Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 82 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many people found the customer service to be extremely poor, citing ignored emails and unanswered phone calls, leading to significant frustration and a feeling of being unsupported. Customers often reported being left without medication due to a lack of communication and responsiveness, with some even stating that their GPs struggled to contact the service. The service was frequently described as unprofessional and disorganized, with long wait times on the phone that often ended in disconnection, and a general lack of empathy from staff. However, some customers also noted positive experiences, particularly with certain clinicians who were described as excellent, understanding, and caring, providing thorough assessments and helpful follow-up calls. A few other people also felt that the initial assessment process was efficient, with some receiving diagnoses and medication discussions relatively quickly, and appreciated the supportive and respectful approach from specific team members.

Better than Psychiatry UK but not great

Having been with Psychiatry UK first I can tell you Harrow Health is much better. But it's still faaaaaaaar from being even adequate. It's impossible to get a reply from them unless the house is on fire in which case they call you. It's as if these people have never met ND people in their whole lives. Ignoring you, not answering your concerns when you're losing sleep and have suicidal thoughts but they just don't care and don't even try to hide it anymore because they're aware of how needed the service they're providing is, and so they still will make profit, so who cares about these mentally ill people who have been bullied and disregarded all their lives? Calling an ND person on the phone out of the blue? Are you joking. My phone is on constant mute because unplanned called are causing me massive anxiety. They don't care. It's my responsibility to deal with it without any help from them or the NHS, you might as well die in a quiet corner. While I was happy with the specialist itself, the company is just another money grabbing pop-up business that will fill its pockets and move on. Which is why they don't care about these reviews. They're esswntially torturing and bullying the people they're supposed to be helping causing them more anxiety above the anxiety we already live with. Got my diagnosis within about 10 weeks of applying, hence the 2 stars. But the experience was damaging to say the least.

Harrow health Avoid at all costs

Harrow health absolutely gutted at their lack of communication twice I've had appointments that no one has turned up to.
No communication. No reply to emails.
Don't answer calls.
I'm shocked they are allowed to treat patients like this. Especially patients with ADHD.
I really hoped getting my diagnosis and medication would help me but this company are making things impossible.

Terrible customer service

I would give 0 star if I could.

Harrow Health Service is by far one of the most frustrating services I’ve ever had to deal with. Every single time we call, we’re left on hold for at least 30 minutes, and it usually takes a minimum of four calls before anyone actually picks up.

On top of that, my doctor took 8 working days to issue a simple prescription – completely unacceptable. The customer service team is equally poor: they never reply to emails, never acknowledge receiving them, and despite promising call-backs, they never actually follow through.

Considering the amount of money they charge the NHS for providing this service, what patients receive is nothing short of appalling. There is no efficiency, no accountability, and absolutely no sense of urgency for people’s health needs.

Avoid if you can.

Awful!!

I’m with Harrow Health and my assessor is great, but that’s where all the positive stuff ends.

When it comes to the rest of the service, they are very good and making sure you feel like a burden. If you phone the office they very abruptly tell you that you must call another number for NHS ADHD, when you call that number no one answers. I’ve had an issue with my prescription, I emailed a week ago and I’ve heard nothing back, I’ve emailed a second time and still nothing. I’m very concerned as I really don’t feel supported, I’m completely out of my medication and I have no idea how to resolve this.
DON’T SIGN UP IF YOU CAN’T PROVIDE THE SERVIVE!!

Absolute shambles

So this is a follow on review from my first one about ADHD harrow health. I am not sure how this clinic is still running. After waiting 7 months for my consultation and not being able to contact them via email or phone ect. I did finally get my diagnoses from them which was yes I did have combination Adhd..I was asked about medication and I told the lady I probably didn't want to go on stimulants but I would like to try medication. She said I needed an ECG and I would have to get a letter from my neurologist. Then I received an email telling me I had been discharged back to my GP and would have to be re- referred back to them to get any medication.
Not sure how long this will take this time but the whole experience has been really stressful.

