I passed my driving test through acclaim, Gilbert Menken was my instructor he was amazing, supportive and explained everything in the clearest way possible what made it so easy to understand making it impossible to get things like manoeuvres wrong i couldn’t have asked for anyone better to take me all the way through from no experience to a confident driver i would definitely recommend acclaim to anyone especially booking in with Gilbert

I wouldn't recommend Zorhra as an instructor. I was with her for almost 1 year of lesson almost 1 lesson on a weekly basis…Although she started off well, I ultimately felt my money was wasted on lessons that didn't lead to taking my test. When the time came, she made excuses, which I believe stemmed from her lack of confidence in my ability to pass. I think it would have been better if she had been honest with me instead of making excuses. It seemed that her priority was maintaining her status and pass rate rather than genuinely teaching and supporting her students. A good teacher not only instructs but also provides honest feedback and acknowledges their students' capabilities.

While generally the teaching was effective throughout my driving lessons, I found the instructor to be unprofessional at times, encouraging political and religious conversations which made me uncomfortable. For example, complaining about immigrants in the city etc and expecting me to agree.
While I felt he was patient when I was learning a new skill, I found that mistakes on things I previously had achieved were met with frustration which only increased my nervousness.

I began taking lessons with Tony Sykes through Acclaim Driving early last year, and I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor. The quality of teaching was fantastic — Tony pushes you just the right amount to help you build confidence while making sure you become a safe and capable driver.
I recently passed my test with only one minor fault, and I genuinely credit Tony for that achievement. His guidance, patience, and structured approach made all the difference.
Although I didn’t need to contact the Acclaim office very often, whenever I did — whether for booking or rearranging lessons — everything was handled smoothly and efficiently.
I would highly recommend Tony to any new learners looking for a supportive and professional instructor.

I had Graeme for my driving intense course and I can’t recommend him enough, he is the most patient driving instructor I’ve ever had and was really flexible when working around my schedule even if I booked a driving test for a week after I failed one😂, Graeme is extremely encouraging but also realistic when teaching

Rich Cotter transformed me and got me test ready with a short deadline. His style is very calm and methodical. A pleasure to learn with and had helpful online resource suggestions which helped me continue the process between lessons. A++

I had Tony Sykes as my driving instructor, and I cannot recommend him enough!
I struggle with severe anxiety, so driving was initially a very scary experience for me! But Tony gave me all the knowledge and confidence to be able to become a good driver, and I passed my test first time!
He was always calm and patient with me, and always believed in me, even when I didn't believe in myself.
I couldn't have done it without Tony, so I'd recommend him to anyone wanting to start learning to drive or to have refresher lessons etc!

I passed first time with Shiv and he is a great instructor who is calm and patient, which is just what you need when you’re learning something new! I would really recommend him and I am really grateful for everything he did for me, even helping me with references for work etc. He goes above and beyond and I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor!
