A scam to phish supporters of genuine campaigns

I have organised a very successful ‘Save Our Heritage Asset’ campaign. Action Network is claiming to represent the UK Green Party ‘campaign’ with the same objective. The Green Party has no knowledge of this supposed campaign. The attempt to steal the identity of a bona fide campaign is disreputable and Action Network should be exposed as a scam.

It's really sad

It's really sad. I care about issues but I have only so many hours in the day. Action Network literally floods your inbox with messages from people you never heard of.
It takes a huge amount of mental energy and a lot of time each day to keep unsubscribing from the firehose of stuff.
It's exhausting and burns you out. The alternative is an unusable inbox with important stuff getting buried in it.

Vehicle for Spam

I never signed up to receive emails from or through this site and I have been inundated with emails from whacko candidates via this site. No way to unsubscribe.

Spammed by email

I got spammed with hundreds of emails saying exactly the same thing from their email address but with different names listed. Clogging up email is not the way to get support for any cause.

Issue resolved

I referred for them and never got paid in full. They only sent me $40 when total should have been $260. Do not waste your time on this scam app. Opening a BBB complaint now.

Update they paid out all my referral pay!!! They now pay quicker than before! Thank you Action!

Spam generating website

I received an email from them saying “Thank you for joining Working America in Santa Clarita!” . I never signed up for communication in anyway from this site.

Overbearing unsubscribe process

Continue to get more emails from actionnetwork, trying to unsubscribe gets you to a screen where they request your first and last name to unsubscribe, that is B*!!S**t
not required to unsubscribe.
Clicking an additional like in suspect of a scam.

This alienates me from the cause they are pushing.

Fraud "nonprofit" - do NOT give any money to these snakes

They send unsolicited texts multiple times a day from different numbers each time so they can not be blocked. They should be reported for fraud, which is what they are committing.

They are a 501c4, which is not even a real nonprofit. They are just skimming money from the election for their own pockets, they are not required to produce any information as to where they are going to spend this money, and by the time anyone can ask the election will be done and over with.

Garbage "nonprofit" that uses the most shady practices out of any normal greaseball company.

This is one of those call center non profits where the owners have hired a 3rd party to solicit and obtain donations in any manner possible, you have to ask them direct, specific questions otherwise they can lie day and night to you. But you will never reach the owners the way they have it structured.

YOU CANNOT UNSUBSCRIBE FROM ANYTHING

YOU CANNOT UNSUBSCRIBE FROM ANYTHING! THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND THE BEST THING TO DO IS REPORT THEM TO THE FCC, FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION WHO ENFORCE THE CAN SPAM ACT AND ALSO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB.

IN THE MEANTIME, BLOCK ANYTHING COMING FROM ACTION NETWORK IMMEDIATELY! THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND SAY THEY CANNOT UNSUBSCRIBE YOU BECAUSE THEY ARE ONLY OPT-IN PEOPLE! OH WE WILL SEE.

what a spam generator

I receive countless emails from people using your site for campaign fundraising. You have sold my information countless times. it is a complete nuisance to expect to unsubscribe from every person that thinks they want to run for an election.

The definition of SPAM-unsolicited email

As everyone else points out, inundated with spam for every other Tom, Dick, and Harry that uses "action network" after signing one petition. Thank goodness I used a throwaway email address. I now report them all as SPAM, because unsolicited email IS Spam. And will not ever taken any other "action" other than Delete Forever

Mass spammer

Mass spammer. Takes signing ANY survey as consent to give your marketing details to ALL partners even if totally unrelated to the survey. Gives you no way to mass unsubscribe, instead requiring you to unsubscribe from each and every list one by one. And best of all, that's true EVEN WHEN A PARTNER HAS MULTIPLE LISTS -- they'll go out of their way to hide that fact and only unsubscribe you from one of the partner's lists but not the others. Truly disgusting behavior which has ensured EVERY email I receive will just be reported to my provider as spam instead.

So many spam emails

Awful company - as soon as you sign up to just one of their email lists (and there are thousands), all the others are free to spam you. I've got so many unsolicited messages about stuff I don't care about and have certainly never signed up to.

I tried to raise this point by email but they just say you can unsubscribe from the link at the bottom of each email - in other words, they won't do anything. Their business model is for mass emailing, so I guess this figures. It's an awful way to do things, and there's no way of opting out.

I'm going to write to the few campaigns I care about who use them and encourage them to stop using them, then creating a filter that sends anything from Action Network directly to the email bin in the sky - if enough people do the same, maybe they'll change.

I'm absolutely BURIED in unsolicited emails asking for money, +-100 per DAY! I'm sick of EVERYONE ASKING FOR DONATIONS, to the point where I'm basically stopping all donations. I'm even getting duplicates & triplicates from the same solicitor! It really feels like someone's racking their brains trying to come up with yet another cause. Next I'm going to see about filing an FCC COMPLAINT.

As everybody is saying

As everybody is saying. Regardless of what cause you initially supported, you will now be bombarded with every emails from every American PAC and lobby group imaginable.
There's a new group emailing you for every one you unsubscribe from.
Don't give them your info, because they will not handle it responsibly.
Their business is spam.

You’ve been warned!

As everyone here has said, RUN - if you give them your email by signing a petition for a cause you support, you will be getting DOZENS of unwanted emails! I got fooled once by signing something from the National Wildlife Federation, then noticed the “action” on their email. Sure enough, junk started pouring in.
Even after months of unsubscribing, I still get the occasional junk from them. I’ve told NWF that I won’t sign or donate to them as long as they use action network, but doubt anyone even read it.
Stay away!!