Harrow Health ADHD Distressing Experience - Part 2

This is a follow-up to my original review about my ADHD assessment with Harrow Health. After the awful experience I had, I raised a formal complaint in early June. It has now been over three months, and I am still waiting for a proper response. The only communication I have received was a generic holding email, with no meaningful update, no timescales, and no indication that the matter is actually being addressed.

For a service that works with vulnerable people seeking mental health support, this is deeply concerning. The assessment itself left me feeling distressed and unsupported, and the handling of my complaint has only reinforced that negative experience. To leave someone waiting for months without communication is unacceptable in any professional context, but especially so in healthcare, where compassion and accountability should be at the forefront.

This level of delay gives the impression that they hope people will simply give up rather than push for answers. It raises serious questions about the organisation’s processes, standards, and duty of care to the patients who rely on them. If this is how complaints are handled, I dread to think how many other individuals are left without a voice or proper resolution.

Mental health services must be responsive, transparent, and professional. Harrow Health has shown none of these qualities in my experience. I strongly urge others seeking ADHD assessments to look elsewhere for care that is respectful, compassionate, and timely.

Communication was great up until…

Communication was great up until yesterday. I received a text last week with a link to book my appointment slot - which I did, I booked the 7th September at 5pm (yesterday) I waited for a link via text to join the call as per their instruction on previous text. Nothing. No call, no text. No apology, completely missed or Forgotten my appointment to be assessed. This is really really disappointing and I will be going elsewhere. My GP can’t even get ahold of them either.

Harrow Health ADHD service are…

Harrow Health ADHD service are incredibly difficult to deal with. They never answer their phones, I am always left in a queue on hold before being disconnected, nor do they reply to the multiple emails I have sent. This is a problem that has been consistently bad over the time I have been dealing with with them. From my initial diagnosis appointment with them through what should be my last appointment for shared care with my GP. It is incredibly stressful and I have now been left with no medication as I have run out, but cannot contact them to get a repeat prescription

Terrible service, terrible communication.

Two hours past the due appointment time they have not shown up, and have made no contact.

Phone line is closed, I have never received an email reply from them and have had multiple issues with their texts not being sent.

They asked me to book an appointment using the link they sent once without sending a link. Did not answer the email. Found their number on Reddit as they have deliberately removed it from their website
(It's 02039896766, btw).

They automatically hang up if you have been waiting for half an hour and you have to call again. Last time it took four calls for them to answer. I guess the tactic is to hope you go away. Do not let that work.

DO NOTE USE THIS SERVICE. The wait times are a lie. Find somebody else. I cannot stress this enough.

I was discharged incorrectly, now at continuity-of-care risk

I was discharged into a Shared Care Agreement that they never to my GP despite me chasing them for over a month. I'm now at medication and continuity-of-care at risk. On looking into ADHD Harrow Health, there are a lot of people with ADHD who get diagnosed and prescribed by them, and then are dropped between the cracks after 3-5 appointments with no access to their prescribed medication.

They are IMPOSSIBLE to contact.

I was assessed and titrated by ADHD Harrow Health this year and discharged to my GP under shared care. Up to this point everything was utterly brilliant. Excellent care from excellent and helpful people.

Then your discharge letter says you would send the Shared Care Agreement (SCA) to my GP. Over a month later, my GP still hasn’t received it. They can’t legally continue prescribing lisdexamfetamine 50 mg without the SCA.

I’ve emailed requesting urgent communication and action on 1 Aug and 5 Aug and had no reply. Phone lines go unanswered. I will run out on 23 August 2025. This is a real continuity-of-care risk.

What I need:

1. Email the signed Shared Care Agreement to my GP today and please let me know this has happened

2. Issue a 28-day bridging prescription while the SCA is completed.

I’ll update this review as soon as this is resolved. Patients with ADHD already struggle with admin. Please help me avoid falling through the cracks for no other reason than you failed to send one document after months of otherwise excellent care.

