Small business owners uplift communities and anchor local economies, while creating opportunities for themselves, their families, their employees, and our neighborhoods. Yet small businesses who are underserved and/or low income often have challenges accessing capital and resources. In 2020, Accion Opportunity Fund was formed as Accion U.S. Network and Opportunity Fund came together. Accion Opportunity Fund is committed to advancing economic mobility for underserved small businesses and low-income communities through affordable financial services, knowledge resources, networks, and policy.

Quick approval and responsive customer service. After being rejected by two other companies (despite a 780+ credit score) it felt like someone believed in my dream, and now I have the tools to make it happen.

My experience with Accion was very easy and straightforward. A payee put us in a bind with a delayed payment on a huge order, and thankfully we are now able to handle it and bridge the gap. Even though I have been with my business for 11 years, I am only newly the owner, meaning I'm unable to qualify for a standard business line of credit. My bank referred me to Accion, and I am so grateful! Even thought I submitted my application just a few days before Christmas, I was able to pay my bills the first week of January. I am incredibly grateful for how fast the process happened!

Accion Opportunity Fund was a tremendous help to Milo Marketing Group during a critical growth phase. Their team was professional, responsive, and genuinely invested in helping small businesses succeed. The process was clear and supportive from start to finish, and the funding allowed us to move forward with confidence. I highly recommend Accion Opportunity Fund to any entrepreneur looking for reliable small business financing.

I wrote a glowing review yesterday based on the great service I received and fast funding. Today I get an email saying this loan, which was supposed to be a business loan, is now on my personal credit. That is not what I was told. I have plenty of business credit where I am a guarantor, and it does not show up on my personal credit. If I wanted a personal loan, I could've gone to any bank and gotten one for more than what ACCION gave me. Very disappointed because I had started referring them to other small business owners.

Gave me an offer for business credit, but hard-pulled my personal credit without telling me and said the loan would report to personal credit.

I recently paid off a loan from Accion. I authorized an ACH payment for the entire remaining balance out of my account. They ended up taking two payments instead of one. This caused my account to have insufficient funds to cover my obligations to my clients. I lost two of my main clients for being in violation of the terms of our contracts. I called Accion for help regarding the matter as soon as I realized what happened before I lost my clients. I explained to the them that I would be in danger of losing clients if this could not be resolved quickly. I was just told to wait for a refund and that it could take 2 weeks. I could not understand why the funds could not be put back into my account in the form of an ACH deposit just like the funds were deposited into my account when I initially received the loan funds. Especially since they saw and admitted that they made a huge mistake. Not only has my business and reputation been damaged but I am still without my funds
Accion is a classic bait and switch company that should be shut down by the CFPB.
Don't waste your time with such a pathetic excuse of a company. Unless you're a minority, I highly recommend looking elsewhere.
Shame on Lending Club for partnering with this sorry company.
Went to an actual bank, approved for triple the preapproved amount that Accion offered.
Accion provides excellent lending services unless you default. They will send over paperwork for another higher loan. If you sign it, you won't get the money, but it will go on your credit as if you did. Imagine only owing $4,000 but Accion says you owe $40,000. It's highly illegal. I suspect this is how some branches balance the books by defrauding the banks that lend the money and the small business owner. Be careful.
Beware of this Phony so-called company. Go on BBB and they are under this name ACCION however they have changed their name to DREAM SPRING lenders now office in New Mexico.. I have sent this so-called lender several emails regarding/ asking to cancel my PPP loan because I decided NOT to do business with them after reading SOooooooo many bad reviews. Well, I called the office and some young Hispanic-sounding young girl answer the phone saying she is only the receptionist. I have filed a case/ claim with my bank against this so-called Lender and my BANK will not be allowing them to take ANYTHING out of my acct. I have emailed them several times and received 1 email a week ago telling me to cancel through Womply well come to find out I can Not cancel through Womply because the loan is now with This bogus so-called bank. I am trying to send them their small $619.00 dollars back that they want to charge me 60-month terms for When hell freezes. I am and will be taking further actions against this so-called Accion/ Dream Spring
I own a small 2nd generation business in Chicago. We are celebrating our 50th anniversary this year. We were referred to Accion by our landlords, by our CPA and by 2 major banks here. Needless to say they were 1st on our list when I started shopping for cash.
After several voicemails and a call to another Banker, the Accion representative finally called me back. We had a brief conversation. He said he was in my area every Thursday and wanted to stop by. I said sure, let’s do it. Thursday went by and no call or contact with me was made. I followed up again. This time he said he was taking my file down to his boss and underwriting. He would get back with me that afternoon.
Still no answer when I called! Voicemails or emails went unanswered. Again I called the other a Banker and he gets right through to him with no problem. Finally after about 2-3 more days of calling I finally get through and he tells me he was off work and No his company considered me high risk.
I contacted American Express through another referral and they did everything professionally, quickly got approved and funded within 1 week! No phony stuff. Just business done right! Save yourself time. Don’t bother calling Accion they have no Action.
