This company did me dirty

This company did me dirty! Paid them for 3 months over $1200 and they kept saying that the SEO they were implementing on Google and my Instagram account for Photography services takes 30-60 days to kick in. At the end that number changed to 60-90 days. I should have known when the first sales gal named Tara and/or Whitney (stay away!) promised they would help me re-design a logo - and then the first week I paid them they said they can't do that even though they essentially said there would be a graphic designer on my team if working with Adler Local. If you work with them you need a refund policy that guarantees results. Also, they kept putting me on the phone with difference people. And they refused to post multiple pictures (in a a carousel, for example) and they didn't use hashtags which I thought was odd, but said that AI is now searchable with just the words in the copy. Definitely don't recommend anyone else wast their precious marketing dollars working with the company. So disappointed!

I feel compelled to share my experience…

I feel compelled to share my experience with Adlerlocal so that other small business owners can avoid the stress, frustration, and financial loss I went through.

In May 2025, I signed up for Adlerlocal’s “organic marketing” package at $499/month. I was told this would include social media management, Google Business optimization, Yelp and Google review responses, and real lead generation using organic strategies. As a small beauty business owner, I trusted their promise and expected to see measurable growth or client interest.

But from the very beginning, the service was extremely disappointing. They simply set up automated posts on my Instagram and Facebook accounts using repetitive, AI-generated images. Many posts were reused multiple times. There was no strategy, no engagement, and no visible marketing effort.

After the first month, I saw:
• No new clients
• No leads
• No engagement
• A decline in follower count

I immediately asked for a performance report. They told me they don’t provide written reports and could only discuss results over the phone. I explained that I needed documentation. They refused. I told them clearly that I was not satisfied and did not wish to continue without proof that their service worked.

Despite that, they charged me again in June — without my permission.

Then, on July 8, they withdrew another $499 from my account — a full month after I had already told them to cancel. I had to dispute all these charges with my bank.

This company has shown:
• No measurable results
• No transparency
• No written communication
• No accountability
• And repeated unauthorized charges even after cancellation

I’m not a marketing expert — I trusted Adlerlocal to do what they promised. Instead, I received nothing of value and am still trying to recover my money. Their actions are misleading, unprofessional, and, frankly, feel predatory.

I strongly advise any business owner to stay away from Adlerlocal.

I highly recommend Adler Local, they have done wonders for my business. My account manager Esther has been of great assistance in guiding me through the process which is easy with her expertise. I have referred many of my business friends to Adler.

Adler Social Horrible

Adler Social Horrible . Esther at Adler Social took down my business on google for 8 weeks back in August. I had another company work to fix their mistakes during those 8 weeks. Finally up and running and then Esther at Adler Social took us down again by not listening to me with their text messaging platform. I am down for 5 or more days and hopefully can it can be fixed. I am devastated to say the least. I asked for a refund and all they will do is cancel my text messaging account.

BAD QUALITY, COMMUNICATION, AND TRUSTABILITY

BAD QUALITY, COMMUNICATION, AND TRUSTABILITY

New customers, PLEASE READ: I am a starter wedding photographer, and I had an AWFUL experience with Adler Social.

QUALITY: They advertise themselves as professionals who can post and design beautiful graphics and content. However, when I received the graphic designs, I thought it was created by a High School student who barely knew how to use Photoshop. I'd instead use Canva than asking them to create anything. Second, the posting. In the first few weeks, things are going as planned, but then, the words and depth of the posting become less and less. For example: "We believe the images we took will exceed your expectations. Contact us today!" I mean... really? That is not the quality they promised.

COMMUNICATION: Adler Social responds quickly until you have put your credit card to their system. They even made a mistake about calling time because I live in California, and they are based in FL. I set up a 2:00 pm call because it's 5:00 pm in FL; however, they called me at 11:00 am which was their 2:00 pm. Then there is rarely any communication at all afterward. They will not inform you what they do under the package you choose after the first month only if you knew what you could ask them to do. For example, they said they could design 4 custom campaigns, but they never mention about it later on. When talking about billing, that's where the trustability breaks up.

TRUSTABILITY: Not trustable is the only common I wanted to give. As a wedding photographer, my business was strongly impacted by the Stay Home Order. So I requested just to pause my service until the lockdown ends. I called them, and they agreed. It was on March 15th. However, I found out that Adler Social is still charging me every month in May. During this period, there were no work nor communication done. I immediately called them about this, but it took them 5 business days to reach the manager. She said she'd need to contact the billing team, it took another three days for them to reach the billing team and they only offered a "partial refund" $150 for the two months they charged me by mistake. I received a service cancellation email the same day. But this is not over!

Today(6/2/20), I just found out that they are STILL charging me $300. I have received a formal cancellation email from them clearly stating:" There will be no future billing to your credit card." But they still charged me, for nothing? This is absolutely a no-no for any business to make such an improper mistake. But I understand why because they are unprofessional. How can an unprofessional business manage the client's business professionally?

I'd like to use what others comment on Adler social to end this review: "An unethical company that preys on small businesses just to sign them up and charge monthly fees for doing nothing- Beware..." Potential customers, please THINK 10 TIMES before committing your money on Adler Social. I am paying my hard-earned money to pay for my mistakes choosing Adler Social, but you don't have to. If you've made this far, thank you for your time and now move on to something more important in your life!

Stay Away from this company- First they…

Stay Away from this company- First they double billed us for $1,000 after charging us for nothing for 4 months. We were supposed to have an initial consultation to discuss the marketing plan- which never occurred, yet they still went ahead and charged us $500 monthly, taking it upon themselves to post useless and irrelevant content without our knowledge to try to justify billing us $500 monthly. They are a complete rip off of a company and would not recommend using them.
There are a lot of other good companies that don't have to resort to tricky ways of doing business. An unethical company that preys on small businesses just to sign them up and charge monthly fees for doing nothing- Beware.. there are other reviews saying the same thing about them.. so if others are experiencing the same thing, then chances are you will too. Good reviews could be from their own staff and other fake reviews they put up for them selves.
Also - The people working there have terrible attitudes and just seem to have their college degrees in manipulation and justification.
