The Naughty Collie
I don’t even know where to start..
My border collie Kovu drove me absolutely crazy with his anxiety and reactivity on the lead. He would pull me here, there and everywhere and don’t even get me started on when it was dark, he would turn into a demon.
It got that bad, I would refuse to walk him on my own and would get extremely anxious before a walk.
I picked my boy up on Tuesday after a 10 day training course with ADK9 and he is like a different dog. I told Danny when I dropped our dog off that I didn’t expect miracles, I understand he was a tough case but that I just needed him to calm down a little.
Well after 10 days and many updates from Danny, my boy is back - walking at heel, barely barking anymore, walking in the dark like a saint and has become a pleasure to deal with.
Kovu will need ongoing training from myself and my partner but I truly believe Danny has given me the skills to do so and if I feel my dog needs more training, Danny kindly offered a free one to one.
After a couple days away from the training centre, Kovu is trying it on with me trying to pull and see if he can get away with it, however with the help of what Danny taught me and the training pack they sent, this was soon rectified.
I know for a fact my precious boy had a great time whilst with ADK9 and they even gave him back to me fully bathed along with clean bedding, which was a very welcome added bonus!
I just wish I had visited you guys sooner !

Crazy Cockerpoo
ADK9 have helped us with our lovable mad cockerpoo Rosie for a few years. They really have gone above and beyond to help us. She responds well to their training techniques and they understand her personality.
Jess and Danny are friendly warm and welcoming. We send Rosie for top up training and regular boarding. She loves going and we're pleased we can leave her in a place where she is happy and safe.
It's great receiving useful feedback, tips and plenty of photos when she is in their care.
Thanks Guys!

Amazing results 😊
So it’s been a week tomorrow since we collected Ranger after 9 days training.
I don’t know where to start really we are so thrilled with the results!
From the moment I dropped her off with Danny I felt happy and settled that she would be OK. He was great with her and she was more than happy to go off with him.
We loved the videos, photos and updates we recieved all the time that Ranger was away.
The reason we wanted our girl to go for training was her reactivity to other dogs, recall and general manners. We really wanted to be able to take her on nice walks where she could socialise with other dogs. we had got to the point that we were only walking in the dark it had become a real nightmare.
Well since last Friday we can not believe the difference! we’re taking her into busy parks on her long line, we’re passing dogs on the same pavement she’s still excited to see them but absolutely no lunging we feel confident and in control. we’re generally just really enjoying our time out and about with her!
When we collected Ranger Danny spent time with us explaining the training that he’d done and demonstrating and allowing us to practice under his supervision until we felt confident with the new commands and habits that they had taught her.
We can’t thank the team at ADK9 enough for bringing out the lovely well behaved girl that we always knew we had but needed their help to find ❤️
Thank you so so much!!!!

Why didn't I just do this sooner.... AMAZING! HAPPY DOG!!
I hope this gives me enough characters because there's not enough words I could use that would describe how absolutely amazing these guys are!!!
We took a beautiful little mixed breed called Cici who was an absolute NIGHTMARE to walk.... especially with our newborn who she is extremely protective of. She would go absolutely nuts at the slightest whif of a dog and even started becoming aggressive towards strangers walking if we had the pram. It was getting to the point where she was extremely anxious on every walk before we even left the gate.... i was in despair. Id taken her to trainers before and nothing worked so I'd almost given up before I found ADK9.
After doing soooo much research, these guys were worth the try atleast to help our little baby girl. Leaving her was so hard but after we met Danny, we had full confidence that she was in the right place and she was going to be loved like we love her.
Fast forward 4 days out of the 9 day stay and we receive a video update that made me cry - she was walking and like a crafts dog.....with other dogs about!!! It was like witchcraft I couldnt believe she was the same dog!! I could tell she was so happy but finally behaving herself and Listening for once!
When we went to collect her, they were extremely strict and great with the covid situation and managed to train both me and my partner to carry on with the foundations they have laid.... and to be fair I needed alot of training because I was too excited as to how well she was behaving!!! She was walking to heel, not reacting to dogs coming past and it was a dream!! I was scared to leave we just wanted to stay with these amazing people!
Since we've got home, we can't wait for our walks and she's absolutely knackered from being out so much more... weve bumped into a few dogs and does try it on with us sometimes but we follow through with the instructions Danny gave us plus the information pack that was sent to us as a reminder (thank you!) And she snaps straight back to her beautiful trained self. Id have paid 10 times the cost of this training if I knew we were going to finally have the results we have now.... its truly amazing.
Why did I even mess around with other avenues when these guys did exactly what we needed in just 9 days.... wish I had found you guys sooner!!
So much love for everyone at ADK9 who are like a second family already.... and can't thank our trainer Danny enough - your all welcome for a post covid Christmas Dinner anytime! We love you guys!!!!
If your reading this and are still unsure... dont be. Just do it... your pup will love you for it!

