid.
Our stores stock all types of mobility aids, including Mobility Scooters, Walkers, Powerchairs, Bathing Aids and Stairlifts. You can be assured that in all of our stores we provide the same caring approach to looking after our customers, and the same range of quality mobility aids.

Initially rang local store regarding whether or not scooter could be used when raining. Was given details of tiller cover which I then ordered on line. Order placed late morning and pleasantly surprised when cover was delivered the next morning
Well done, Service second to none!

My wife and i went to Shrewsbury branch today to look at purchasing a mobility scooter. We were very well looked after by Mark who showed us various scooters and my wife tried some out to see which one suited her needs. We are very happy with our scooter and im sure we will find it invaluable. Thank you again Mark for spending so much time with us to make sure we were happy with our purchase.

This was the first time I had to buy a riser chair and the people I spoke to couldn't have been more helpful, informative and reassuring - both in person and over the phone. The two guys who delivered it (Dave and Tom) really took their time to explain the functions of the chair - to my mum - who is suffering from Dementia and has mobility issues. They were so kind and ended up leaving the chair with her there and then- a very smooth transaction indeed. Would highly recommend.

Peter was a great help when we were looking for a wheelchair for my Mum. He asked what was important to us, he talked us through our options, and he gave us chance to try out different models, including in the boot for size. He was very professional, personable and knowledgeable. This is our second time purchasing from the Wigan store (stair lift last time) and we'll be back in future.

Ordered by phone, very friendly staff, Sarah was very helpful and arranged for the items to be delivered asap. I purchased two Ziggy adjustable walking sticks in a lovely gunmetal grey with Derby handles and I couldn’t be more pleased. The quality is excellent. Would definitely recommend this shop.

They are lovely to you when you buy the piece of crap they are selling you, but turn on you the moment you have a problem with it! If you get a problem with your item they will blame you for it and try to worm out of giving you any sort of proper help. They sold me a "pavement scooter," and then said that it constantly broke down because it went over little bumps in the pavement and the drop curbs! A pavement scooter should be able to handle a pavement! The customer service was shocking, I was called a liar. Then they said that as a "gesture of goodwill" they would send me some extra equipment to fix the battery down better, but they haven't even sent that yet. The whole thing caused my stress levels to go through the roof and now I am having a major flare up of my symptoms. If you purchase from these people, don't expect their help if anything goes wrong. The people who work in the shops are lovely though, so if you just needed some wipes or pads you would be fine

We were looking for a Mobility Scooter for my husband, and required one which would fit into the boot of our car. We went to the Shrewsbury Branch and met Mark who was very understanding and helpful. Listened to what we needed and suggested a couple of models for us to try. We decided on one which was easy to breakdown/ light weight and comfortable. Just the job. So bought put into the boot and off we went. No problem.

I had been looking for a particular powerchair and having great difficulty. An advert came up on facebook for Ableworld. I rang the Southampton shop and from the first contact Dene was brilliant. Than went to them and again could not fault the service. Highly recommended.

Needed a power chair with attendant control and our first stop was Ableworld St Helens where we have shopped before.
Sadly the range for attendant controlled was extremely limited but Chris showed us the model and was extremely patient with our questions and got a model in with the control for attendant on and we were able to try it out.
No hassle and no pressure and we left with my new power chair. Top marks Ableworld and Chris.
The bad weather and my health delayed us using it but finally used it and delighted how much easier it’s made both our lives.
It’s so light for hubby to lift in and out of car and easy to use.
Can’t wait for a real day out now.
Chris is a lady by the way 🤗
