Useless ABRACS HSS Titanium drill bits

Purchased an 8mm ABRACS HSS TITANIUM drill bit from Toolstation for a quick job on a friends gate, I only had to drill one 8mm deep hole through the mild steel frame but still drilled a 3mm pilot hole through and used a quality cutting fluid. I was fully expecting the new 8mm bit to easily do the job - but no, to my surprise it went in about 4mm and immediately blunted. Now as a retired marine and rail engineer I would like to warn others, that, as these drill bits from abracs costs just a few pounds – you only get what you pay for - and on this occasion (just a short length of useless golden coloured spiralled rod) be warned!!
