Acuvue Moist Contact Lenses

I gonna speak about the Acuvue Moist. Before to ordre them, I got the acuvue oasys and they were really nice, but my ophtalmologist told me to try these new one. The 1st think I noticed is their thickness, they are reallyyyyy thin, i think the thickness compare to the oasys are divided by 2. And it’s horrible when you try to put them on because they always withdraw into themselves. 2nd thing, because of their thickness, one day when I was passing my ski exam, I thought I lose one contact lens, so I had to ski 3h with only one eye open (a disaster). But FINALLY, when i came back home, the contact lense was hidden beneath my eyelid, that’s crazy !!! It’s so dangerous omg, in more than 8 years of wearing contact lenses, I’ve never seen that happen !!! Worst contact lenses ever.

Customer service is unhelpful and unfriendly. The rebate was the reason I purchased but they demand the doctors office provide specific receipt types for qualification & that receipt would require they display their own price. I'm tired of arguing. I've spent $300 for these after insurance, I provided proof of purchase and the boxes. I'm filing a BBB complaint. I'm not feeling this doctor's office is any more legitimate. They denied helping at all - but equally Acuvue imo is presenting false advertising.

The Oasys product is good. My eyes don't dry out when using the Oasys 2 week contacts. However, I don't see the purpose of a company offering a rebate if no one can receive it. I have tried multiple times to get my rebate and it's impossible.

I won’t recommend anyone buying these lenses . They are rhe worst experience from acuvue - I wasted my money. My view to all is dull, my eye appeared yellow and also opaque.
Worst thing I bought - and company never did anything about it.

Was told if I buy a year supply of…

I was told that if I purchased a year’s supply of Acuvue contact lenses, I would receive a $250 rebate and that the process would be “easy.” Unfortunately, that has not been my experience at all.

I have now submitted my rebate three separate times. I followed all instructions carefully — I took photos of the boxes, uploaded my receipt, and even mailed the required documents. Each time, my claim has been denied with no clear or helpful explanation.

The rebate was a major factor in my decision to buy a full year’s supply. $250 is a significant amount of money, and I would not have made this purchase if I had known the rebate process would be this difficult and ultimately unsuccessful.

This experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. I hope the company can improve transparency and make the rebate process more customer-friendly in the future. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution others to fully understand the rebate requirements before purchasing.

Acuvue Brand Dailies have been an expensive nightmare for me. Acuvue 4 hour Wear is more like it. The packaging changed and also the materials. I had to dig around in my eye to remove and rinse, only to have them cloud up again. Trash product. I reached out to the company and crickets. Find alternatives and use those. Do not spend another dollar on the garbage they want you to put in your EYES!

Acuvue’s Rebate Process Drove Me Away

UPDATE: After filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, Acuvue finally reissued my gift card. I increased my rating to 3 stars, but I'm leaving my original review below as it was still a hassle.

I’ve worn Acuvue contacts for years, but my recent experience with their rebate program has completely changed my view of the brand.

I was told I could receive a $100 rebate after purchasing lenses through my eye doctor. The process to claim it was convoluted and unnecessarily time‑consuming — requiring multiple documents submitted both electronically and by mail. After finally completing everything, I received a $100 virtual gift card.

What I didn’t expect was a six‑month expiration hidden in the fine print. When I went to use it, it had just expired. Since this program is supposed to reward loyal customers, I asked for a reissued card. They refused without any flexibility or willingness to help.

After this experience, I’ll be asking my doctor to switch my prescription at my next appointment. I won’t be purchasing Acuvue lenses again.

Been wearing them for 30+ years but I've noticed a decrease in quality in terms of length that they last. Because I don't wear contacts daily, I have always worn 2-weekers. Years ago, they would only lose their shape/become dry at the end of the 2 weeks. In recent years, they begin to deteriorate at the end of just 1 week of wear. Worst of all is their rebate system that requires a photo of the boxes, a photo of the receipt AND the physical receipt. All of that hassle not even for actual money returned but a prepaid Mastercard

Acuvue rewards doesn’t honor stated rebates

I purchased Acuvue contacts with an ey exam. It took me a few months to fill out rebar information because my son was get it married. It was difficult to make sure I had all original copies and pictures to mail in. Then, I was denied because it was out of their rebate window. When it went to reorder, the website told me I would receive $150 rebate for 12 month supply (making them the same price as 6 month). When I went to input the information, it told me I was going to receive $50 rebate. I would have never purchased a 12 month supply. The customer service said that I would only receive $50 because I wasn’t a new wearer even though I had never received a rebate before. I’m working to return the contacts with my eye doctor. Hoping I can get my money back and will find another brand. I don’t want to work with a company that will not honor their rebates. Very disappointed!

The rewards website is horrible

The rewards website is horrible. It takes forever to load and the scan doesn't work. On top of it all I got a reward sheet from my eye Dr and it says as a new wearer I woukd get an additional $100 and it did not even offer that to me. Plus after uploading everything they still want you to mail in the original receipt after you already loaded it on their website. Not a good way to get rewards. I am thinking they did that on purpose so people won't bother with the rewards!!!!!!