I am quite emotional writing this
I am quite emotional writing this. Our female German Shepherd called Hannah pulled on the leash and was reactive. Danny trained her and kept us fully updated of her progress. When he sent a video of her walking past another dog I couldn't believe it was her! Awsome. Picking her up was a bit of a concern as I didn't want to fail. Danny loves dogs and Hannah loves him. I wondered if she would still want us back, but her joy at seeing us both showed she missed her mum and dad. I walked her and she was a different dog, a pleasure to walk. And when we are in the North we shall board her here if we need to. HUGE THANK YOU to ADK9 and everyone who help to make all this possible. Special thanks and gratitude to our new friend Danny.

Tourettes assistance dog
I approached ADK9 as I was looking for a support dog for my daughter who suddenly developed Tic and Tourettes syndrome two years ago. The process took almost a year to find a suitable match, but Jess found her the most adorable Labrador, aged just over a year who had the right qualities to take on for continued training to become an assistance dog. Then lockdown happened and we were unable to progress with intensive training due to the restrictions! I am, however happy to say that Boo has now recently started working with a local trainer learning how to assist our daughter, and developing medical alert skills. He is becoming the essential support she needs and extend huge thanks to Jess and his ADK9 trainer Danny for finding him 😍

I cannot thank Shelby enough for what…
I cannot thank Shelby enough for what she has done. I sent both my frenchie for 10 days, my three year old Minnie and 9 months Mickey . Minnie wasn’t really a problem. But Mickey pulled like a train and was very reactive to other dogs. Not aggressive but due to lock down wasn’t socialised properly. He barked and pulled at every dog in excited but this was setting Minnie off. I have mobility issue and was finding it impossible to walk him. On collection I couldn’t believe the difference. Both dogs now walk to heel together and this has been a god send. I’m writing this review after a week of having them home and walks are so much more enjoyable. The one think that I’m extremely pleased with is the aftercare. Shelby has been amazing Mickey still reacts sometimes and the support from Shelby has been amamzing she has been in contact several times and supported me. Not only has she trains a the dogs but she has also educated me on how to act and I feel I am sometimes the problem. But Shelby has made me feel I can contact her at anytime for help and support. My dogs are like my children and during their stay I never once had any concerns over their care from the videos and photos it was clear they was having a great time. I will defiantly been using them for boarding on our next holiday. I could go on and on about Shelby and everyone here.

ADK9 Chesterfield, amazing work
We have just picked up our dog Eddie after a weeks training, with Shelby.
We were so nervous leaving Eddie as he has only been left once with a family member, but we needn't have worried. Shelby had taken such good care of Eddie, which was clear in the pictures, videos and the handover, he looked at her with such admiration.
We sent Eddie for training as he was too difficult to walk, with his pulling and excitement, well Shelby has worked her magic and he now walks to heel, which is fantastic 👏. We can't thank Shelby and ADK9 Chesterfield enough,.
Eddie is settling back in at home and enjoying his cuddles, we cant wait to take him for a walk tomorrow and put into action everything that Shelby has taught us.The change in 1 week is phenomenal. And we are truly grateful 🙏.

Murphy has been a different dog since his return. He was nervous, anxious and didn’t enjoy walks at all and impossible to have friends to our home. He has gained the confidence to enjoy family life and outings, we still have work to do with him but the improvement is literally priceless! I can’t recommend ADK9 and Shelby enough for all there hard work.

