Horrible
Horrible! I will be contacting every agency I can find to report this horrible company, they are so incompetent! Total scam! Beware, I will be contacting my insurance company and absolutely refuse to deal with this pharmacy!
Absolutely the Worst Pharmacy Experience of My Life
I have been trying to fill a simple prescription for Dupixent through Accredo for almost three months. My insurance approved this medication back in April 2025, yet Accredo has wasted my time with eight or more calls, each lasting 1-2 hours. Every time, they asked for the same information over and over again, as if they have no records or any functioning internal communication.
Despite repeated promises that "everything is finally good to go," I continue receiving vague voicemails about "errors" with no explanation. I was even supposed to receive my medication this week — nothing showed up. This has caused me to miss multiple doses of a critical medication for my eczema, and my condition is getting worse because of their incompetence and negligence.
I received my first dose as a sample from my doctor over two months ago. Dupixent is a medication meant to be taken every two weeks, and Accredo's inability to do their basic job has directly harmed my health. They clearly do not care about their patients.
Their customer service is a nightmare — rude, disorganized, and dismissive. They act like they are doing you a favor by reading from scripts while your health suffers. I’ve escalated this to my insurance, the FDA, and the pharmacy board, because enough is enough.
If you have a choice, avoid Accredo at all costs. This is not just a bad pharmacy — it is a danger to patients.
No communication …
Given this review of one is really going overboard because they don’t even deserve a one. It’s like the first person doesn’t talk to the second person. Second person doesn’t talk to anybody and your problem never gets resolved. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve come close to completely running out of my life-saving meds for my transplant
Still horrendous - can't get my meds.
I've already left a bad review, but the company continues to be absolutely horrendous, so I'm writing another bad review.
It seems impossible to get your prescriptions from this company. I don't know why. It's the worst specialty pharmacy I have ever dealt with. The person on the phone makes it sound like everything is going to work out, but then nothing happens and you call again and find out there's a problem or they tell you it's going to go through in 24 hours and it never does.
This time my doctor's office had a 2 week supply of the medication that I needed, so they loaned it to me and I was going to give them my med when I got it in to pay them back. However it has been 2 weeks and I still don't have my medication. Of course there was an issue with prior authorization, and we got that fixed. Then I was told it would be 2 weeks before I got the medication. I told them I would need it sooner than that. Then when the pharmacist was reviewing the medication they decided that it was unsafe for me to take this medication (even though I was already taking it, and my dr. prescribed it for me), so again it was put on hold. My doctor's office called and explained the situation to the pharmacist so that they would approve the med for me. Then it's still a waiting game. There's another med that has been under pharmacist review for days too. Why does it take so long for a pharmacist to review it? What are they doing all day? Isn't this their job? Is Accredo understaffed? I don't understand why it's so hard to get a medication. Walmart gets me my meds in an hour or less. Accredo takes weeks. What is the deal, Accredo??
Ridiculous, unacceptable
It has been over a month of constant calling and they still keep making excuses. I have been placed on multiple holds and then hung up on. My doctors office has called multiple times as well and told them they would call me the next day and still haven't. I have provided them with my pre authorization and so has my doctors office since that is what they said they were waiting on and then when I went to check in, they had canceled the order. I was then placed on high prioity since they had my Pre auth and it has been another 2 weeks and they still say there is another dely. I am honestly so frustrated since they have had my order and pre auth over a month ago and still haven't called to schedule delivery. This is ridiculous since I am paying for the service and prescription, not sure why it is so hard to provide something so simple to a paying customer... Unreal.
Repeatedly missed prescription refills and patient missed dosages.
This organization struggles with regular prescription refills. This unfortunately is their normal operation and ridiculously systemic.
My son is on a weekly injection (not life sustaining) and I was notified via the app that it was time to refill. I followed the app's process and was told that I would have to call in. I did so and was told the order was placed. I waited for the communicated delivery date but no medical came.
I called in again, same story but they were not able to see the previous order place that had "apparently vanished." That new rep submitted the new order with the same practice of communicating the delivery date and delivery address. That date, too, came and went with no delivery.
These 2 calls took place over the span of a month.
I called backed back and was informed that the prescription has since expired and a new one would be required from the provider. You can't make this up.
My son, had at this point, missed 2 doses.
I called back this week and confirmed the new prescription was received and was told the system was still receiving the documentation. ...more and more time wasted.
My phone call today was finally able to process a new order with a new delivery date and confirmation of delivery address. I understand I have very little to guarantee the fulfillment of this order, but it is what I have at this point.
Repeated failures observed:
-inconsistency of account note keeping across representatives
-shared prescription information and processing within accredo and express scripts do not interact will - conflicts are not flagged but progress just drops off without communication to the patient
-sense of urgency for patience situations seem to be eroded by the possible frequency of these scenarios.
Suggested improvements:
-Improve the flagging of customer pain points with prescription fulfillment - provider information documentation, insurance information and billing, order timing and management.
-Treat the customer with compassion over the phone as well as off the phone (notes should never berate or demean patient)
-Prioritize the timeline fulfillment of orders, this is a huge win for both customer and Accredo.
-Authentic interactions and be quick to identify areas of improvement ..then keep it up.
Horrible
Horrible , rude, racist unprofessional just plain dumb.I can not say enough bad about this place
Called 5 times multiple dates every rep was disgusting every call I made.
RACIST
Custom Service Gives Incorrect Information
Accredo changed the terms of my doctor's refill order, but customer service blamed my doctor. I spoke to an accredo pharmacist, who confirmed that this was not my doctor's error, but that I would have to wait while accredo fixed their own error. I've repeatedly had problems with accredo, and I would suggest that you use another pharmacy unless you have no choice under the terms of your insurance.