Horrible, dismissive waste of time

Initially ok,
Wait time was short and I looked forward to finally getting the assessment.
But.
Clinician was short tempered, rude, dismissive and patronising.
Kept saying we were rushed for time and that there was a problem with the video call although I could see and hear everything perfectly.
He rushed through the assessment, gave me no chance to describe or explain anything, didn’t seem to have any grasp of masking / late female diagnosis.
He didn’t seem to actually listen to me and didn’t seem to want to be present. I had been told it would last 2 hours, it lasted 45 minutes (and for most of that he was saying there were problems with the call and fiddling / stopping / restarting the call. The whole experience was a frustrating, upsetting and exhaustingly bad one.
At the end he said “ You don’t have adhd” and I am absolutely sure he is wrong. Am 46 years old and adhd completely explains my struggles. I have done my
Research, my counsellor is sure I have it, my friends who have it are sure I have it.
I went through right to choose to Harrow Health to finally get some clarity, but instead I got a really harrowing experience.
Pun intended.
He had not heard any of my side of things and I feel exhausted and angry at the whole waste of time.

Awful service

Awful service ! the assessment was rushed and lasted only 40 minutes. I didnt feel heard at all, i kept having to ask what the clinician what he was saying. Was no empathy what so ever. Tried to email/ phone on numerous occasions no response. When i received my report there were so many errors and the total opposite to what i had said ! Do NOT recommend this place.

Really poor follow up service.

Really poor follow up service. Takes many many times to get through on the phone, when eventually you get through told “they will get around to it sometime”
No reply to emails whatsoever.
Consultation was all fine however when further information was needed it’s like they don’t want to know anymore. You don’t have an identifiable contact which would help.
The delay they cause to me getting the relevant medication is incredibly upsetting.
The person who answered the phone line comes across as a very inexperienced telephonist with poor customer care skills.
This is a service for people with ADHD who often have anxiety and difficulty processing so this must be better than this!!

Gross Medical Negligence

I waited a long time to even get an assesement where there was no clarity or clarification that they had received documents despite emailing every few days to ask. Then I finally had an assesment, and was diagnosed.

They then asked for an ECG, which I had to get twice; and almost a third time becuase their staff said they were unreadable; this shocked my GP and the nurse that took my ECG. After 3 weeks they finally come back and say its actually fine, and give me a perscription. Thats great but they havent even told me what type of ADHD I have, what to expect, what the treatment plan is, not even an appointment for medication review. I have emailed them every SINGLE DAY for 2 months now trying to get someone to help me but I never get a response, and calling is useless becuase you get cut off after half an hour of waiting and they never pick up the phone. The one time I have got them on the phone they were unbeleivably rude and were trying to gaslight me into beleiveing their absolute incompetence was somehow down to me. I have started the medication and it is putting me through the ringer and I cant even ask or get help.

never send correspondence, except a text message to tell you the time and date. The website is useless, and the phone is never answered (am on now as 23mins) it disengages as 30mins. If you want to go somewhere where you won't be triggered, trust me, this is not the place.

The absolute worst people ive ever…

The absolute worst people ive ever known or not known because since they are meant to be working i think they don't care about anyone and never bother to reply to emails. There appointment system is so confusing and they're so busy you're on hold for 30 minutes which then you will get cut off ive emailed so much and they've now discharged me for not informing me of how to do my face to face appointment which is actually over a link which you need to have identification know your blood pressure amongst everything else like we're all professional doctors. Don't understand how they can give a diagnosis seeing as there's no communication at all and they are rude lazy selfish people who don't care about us that suffer. Im going to go to extremes and fight to the top to get rid of the no good workers which are not working and make sure this service is dealt with.

Avoid - rushed assessment, mistakes and bad communication

I recently got diagnosed with ADHD with Harrow Health and the assessment was very rushed with the clinician even making mistakes in my report. In the virtual assessment clinician was barely able to be seen at the corner of the screen, did not put me at ease and rushed through questions. Not to mention the complete lack of communication from HH and 0 response to emails. Avoid at all costs can see why they have the ‘shortest waiting times’!