Draco the 2 year old rescue Rottie
Back in March we rescued a 2 year old rottie called Draco. He had a pretty terrible start in life and with hard work we had managed to teach him basic commands. There was one area though in particular that we were having no success in...his walking. He had never been walked and we were told he spent the first two years of his life chained in a garden. As soon as we got out the door he would pull, swerve from side to side, throw himself in neighbours bushes and then when I was barely half way down the street, he would sit down and refuse to move. Even for a Rottie he's big, and when he decides he's not moving, it's like like trying to move the Titanic on dry land. I'd read books, watched training videos, tried treats, tried being firm but nothing worked. Quick Google search and I found ADK9. The wait list was about 6 weeks, but I figured that was a good thing. Means they were busy because they can get results. Needless to say when drop off day came, I was very anxious. I was worried that he might not take to the trainer or that I was doing the wrong thing for leaving him for two weeks. As soon as we met Danny though I was put at ease. After a quick check in, Draco trotted off with Danny like he had known him for years. When pick up came, I couldn't believe the difference. He was walking to heel! Danny went through the commands and had us walk past Arlo the Rottie (who is a beautiful dog) and whilst Draco took an interest, he didn't lunge or pull towards him. We walked past without issue. Since he has been back he has been so much better. He still tries it on every now and again, but following the commands he soon comes back to heel and he hasn't sat down on our walks once. Danny and ADK9 have done an incredible job and mine and his walks are now alot less stressful!

Different dog
I have a 16 month old lab who is extremely strong. There would be times I used to dread walking him I would get pulled about and was just generally under control. I can not thank ADK9 enough I now enjoy taking him out and I only have to use one hand to gold the lead. Baileys trainer Jess was great he absolutely loved her. We are deff going back. Very happy

Ravens time
We took our dog, a female German Shepard called Raven To AdK9 for much needed training.
Il be honest both my girlfriend and I didn’t expect much to change with Raven, but we were willing to take the plunge and try it out for 8 days.
On pick up day, the difference in Raven was unreal.
Immediately she was not pulling on the trainer dans lead, she recognised commands and was far more obedient.
We were giving guidance how to continue her training at home, and given the lead to see for ourselves the differences to raven on the lead. It was amazing.
Since returning home Raven has become a dream to walk by myself or with my girlfriend and our kids, though she can sometimes get over protective if both children wonder too far, otherwise she is amazing and walks to my heel with little need for correction.
I would highly recommend sending your pup to ADK9 for training as soon as possible, as I will defo be sending Raven again for some more work on a few diffrent areas.
Thanks guys so much.

Last week I picked my cocker spaniel up…
Last week I picked my cocker spaniel up from ADK9 after receiving a weeks training with Danny. Prior to Oscar’s visit he was anxious and wary of other dogs. Walking Oscar was not a pleasant experience due to his constant pulling and his recall was poor. Sending Oscar was the best thing for him and us, as he has come home a new dog. We can’t thank Danny and the team enough for all their hard work, guidance and time. I would highly recommend to anyone considering sending their dog.

naughty american bulldog
I sent my american bulldog Nala who was showing signs of dog aggression and not generally behaving due to the poor breeders that she was originally with.
My AB had not been taught any manners and was getting to the point of the family thinking we will have to rehome her.
Along came this place...and Danny!!! he has been amazing and I now have a dog that can walk to heel, less barking, not a fear of other dogs. This has also helped the improvement with my other dog in the home that she was not fond of. They are now all settled. You must ensure that you continue the training that you are taught at home as this is more consistent for the dog.
Danny was great and even stayed with me when I picked Nala up so that he could show me what she has learnt. He even brought out another dog to show me that she was not dog aggressive and that she was socialising well.
I had regular updates and even recommended to fellow friends who are all intrigued. Thank you Danny you really have helped our family!!!

Superhero saves dog.
We left our excitable 6 month puppy in the very capable hands of Danny. We now have a dog who will walk to heel and is controllable.
We are very grateful and can guarantee that if our hound was able to be trained he can successfully work with any dog. Thank you Danny and ADK9.

I took my stroppy eleven month Doberman puppy Bella to ADK9 Chesterfield for a weeks training with Shelby. There was great care taken with social distancing on the drop of and collection. When I collected Bella I received a calmer little girl who actually seemed to want to walk to heel. Then the hard work began Shelby had to teach me how to keep up her good work.
I would like to thank everyone at ADK9 for all there help.

Excellent work from ADK9!!
Decided after many months of being pulled around my walks by my 14 month Springer i would invest in some professional training. When I considered how many years we'd be together I thought it was money well spent.
Picked her up after 2 years residential training and I now have a new dog, walking has become a pleasure and recall near on perfect......all thats left to do now and get myself taught!!! Special thanks go to Shelby for all her work.

Training Week
Our puppy cockapoo has just had a training week with Danny at ADK9, it has been the best thing we have done for our dog, we are so impressed with the difference it has made! We are now able to walk him without him pulling or being distracted, he is coming back to us when we ask him to and is also able to manage other dogs. We have no hesitation in recommending ADK9.