I have been trying to get a…
I have been trying to get a prescription filled for didn’t for over three months. My doctor and myself have done everything they have asked. I have insurance with blue cross and blue shield. I just called again and they said that they need prior authorization. That is the fourth time that I have been fed this crap. It is a catch 22 every time I call, and you can never talk to the same person. So the right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing. By far the worst company I’ve ever dealt with in my life. If there is anyway you can avoid doing business with this company, by all means avoid it!!!!!!
My mom just had a life saving surgery…
My mom just had a life saving surgery in April (liver transplant) every month is an issue getting medications on time. I’ve submitted a refill over two weeks ago. I even put the request when it became available to refill because I didn’t want the delay. This is ridiculous!! By far the worst pharmacy I’ve dealt with it!!!
ACCREDO is one of the worst speciality…
ACCREDO is one of the worst speciality pharmacies I’ve ever dealt with. Every single month is a constant issue with them. My sons medications are constantly delayed which effects my sons treatments it’s so frustrating I’m constantly in tears at whits end I think my biggest issue I have is their lack of communication. If there is any issue they will not contact the provider or insurance to get it fixed it will just sit there. Your waiting as it says pharmacist reviewing validating but they aren’t doing anything they will not reach out to you if insurance denies it and needs further approval they won’t send the paperwork to the provider to sign to get it approved NOTHING and honestly the customer service is worthless and zero help and lie and be like no one my side it’s being processed and shipped out tomorrow and yet it’s not it’s constant back and forth. I’ve unfortunately been dealing with them for a couple years now and its only gotten so much worse I’m actually considering changing jobs to get different insurance that doesn’t use ACCREDO.
They are the worse pharmacy I have ever…
They are the worse pharmacy I have ever HAD to use. If I could use a different one I would, but unfortunately my insurance requires I use them. I have been trying to get my medication for a year now with nothing, but issues. I got the prescription in April of 2024 and was able to get 2 of my 7 starting doses when I started having issues with them filling it for one reason or another. 6 months later I finally get everything sorted out, and of course then the prior auth expires, and would have started the issues all over again, so I just gave up. I decided to try again this year as I really need the medication, and here it is 2 months later, and I got one order which was 2 doses of the starting doses (one injection every 2 weeks) and now I'm a week late for the 3rd because of the same issues and last time. Every time I call, they say they will submit a request and get it fixed, and every time I call back it's a different issue. They just suck.
Accredo is going to let my child die
It’s June 25 and I’ve been trying to get medication for my son since May 2. They roll
Out excuse after excuse and delay after delay. Insurance says everything is good on their side but still no medication for my child who has a life threatening disease.
nightmare is the only way i can…
nightmare is the only way i can describe my experience.
I have been begging for my childs medication for weeks now. everyone i speak to lies about it being sent out. this has been the worst experience i have ever had. i am looking for a different pharmacy. i would not recommend.
Torture
This company is a shining example why our healthcare system is broken. Whatever incentives they are working on, it isn't customer service. Their customer service agents know nothing, while their computers call you to inform you they screwed up again and your medicine won't ship (again) and call the customer service that can do nothing. It's a straight up scam of a company. Torture.
Deserves 0 stars
I’ve had, hands down, the WORST experience of my life with Accredo trying to fill a prescription for my son. It has been 3 weeks of trying to get this medication filled, we have still yet to receive it, and get a different answer every time I call, even from “members of leadership.” This experience has been absolutely ridiculous. I do have to say that every representative I’ve spoken to has been polite and professional, I feel that the business processes behind the scenes is where the issues lie.
Terrible Customer Service
I just hung up the phone with customer service with Accredo, and have never been spoken to in such a condescending and rude manner. I have never had to use a specialty pharmacy before. I even told her that I was a new patient, and the agent treated me as if I were out of line for even asking questions and kept cutting me off. When I tried to explain to her that the letter I received in the mail instructed me to call them, she became audibly annoyed and offered absolutely no help.
As the first person I have ever had to speak to at this company, she truly left a bad taste in my mouth about the place as a whole.
Untrustworthy company
My request for Prolia was submitted on May 30 and I received text notification the next day that my order was processing and would be ready in 5 to 7 days.
By June 12, I had heard nothing from them so I called and they told me that my order was still processing. This means that my dose is about a month late.
Terrible service and not at all trustworthy to handle critical medication issues.
Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs, have been awaiting a medication for almost 6 months, it requires a starter pack to ramp up to the maintenance dose which I have had to do twice become the maintenance dose never arrives. Have called them well over 60 times, each time it’s a different answer, sometimes they say it’s on hold, then they say it’s been approved, only to call back and say it’s been rejected?! My last conversation was that it was approved and scheduled for delivery. Then a week later I get a call telling me I need to schedule it for delivery when I’ve already done that. I’ve even been given different cost quotes for the same prescription. I’ve never in my life experienced such miscommunication, mishandling and dysfunction in a business. Don’t bother asking for a supervisor or specialist, they will disconnect the line or place you on infinite hold. They also refused to do a three way call with the copay assistance representative, so the representative attempted to call herself with me on the line and as soon as they became aware of me being on the line with her they disconnected… I have never experienced anything like this before. RUN don’t walk away if you are sent here.
Never use Accredo
Never use Accredo. This company gives the runaround with each successive phone call/live chat. I haven’t had this level of frustration with a specialty company EVER!