DO YOU REALLY WANT TO BUY ACUVUE…

DO YOU REALLY WANT TO BUY ACUVUE CONTACT LENSES?

Acuvue is owned by J&J which has a history of decision making that does not favor their customers: (1) they knowingly sold talcum powder that caused cancer, were ordered to pay $4.7 billion to former users of the talc powder, and then tried to avoid the payout by declaring bankruptcy, (2) they deceptively promoted opioids as safe for chronic pain for which they were forced to pay $5 billion as part of a nationwide settlement, (3) they were forced to pay $8 billion for marketing an antipsychotic drug off-label and for not warning of very significant side effects, (4) they sold hip implants with a 40% failure rate ($2.5 billion in settlements), and (5) they misrepresented the safety and effectiveness of their vaginal mesh faced over 100,000 lawsuits as a result, failing to settle with patients when other vaginal mesh marketers admitted their mistakes and settled.

By comparison, the complaint that I have with Acuvue is small stuff. To make you think that you are getting a “reward” for buying their Acuvue lenses, they ask you to waste an inordinate amount of your time to collect the “reward”. You have to:
-get a receipt from the contact lens prescriber,
-take a screen shot of the receipt so it is in the format that Acuvue requires so you have to have the receipt in digital form,
-set up and sign into a Acuvue account,
-watch a video,
-fill out their multipage form online,
-wait to receive the contact lenses because you can’t complete the process without taking a photo of the lenses so you have to receive them first,
-upload the photo of the lenses you just received a few weeks after you bought them,
-print out the receipt
-write a confirmation code on the hard copy of the receipt you have printed,
-find an envelope and place the receipt with the confirmation code in the envelope,
-put a stamp on it,
-and send it to the Kalamazoo MI address they give you in this process.

Why do they do this? Why do they make you work for them when, since you are the paying customer, they should be doing whatever work is needed? Because this is totally unneeded. My assumption is that they are hoping that this long process will wear you out so that you don’t jump through all these hoops and so that they don’t have to pay you the “reward.” My “reward” was $100. Why don’t they just drop the price by $100?

Buy elsewhere the next time. Costco, Walmart, and 1800 Contacts are perfectly fine to use!

Freaking hate this company

Freaking hate this company. They make it dang near impossible to get their rebate. I like their contacts but damn!!! This ridiculous. Emailed and no response for 2 weeks. Call and they say to email 😂 aufr? Absolutely unbelievable and anxiety attack causing, pay the extra money and save yourself by going to another company since you aren’t getting the rebate you were promised.

I’ve been wearing these contact lenses…

I’ve been wearing these contact lenses for several years now, but the quality has drastically declined in the past year. I’m not sure what they’ve changed, but they’re now extremely cloudy. I only wear them for a day or two before throwing them away, even though they’re supposed to be biweekly. They irritate my eyes so much that I’m starting to think about giving up on them. It’s a real shame because they used to be such good contact lenses.

Worst experience I've ever had...

Customer service for filing the rebate was unworkable. Each time asking for a different piece of information or detail. 2 months in and ongoing. Customer service reps were extremely rude and unhelpful despite giving them an immense amount of patience. A complete wall of incompetence.

Contact lenses are horrible as well as the customer service

Horrible company and contact lenses. Please do not buy as they will lure you to buy their contacts through a rebate/rewards and lie to you and not process your request when you submit it. Somehow lost my mail. Sent them a soft copy via email and they ignore my emails even after waiting 6-8 weeks as noted. Guess I will be buying via Costco going forward or trying a different brand. Horrible, please fire your customer service team or your rewards team. Implement AI, it would probably be a lot more useful.

These are by far the worst contact lenses I've ever used. They fall out easily, and many seem misshapen straight out of the package. I'd estimate only 1 in 5 are actually comfortable enough to wear. I've had far better experiences with much cheaper brands. Definitely not worth the price, and I won’t be using Acuvue again.

Long story short

Long story short. It's been 6 months and I have finally given up on getting my rebate. Unfortunately the eye doctor who I really like just lost a customer. I have kept them informed of this runaround and their relationship with Acuvue has tainted our relationship. They need to severe ties with Acuvue.

Acuvue Scam

I have bought Acuvue contacts for thirty years but next year I will be buying a different brand. It is already bad enough that Acuvue scams its customers with a ‘years’ supply that only lasts 11 months but now they are scamming customers with their rebates.

I followed the instructions, which also included me spending $11 of my own money to ship the original receipt to them. Acuvue is refusing to give me the rebate that I am owed for buying a one year supply of Acuvue Oasis contacts because the receipt provided by the eye doctor does not contain all the information that they want. Even though you can clearly see how many contacts I bought in the pictures of the boxes I had to send Acuvue. The response from Acuvue was that I need to send a receipt that contains (they provided a list of items). I have no control over how the receipt from the eye doctor looks; which is at least partially due to the eye doctor processing my insurance. The cheap con artists at Acuvue are just looking to deny their customers the rebates that they are owed.

This is unacceptable and this is why after thirty years of being an Acuvue customer that next year I will be ordering a different brand of contacts.
